I know it's obviously up to the GM's discretion, but in ordinary D&D and Pathfinder grappling doesn't work that way; there's a limited number of grapple checks/constriction attacks you can make each round.

Yeah, unless there are some special rules for a sand kraken the grappling seems kind of funny. Usually you need to spend a standard action to maintain a grapple, which means you can't full attack at the same time.

"Be wary of those runes," he suggests. "Perhaps they are holding this monster prisoner. It would be best not to disturb them."

"Let's see what's on the second floor," N'Djamena suggests. "If it's too much for us to handle, we can retreat to the sanctuary."
