Today's Pathfinder 2nd Edition new roundup is mainly about Critical Hits! And Failures. There's also a brief diversion into "save or suck" effects, and that old favourite, "damage on a miss" (tl;dr -- it's a failed attack roll, but not a miss). As always, this information gets added to the mighty Pathfinder 2nd Edition Compiled Info Page!

The latest blog entry over at Paizo delves a little into the three game modes of Pathfinder 2nd Edition -- encounter, exploration, and downtime. Erik Mona also talks a little about the future Bestiaries, and some more discussion on death and dying. As always, all this information gets added to the Pathfinder 2nd Edition Compiled Info Page!

And if you mean just pasting the link into the posting box at the bottom, yes, the link has a space. I used the url tag:

and if necessary remove the space before submitting. Replace the first "{" with a "[".
Without wanting to digress back into tech support, whenever I post a correctly link here with the URL tags, and hit submit, the software inserts a space into it, breaking the link, after I hit submit, not before.

Dunno about any others, but we're planning on supporting it with TRAILseeker II (same as our current TRAILseeker patreon, but PF2, obviously).
Since that's like 18 months away, not exactly panicking over it.
That's still not working for me. It keeps adding spaces into the URL and breaking it.

This is my second attempt to do this today, as I had all this compiled earlier and then the internet flaked out on me just as I hit "Save". So... starting again! Today's Pathfinder 2nd Edition news update, remarkably similar to the one I wrote about an hour ago, includes Jason Bulmahn talking about game design goals, Mark Seifter clarifying some things about the new proficiency system, and Erik Mona discovering that the most popular archetype is the Archeologist! All, of course, will be added to the Pathfinder 2nd Edition Compiled Info Page!

Proficiencies are the big news for Pathfinder 2nd Edition today! We take a look at Paizo's new blog on proficiencies, and I break down Mark Seifter's daily novel (I have no idea how that guy has time to work on the game!); some of the quotes below get a little opaque, so free to skim past them unless your Pathfinder system mastery skills are strong. We also very briefly look at magic items and Resonance again.

There's a fair amount to unpack in today's Pathfinder 2nd Edition news roundup! The big thing, I think, is where we find out what Resonance is and how it limits magic item use (and CLW wand-spamming); there's a ton more playtest demo media for you to watch or listen to, and some discussion from Paizo's Mark Seifter on Pathfinder 2nd Edition's differences to D&D 5E. Hey all, I don't get over here much, but as has been my tradition for every edition of D&D and Pathfinder since Eric Noah started compiling information on D&D 3E back in 1999, and I did the same with D&D 3.5, D&D 4th Edition, Pathfinder, and D&D 5th Edition, I'll be compiling every snippet of information about Pathfinder 2nd Edition I can find all in one place!
