Ok, I need to make some clarification. Naia moved two rounds ago to Grond's position to retrieve her harpoon. Although, I hadn't checked the map to see if someone moved her from her postion on the stairs... THEN Ferona called for Naia to follow her, which I posted that Naia would do on the most recent round, though that may be because Ferona thought Naia was still on the stairs. So I think if that is the case, Naia should actually still be with Grond, and is going to move where I just positioned her on the map, at the top of the southern-feeding passage between Grond and Antas and next to the downed Smuggler #7...If Ferona was calling to Naia from where she was with Grond, then I can move her to Ferona's position. Naia is helpful and acquiescing that way....at time. Just ask Rab.

Venomous. Most probably a Brown, one of our most dangerous, but as I never saw it I can’t be sure. Living in the bush we see snakes pretty regularly and the dogs are both high prey-drive (Husky and Shepherd-Husky). The Husky got bit, and by the time I got to the vet he was shaking and made no pupil dilation. He had the anti-venom administered twice and has spent the past five days on drips, with anti-seizure medicine, lube for his eyes because he couldn’t blink etc... He finally came home today, much worse for wear, but is on the improve. Now to see how well he recovers as the venom can impact kidneys, destroy muscle tissue and cause neurological damage. Yay! Yep, definitely PF1, just providing some ideas. I’m pretty confused (and Naia likely moreso) about the enemy movements, which is making it all feel pretty real. Just had a bout of laser-skirmish for my som’s 10th birthday - situational awareness was in much demand. In the fog of war (dark warehouse maze with blacklights I’m pretty sure I shot my team-mates at least twice each...;)

Unless he had started loading on the previous round? In non-house-ruled PF1e, loading a heavy crossbow is a full round action. In PF2e it is a two Action activity, that can be taken as the last action of one turn/first action of the next if your DM allows it. As far I’m Understanding anyway...

* Hmm, tough one. Grond's post really didn't imply caution at all, so I can see DM taking the words at face value, and really that is all Jack can go off. It makes sense, given the medium to apply as much written verbiage to ensure what you want to happen is understood. However, it makes sense for Grond to be cautious as all we have ever experienced, including Grond is ambush after trap after sneak attack. So I imagine he would at least have been...situationally aware, if not cautious. Then again, it is hard to apply caution when you are running after/chasing a bad guy. * As for the new initiative, that did strike me as odd, as this is still one ongoing combat, albeit with new participants. I could see a whole new Initiative just for Grond and the shooting smugglers, and then we all slot in after we arrive.

Can Naia try to disbelieve the wall on her next turn? On the general note of illusions, at what point are they...ridiculous as far as verisimilitude goes? Naia has, before turning away, seen missile fire erupting from behind/through the wall. She *knows* in her rational mind it isn’t real, but still can’t see it away. At what point does it disappear from being unable to suspend disbelief? If you hit it? Seems a bit odd that it can spew bolts and still “appear” to be a “wall”. Just, you know, complaining about illusions and illusionists...

@Jack - not being much of a player of spellcasters, and Naia not really understanding magic, none of your clues alert me to anything. It’s just more smoke and mirrors lumped into “don’t believe anything you see”. @Jack - why don’t ranged attacks get a bonus for higher ground on the stairs? Or are you just adding melee attacks on steep stairs against foes also on the stairs to the bonuses of higher ground (which I assume gives a bonus to ranged attacks)?

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 Ready: Throw Harpoon Ready: The ready action lets you prepare to take an action later, after your turn is over but before your next one has begun. Readying is a standard action. It does not provoke an attack of opportunity (though the action that you ready might do so).

I'm confused - in THIS post you say: "Narciso's turn and then Group 1 can go again." The Narciso had his turn, and Rabalar, then just now you post "Awaiting Antas to move for group 3". Ferona and I are in group 2. Have we missed our turn, or is Antas still to take his turn from last round?!?
