I'm fine with your ruling either way, but I had to ask as RAW also says "The GM determines whether you can use reactions before your first turn begins, depending on the situation in which the encounter happens." As we were aware of the of the people who came to attack us, we may have been prepared. But again, that's a GM judgment call on a case by case basis. I'm still learning all of the (many) nuances of the PF2 ruleset, so I always ask.
What kinds of knowledge skills we got covered? My alchemist has most of the knowledge skills except for Nature, but I'm guessing the druid has that covered. I think I'm leaning more toward my Fighter or Gunslinger at this point since we have a druid to help with the healing now. More damage is always good!
So what characters are people planning to play? I'm sticking with the goblin theme and making a Goblin barrister ranger. He's a backwoods lawyer who deals in simple justice. He sticks up for the little guys and the downtrodden while dealing the the prejudices he faces in his line of work. He's basically a goblin hillbilly version of Thurgood Marshall with pointy weapons. When we build a party like this, I know we try to make sure we have a good balance of skills, so here's the skills I'm looking at right now:
I've taken the Goblin Lore feat right now which gives me a few more skills, but I'm considering taking Rough Rider to allow me to ride goblin dogs and wolves. If only I could find out how to get one of those animals. Any ideas? If I switch, I'll lose Thievery, Goblin Lore, and Deception. What are you guys thinking about? |
