It's going to time out and lose the events I requested because I have to go to work.

Clearly PFS needs to add more tables for High Level play at Gen Con, 5 tables of each is not enough. Make it happen.

Me thinks the table count for the special level ranges was off.

7-8? Full. 9-11? Full. 1-2? 110 tickets left. Well, on the bright side: i'll do something non-pfs for Friday night for the first time in forever!

Dark Archive 4/5

This was an interesting idea for the Interactive; however as Sabre put it, a terrible amount of planning for table break down.

High-Level play is finally seeing a surge in PFS, and at the Premiere con of the year... 5 tables? Again, I hope they go "oops our bad" and add 5 more tables of each, because they will sell out.

Fix it.

3/5

I believe that the intention is to shift tables around based on ticket demand. Last year Mike B. shifted several offerings based on ticket sales. It just wasn't done the first day, maybe the second or third week. I don't know when they plan to make adjustments, but I expect that they will.

Current sales

Serpent's Ire: 460/960 available

The Cosmic Captive (1-2): 58/210 available
The Cosmic Captive (3-4): 5/216 available
The Cosmic Captive (5-6): 2/180 available
The Cosmic Captive (7-8): 24/155 available
The Cosmic Captive (9-11): 16/210 available
The Cosmic Captive (ACG): 31/80 available

Through Maelstrom Rift: 367/960 available

Update: The number have been updated as I type!!!!!

That could be from people dropping tickets or from Paizo changes. I don't know

Grand Lodge 4/5 5/55/5 ***

we actually have 8 tables of Seeker scheduled. One of the issues with offering more tables is finding the right GMs to run them.

I guess maybe I should look at getting tickets? I wasn't really looking to do anything but GM for the most part. Would generics work if I'm not concerned about actually getting a table?

Actually, I'm watching the ticket number now and am making adjustments as needed, sending requests to Gen Con staff to change our offerings. We are *working* to make the ticketing experience the best we can for our players!

3/5

You need to remember that not all tickets placed in peoples carts are actually purchased. We are looking at live numbers. After two hours of inactivity a ticket is returned to the available pool. Also, (a small number) of tickets will become available before GenCon as peoples plans change.

I think the "by tier" change is working well so far.

If you just want to drop in whatever is open, generics usually work.

They most likely won't work for specials. Those tend to fill up and real ticket holders make a point of showing up.

Dark Archive 4/5

Bob, how does 30 tickets equal 8 tables?
There were only 30 tickets available at noon. So....? Where are the rest?

Demanding we do something is probably the best way to make sure we don't.

Having any Seeker tables at Gen Con is a difficult thing. There is quite a bit of thought that goes into the schedule. Just adding tables isn't always possible, or feasible.

There were also 3 tables of the Seeker arc going Fri-Sat-Sun. 9 tickets open at this point.

It makes ticketing a bit more hairy. But it allows our GMs to prep a focused game, instead of being ready for anything. Last year, we had GMs that prepped 1-5 running 7-11 because of the surge on high level tables. By tier sales is an attempt to alleviate that run.

Not a problem considering I'm running all the specials. :)

There was indeed some extra slots available for 7-11 special, and part 3 of the seeker arc, however I didn't see any available tickets Thursday / Friday.

Again, Im going off what was stated as 8 tables, that should be 48 tickets, versus 30. That's all. And yes as a consumer sometimes demanding is the only viable route to be heard.

However a demand isnt a negative, as the ton of make it happen can be read with whatever inflection you'd like, my statement however does hold up. People can and will come to play High-level arcs. It's up to the producer to offer a product people will buy, and continue to keep coming back to buy again and again.

So; yes - demands can be both beneficial and a hindrance, merely upon the way you look at them.

Also, more Thursday / Friday seeker spots pleaz. 8)

Also, my table was a table that had a 1-2 prepped judge running us for our 11 table. I say 11, because everyone at the table was 11, for the 7-11 special, and we took turns helping the nice lady try to kill us all.

Clicked Submit within 2 seconds of it turning green. Started at 629. It got to 560 refreshing itself, but was stuck there for 10 minutes. I went to a different page and came back to the wish list page and it said it processed successfully. Got everything I wanted.

Thanks for volunteering. Do you just want to run those three tables as a tier 6, or a few more for a higher tier? ;-)

Wish list processing = nothing in carts. That will be true later, but now? If they're gone, they're gone.

Also, Tonya: I appreciate that you're trying to shift things and due to your sponsorship, you probably can. However, I know the specials sell out: if I don't get it because it's full at my desired level range, I and my +3 (4 total) aren't likely to check back just in case 4 tickets somehow magically appear. I'll see if my group is willing to play at a lower tier and if not, move on to other events.

I realize it's the 1st year trying something new and we'll see how it goes. However, this is a bummer - and if my group does decide to play different characters at a lower tier now and more high tier become available later, the attempt to go back to what we wanted to play is going to be a mess.

I got in at 1637. It took maybe 20 minutes for me to get processed and checked out.

I think it's safe to say that the new Seeker arc has driven up demand higher than years past for 11+ level play. Thanks to Tonya and company for keeping an eye on these numbers and attempting to provide more opportunities.

My number was 1262. Was finished processing in about 30 minutes.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

If I hadn't spent 3500 on my room, and wanted free room for Gen Con I actually wouldn't mind doing another Iron Man run. Lord knows I did 13 years Iron Manning for the RPGA.

Maybe next year 8)

If you're just trying to get in Season 8 stuff, I have never had a problem just buying my tickets right before the slot for my open slots.

@ Swiftbrook; my bad, you're right. Have to log in within 2 hours of wish list processing, visit cart, and pay or your tickets escape.

Got into all but 1 thing. Gonna be doing specials this year, for the 1st time since like year 0 (the scavenger hunt thing). Hopefully they will run more smoothly then that did.

There are 5 tables running the arc Thurs-Fri-Sat = 30 seats

There are 3 tables running the arc Fri-Sat-Sun = 18 seats

They were all there, just not altogether.

Tickets for the Thurs / Friday opened up and I got them, I'm thinking it was due to Tonya and Bob's hardwork. So thank you both.

Wasn't able to score 9-11 on Friday, but did get 7-8. Will see who I have in that range come GenCon or will pre-gen, but not too bad.

Also willing to swap-out with someone if they turn out to need that, trading up only for me, though.

Thank you very much to the PFS leadership for remaining on top of the situation!

EDIT: Sees that TOZ might be running 7-8. Perhaps hanging onto ticket is a *good* idea...

Keep an eye on ticket availability between now and the convention, especially in the final two weeks. There are always people who cancel their plans and tickets drop back into the catalog. I recall that we we arrived last year, there was something like 20 tickets available on Wednesday. Course they were gone by the event start, but it happens.

It seems like the Faithless and Forgotten series is very popular, while several other Tier 1-5 scenarios are somewhat less so. Could it be possible to add more tables of the former and reduce some of the latter? I have that one friend that didn't get his wish list in on time and has no tickets to join the rest of our gaming group in playing this series, and I was hoping he could get something more solid than generics and a positive attitude.

Please?
Nicely?
Pretty Please?

First, remember it's early in the event ticket process. We have like 6 weeks for pre-registration and all the way up to the con for regular ticket sales. Thinks will change.

Second, I expect there will be some shifting of GMs and tables just to mess up Bob's hours of hard work developing a nice schedule based on ticket sales.

Yes, I know all of this. I'm just officially asking on behalf of my friend who is now considering not going because of his particular experience with the preregistration system this year.

Liberty's Edge 4/5

Did you know that you can buy tickets for all of your friends as long as they have a badge and they're on your gencon friends list? You can reduce the headache to one person's effort with a little extra pre-planning.

Yeah, we normally do this, but due to circumstances, I was unable to commit to buying everyone's tickets this year.

I was 5500 upon hitting the button right at noon. That landed me about an hour and forty minute wait. I was able to get the tickets I wanted for the specific interactive tier and both of the other new specials. I did not sign up for any individual scenarios as I can play those throughout the year. I bought tickets for myself, my wife, and a coworker and his wife.

I had a friend who had a longer wait and wasn't able to get a 10-11 tier for the special. But he was able to swap it out later. I'm guessing people bought it for their friends, then realized their friends did the same thing and returned the surplus. Keep checking back for the next few days and I'm sure you'll see more 10-11s pop up.

I was on my way to running We Be Goblins Free at a FLGS. I logged in at 1201 and was number 6700 in line. I got to the store and ran my game keeping an eye on my progress. About an hour and a half in I was cleared and to my dismay I only got two out of my 5 requests. Another player at my table encouraged me to try again later. After getting back home a couple of hours later I managed to get the rest: The Cosmic Captive and all three parts of All For Immortality. I don't know how I lucked out. I was so disappointed that I almost cancelled going. Thanks Tonya for staying on top of this.

The Exchange 5/5

I got everything except the pair of Tier 7-8 tickets I wanted for the special. I was working from a phone at the Georgia Renaissance Festival, so not the ideal situation. It took me about 10 minutes to connect to the website and submit my wishlist. My initial number was about 6570 or so. An hour later, I was at about 1100. I checked in an hour later and had all but the aforementioned tickets to the special. Checked out with no problem.
