Sorry to hear you're dropping out Hoeroa. It was fun reading through all of the posts and thinking through how Leialoha would interact with Hoeroa and his 'between the worlds' life (I'd already decided that Leialoha was going to insist on calling him Hoeroa if I was accepted). Tiki will also be horribly missed. Too often familiars, companions and constructs fade into the woodwork, but you did a brilliant job of breathing life into Tiki and I loved the interplay at times between him and Hoeroa. Good luck in school. Maybe a mission back to the Tikarua to follow up on one of the shark attacks or something similar would be called for so you can slip back in after graduation. Thanks for the support of both Hoeroa and myself. And yes, Tiki was too much fun. Look after him Sandman! I did think that perhaps after I graduate if you guys aren't swallowed by Dajobas I might ask brvheart if I could return….
Sorry, guys. I have to drop out of the game. I welcome the two new recruits - they both look very cool, and I'm sure they will more than replace my tortured adoptive-Tulita. My school year is about to start, just six months to go to get my degree, and I want to give it my best. It has been a real pleasure gaming with you Obi, Sandman, Beth and Silas. Morgan couldn't have found a better bunch of adventurers. He didn't always agree with you, but we all made it worthwhile. Thanks so much to brvheart for his attention to Razor Coast, and taking the time to create this version of the Razor Coast world and story.
Morgan finds Sandman, and gives him a big brotherly hug. Morgan looks around at the bustling, smelly, crazy, interesting streets and buildings of Port Shaw - what once was the most holy cove of his adopted people. I cannot linger here any longer my brother. My destiny is not entwined here, but writhes longer in the sands than in the streets. I wish you well, and hope to see you at the campfire back home soon." He bids goodbye to Obi, Beth and Silas - looks with a little wonder for Jequette, remembers Mallory. With much ceremony, he removes his little Tiki necklace and places it on the big Tulita's palm. "May he bring you much luck in the future brother."
@D-Kal, I don't think not having the guide will harm your chances - brvheart is very inclusive... As a heads-up, we have rogue and melee covered. We really need an AoE arcanist, in my humble opinion...
Yeah, I'm not really that sure of other players I play with play styles, nor arcanists. Go recruitment…

This is what I have for XP for any of those who have not received personal rewards from brvheart. 5903 + 300 for banquet + 1066 for this encounter = 7269/8000
Morgan watches with growing alarm. If it devolves into a fight, and Sandman gets involved, Morgan will back him up. Damn.
Morgan stays out of the plan. First we aid the dragoons at the wharf, then we go to lunch with Bonedeuce. Now this. These colonials are crazy.
Morgan is always interested in colonial spectacle, as it reinforces his basic mistrust and dislike of his former life. Where they make a wasteland, they call it law
Morgan is not impressed b the attempt to wrest information from Barrett's corpse. "Hmmph. The dead should not be disturbed. We didn't need his information anyway - most likely he would have lied. Let us make plans to approach the cove's cove."
Morgan has little idea of the machinations at work here. We want to know who he worked for and who comprises the leaders of the Ring. "He might know the rat bone wearing half-caste that stole the Tulita jawbone perhaps - or location of said ne'erdowell?"
Morgan walks casually, buoyed up by a little wine and a lot of food. "Well, the banquet tasted beautiful!
Morgan catches the lilt of an old, log forgotten reel in Silas' playing. He closes his eyes, transported to another place, a childhood in another place, fog-shrouded and bustling - a smoky tavern and the smell of food not too dissimilar to this set before him - and a seat at his father's side, a father long lost to the sea that now claims him. He remembers his place and opens his eyes, but cannot resist humming along, his voice breaking out as he sings along. He cares not for the niceties of decorum, this music is in his veins, his blood, his people.
It has been a long time, and although he almost forgets a word or two here and there, he is proud to realize he has not truly forgotten who he once was, or how he came to be here.
Morgan is impressed despite himself by Obi's loquaciousness and crowd pleasing tale-telling. He cannot help a scowl where specifics are mentioned, especially anything relating to Tiki...
Morgan attempts to subtly charm all - ladies and gentlemen and any children present with his "simple yet honorable native scout" persona. He talks down the actual specifics of the jetty battle, allowing only that the official forces were "mighty fine men" and that "we couldn't have done it without them - and my sturdy brother here" indicating the beaming and gregarious Sandman….
Morgan makes eye contact with any who look at him, though his manner is neither overbearing or haughty. He eats heartily, using the utensils of his former culture with ease.
Just as a heads up - I made a post about increasing the functionality of the Class/Level field to make it easier for PbP's. By all means favorite it, stop on by and comment and spread the link. Would make things much better for all of us... Maybe not the coders though... ;)
Also: how? This alias uses one in a Razor Coast PbP but I still don't fully understand how. So I throw the harpoon in one hand, and hold the rope with the other.
The tools of his various trades carefully wrapped in bundles of cloth, only Morgan's Ieku (war oar) is conspicuous. He holds it loosely as a tribal Tulita might a walking stick or other cultural item. Inserting himself into the throng, Morgan finds something to drink and some nibblies. He looks around, attempting to catch anyone particularly watching him or his companions.
Morgan listens fondly to Jequette's reminiscences - even in his former life he was not privy to such luxury or events. "I walk between two worlds - the old countries, and the Razor Coast. I am Tulita now, Sandman's bonded brother. I would take his sister's hand in marriage, but I must prove myself to their father... And to her... As for feasts and balls, the Tulita are enamoured of both, though balls might not be the word. A dancing carouse? A wild rite? Join us someday and taste the deep cooked flesh of the hangi - we roast leaf-wrapped meat and vegetables in a covered pit in the ground filled with coals and hot rocks!" Morgan taps Barrett's wrapped body for emphasis and smiles wickedly before laughing at his own joke.
"Thanks Jequette. Nice perfume too…" Morgan assists Jequette with Barrett's body before again attempting to locate the hidden door he feels is here somewhere.
Hahahahahahaaha. Hrrrrhm.
I pretty much go for an "as need" basis. Anything beyond that gets sold and split evenly.
"This sounds like an excellent plan Beth. I don't mind waiting, we will likely have to rush to meet the Governor either way. If we keep Barrett's belongings we might consider keeping them hidden or changing their appearance somewhat to help disguise them - if there are those in league with Barrett at the Governor's audience they might recognize such items...." Morgan strips Blister of all his mundane armor, clothes, boots (if any) and valuables and then asks Sandman to help him dump the half-orc in a vat to see what happens. He then pokes around the room trying to find a portal to the Barnacle's cellar.
Morgan points the ring out to Beth. Beth, I am so sorry… He turns away, checking the bodies of Barrett and Blister for armor, valuables and weapons, casting detect magic on both of them.

Actually, double checking it is a full round action to Merge: Merge into Tikiman:
As a full round action you can spend a point of mana to place yourself inside one of your tikimen, taking control of the construct as if under the effects of a magic jar spell. This transformation includes all of your gear. While merged in this way, you are protected from harm and cannot be the target of spells or effects. All effects and spells currently targeting you are suspended until you emerge from the tikiman (although durations continue to expire). You can cast spells while inside the tikiman by taking control of the construct for the duration of the casting. Any material components used for these spells are taken from your gear, even though they are otherwise inaccessible. You can direct all of the tikiman's actions while merged, can perceive through its senses, and can speak through its voice. You can remain within the tikiman for a number of rounds per day equal to your yohunga level. You can end this effect at any time as a swift action, emerging in a square adjacent to the tikiman if able. If the tikiman is destroyed while you are merged with it, you are immediately ejected, take 4d6 points of damage, and are stunned for one round. * Basically, when Tiki is a necklace/amulet he hangs around Morgan's neck. When Morgan Merges, Tiki drops to the ground with Morgan inside him. Last Round: Given that it was impossible for Morgan to Merge in the previous round, Morgan will stand from prone as his Standard Action rather than Merge. This round: Morgan will either cast burning hands at Blister (DC 15, reflex for half)
OR If this would hit Silas Morgan will instead draw and then overhand chop with his war-oar:

I wouldn't relish being down there if the vats explode, tip or otherwise open… Let me know if you guys need Tiki's help - small spaces, rats to bite, friends to make...." If the last person in hasn't shut the door to the outside Morgan will do so.
