ok so while i wait for fluff stuffs approval or dis approval, crunch wise i wanna be an empyrial aasimar sorcerer, empyrial is an alternate celestial bloodline that makes my casting run off of wis instead of cha, i like the idea of high wis characters more than cha ones so ill be able to roll play better, also celestialy blooded aasimar cliche anyone?

ill likly have the sheet drawn together for tomoro unless someone has any objections, GM just to clerify i assume im following the same rules for PC creation as the OP in the recruitment thread?

ill pass on that level of randomness, but i appriciate a GM that allows players to choose so thanks there, i feel like this isnt an issue but i want to also use a bunch of the physical traits that that page lists, i assume none of those are an issue

just to run those past oyu how do you feel about glowing eyes and i plan on taking the feat for flying if i get that far and you allow it, my description will have wings though they will not be usefull untill level 11 as thats the earliest you can take the feat.

also sweet taste, so you can make some lols when people inevitably get their mouth on me for one reason or another

ok seems i wont have alot of time today to do things, since im dead thats not really an issue but questions about my new character ill build.

1:i kinda wanna do an aasimar, they arnt core so i need to ask

2: on the page below there is a chart for if aasimar give up their SLA they can get something else, can i use that chart?

2b:should i be able to use that chart can i pick what i get with any limitations that you so choose, i personally wouldn't allow the flight or flat stat bonuses but set any limits you want and ill stick to them

the -11 took into account my +2 from my con bonus, the actuall math would have been

rolled a 19 +2 for con -13 for current health = 8

so i was close but not close eenough

Morgrym realizing that the massive bush like creature had murderous intentions for his newfound friends valiantly stood his ground. the creature lurched forward with unexpected speed and lashed out with tentacles that Morgrym had not the speed to react to. the blow struck firmly knocking the wind from his lungs and his mind from his body.

Floating outside hiss form Morgrym watched as the tentacles of the creature crushed him but oddly he didnt feel the pain, Morgrym even watched as the last breath his body would draw was slowly exhaled, his chest never to rise again.

It was at this time that he heard the voice of the earth stronger and clearer than he ever had before, all his life he had heard it wisper but now it spoke, evenly and calmly, it told him of the warmth he will find, the others will survive or find their peace but he cannot remain to help them as his time has passed.

So Morgrym sank, slowly into the earth and while his allies saw only his dieing body and not his sowl descending they did see his skin slowly turn to stone, cold and hard, encasing him in its embrace for the rest of time.

oh of course, i like the idea of a sorcerer that specs illusions ro something but when they fail and the enemy is all confident my backup plan is say lightning bolt to the face!

i dunno, i dont usually have alot of character ideas floating around my head, its not really my thing, though i have thought about perhaps an illusion speced scorcerer perhaps, ive always thought illusions are under used

edit:i usually start a character by finding a class or ability i like and want to explore and go from there, i think of the person that suits that after

Morgrym and the party are making their way through the woods, scouting the region to see what they can find and ensure the region is safe when a bush not to far in front of them feels as if its staring at them, having no specific knowledge of the creatures of nature Morgrym isnt sure if he is just imagining it or what he is seeing is real but he tries to recall if any storys ever spoke of bushes with faces. Not quite sure of what he is seeing Morgrym address the party "I may be a dwarf gone mad but for the life o me i swear that bush is lookin at me like it wants me dead. anyone else take notice of that?"

"well poison never really bothered a dwarf but at the same time id rather not have my guts turning if i can help it" Morgrym said after he was informed as to the nature of what was inside the bottles.

"Donovan, clerics often use their magics to root out poisons and the like far as i understand, if you pray for the power and look to these bottles im sure we can safly deturmin which are safe and which arnt" Morgrym said with a cheery tone, clearly happy to have a member of the clergy and the benifits that come with them on hand

"now what say we all to ensure this region of the lands be clear while cutting a southern crescent back to Olegs place? or do we plan on camping afield this evening?" Morgrym was looking to get this show on the road, took half a day to find this place and while it bore fruit there is still much to be done

Morgrym sees the party leaving the home with some boxes and can hear the sound of clinking glass as they move about It seems we have garnered something from this meeting it seems, good

identifying a potion as far as im aware is a perception check.... yes DC15 + caster level, pretty hard for our level as yet so those may not be useful for the time being if we arnt certain which are poisoned

Hearing Vlad reply Morgrym relaxes a little, seems the interactions with the man went well, and Vlad can tell them more about it once he and the others leave the home. Morgrym briefly wondered if they would need help carrying anything out from the cottage but he shall wait, rushing someone out of a social situation can be rude

Morgrym having elected to wait outside patiently waits for his companions to talk with the man, hopefully garnering an ally or at least a partner, despite the mans apparent lack of sanity the alchemist did seem to know how to make potions. Hearing a single explosion Morgrym tenses but after hearing no alarm from within of note decides to wait If the old man attacked surly he could not get all three of them, must be nothing worth worrying about, at least i hope. I dont wish to startle the old man further but ill only wait out here so long

Morgrym sees Durielle cough up the blood and addresses Sugua in a polite tone on her beghalf "Sugua its true your a strong one physically but as you can see Durielle clearly is not, she can contribute in many ways but if you exacerbate her condition she may be of no help to anyone, use whatever words you like with her but please be more gental with yer hands"

Morgrym hoping to diffuse the situation speaks up and addresses Bokken "We be needin nothing specific from ya kind sir, we come in look of allies or at least a professional in the area who will accept coin for his services should we need them. We hear tell your an alchemist and from the vial you threw that seems certain. as was told we are here to retake this region from the various miladies that hold it and ever bit of help is appreciated. in the name of peace i offer to come to you both unarmed and unarmored to show we mean no harm. will you at least let one of us in to talk with you?"

After the several hours of searching Morgrym is happy to see the cottage they can only assume belongs to Bokken "Finally, perhaps we should have asked for better directions from Trent, ah well at least we found the place. "Yes Trent id like to meet this man too, perhaps an ally in our cause, and if not at least a man of skill that im sure would accept coin for his services, i would like to meet this man as well" Morgrym held great respect for the alchemical and arcane arts, its takes lots of time and diciplin typically to master them and they can be powerful tools in the proper hands.

"and on another thought Trent, I completely understand Oleg here not wanting the home of himself and his wife turning into a staging point for a war, is there any abandoned fortresses or forts or the like nearby where we could feesibly set up a staging point for the dangerous expeditions into these lands?" Upon hearing Olegs protestations on the party setting up the post with traps and the like Morgrym realized that the group had been assuming that this mans home would become a war camp and that was most unfair to the man withought asking him fisrt

ok, then we leave this question to our GM, whenever you read this how do you feel about the oracle restoring spells, either way im cool, if she needs to pray i was just gunna offer to join her, whiel as a stonelord i no longer gain spells i still feel like i should pray to my god every day, i am a devine class after all

oh i know you dont have to prepare your spell slots, your like a scorcerer but if i remember correctly even scorcerer's need to meditate for an hour every day, this question is for RP, not so much mechanics, i get the mechanics of a oracle easily enough

edit: es thats what i ment talomyr, do oracles need to do the meditating still?

Listening to the description of the area Morgrym speaks outloud his thoughts, partial on purpose, partiall from the drinking that has occured thus far "Well it sounds like our work is cut out for us. It's good to know a alchemist is nearby we may need his services at some point. Those lizard folk and kobolds will need to be brought into line one way or another if we are to make headway into this reagon, dont need them nipping at our heels. I agree the field of bear traps is best avoided for now but should be cleared at some point"

This first major foray out into the world was ever increasingly interesting to Morgrym, trying to bring peace to these lands would be difficult if people in this area do things as silly as lace a field with traps.

Morgrym let the stresses of the day fall off him, removing his helmet and his gloves he gets a mug of whatever Oleg is offering for drink

talking now to the rest of the party "perhaps we should return this bear corpse to Olegs camp and make dinner, discuss with him proper what can be told of this region and its inhabitants"

Worry for Angor hardly has a chance to cross Morgrym's mind before Durielle and Thessk diligently heal him of his wounds before they worsen making the bear attack harly noticeable

The battle over in a flash once again Morgrym remarks "well Oleg was right about the wild life around here being hostile, we should be keeping a better eye out for such beasts, though i wonder if this pelt would be worth anything, bears are often used for rugs and the like. anyone know the going rate for a bear?" Morgrym says with a chuckle "have either of our survivalists noticed anything unusual so far?"

Following up on Angor's suggestion Morgrym adds in "And maybe some pit traps outside the fort? Its good to hear the bandits arnt as close as they said they were. I volunteer to join a scouting group to survey the area and see if there is any useful supplies or locations about, Angor you seem a knowledgeable sort, would you assist me in these endeavors? we should leave some people here but half of us should be safe to leave i would think"

Morgrym takes a moment to look around at the fortifications and replies "look at this place, the towers are in disrepair and anyone standing on the walls is just as likely to be shot as they are to shoot someone, the bandits would sooner burn us out than hold this place, taking to the fight would be dangerous yes but i feel it far less dangerous than trying to make a stand here when they are looking for trouble"

ok question about the construction of these walls here, can we safely sit behind them and use them for cover while firing out? palisade is a rather general term for a wooden wall and can vary in meaning. if we can trade ranged combat with the benifit of walls then this place is more defensible than i thought, so can we get a better description of the defenses from the view of the inside of this place?
