GM ruled previously that draws were made randomly, just so you are aware. My level up is complete. I wasn't updating here as I was interested in seeing if anyone else wanted to clear the library and see if there was loot there. It appears not, so rest seems best. I believe the Jacks were gone and then I pulled the 5 of spades (something like that - it was the kobold) Niu thankfully accepts Kishokish's hospitality, though he is quiet. His thoughts do travel back to the library. "Kishokish, are you aware that wasps have built a nest in your library? This seems particularly bad, since some wasps eat paper. Perhaps we should clear them out? I'd love to see what kind of research you have available there."

Ah, yes, appearances Niu cocks his head to the side, peering at Tally as of he were confused. As he does so, a large beetle crawls out of his fetish covered tunic and perches on his shoulder. The beetle adopts a similar pose and Niu looks down at the beetle. "No, Neb-en-toti, I don't know what he is Tallying either, but he seems nice.", he says in a thick Osirian accent. Tapping a badly sunburned finger on his cracked lips, Niu quietly observes the newcomer until the beetle pinches him. "Ow! What? Oh... Introductions, of course. I'm playing a Life Spirit shaman in another game. Makes a great healbot, while hexes give a lot of utility. I use him as a healbot/debuff. I think Shaman was done really well and the class as a whole is fun and useful.

The witch has basic healing abilities, and the Pally is a decent healer as well. I liked having another half-divine in the party (the Inquisitor), but it likely isn't essential. Once we get the ability to purchase wands, I'm hoping healing becomes less of an issue. I think just about anything could work (other than another skill monkey). Buffing would be great though. We don't have much of that right now. Investigators can do that quite well at later levels though...

Niu is fine moving on. He still has all his spells. Then again, they will be practically useless against this creature. Resting isn't going to make it much better. I could make a couple of shifts, but nothing that would demonstrably change the battle. We have two more CLW potions, but that is it for healing, if we want to get Agnimitra to full strength. If you guys are ok moving forward, cool. If not, hey, we've been up for something like 20 minutes now. Niu could use a break. ---- Nobody else wants to finish exploring the third floor?

Probably something similar to this rod I was unable to identify." He tries to think back to what the picture said. "I think it is supposed to capture the soul of the Wihsaak. I imagine once you have possession of it you would need to strike the wihsaak with it, but that is only a guess." Turning to the picture again, he asks. "Can you tell us anything about how to use your master's staff?"

"A Wihsaak is a powerful foe. We must hope that this staff will provide a significant boost to our ability to deal with the creature, as I fear we may be overmatched otherwise. Donovan is the only one who might be able to deal with the creature physically, given its resistance. My suggestion would be for Etgar to try to acquire and use the staff. I will do my best to try to help, but I do not have spells that will be effective. Perhaps I can try to keep others standing by providing healing. I imagine that another night of rest would help us to prepare better magics."

As for resting, I could use some additional healing, that I can get from a potion, but I don't think we have used too many other resources that will be replenished with another day of rest. But, I will go along with what the rest of you want. For now, we may as well look at the room to the south since we are up here."

After a few seconds with nothing else happening, he takes a deep breath, picks up his sickle and slams it back into his belt. "I thought flanking with Etgar might help you bring it down more quickly.
