This talk of the South reminds me of a Greek girl I knew when I spent a semester in London. She used to always say "if I go to America, I would want to see South America." My response was "you mean Brazil and Argentina?"

She didn't. She meant the South, and never quite appreciated the distinction.

My wife still doesn't understand what I mean when I say "the country". She grew up in the OC, but I still love her.

Grits and okra are two things that I rank as regional foods. Alot of what Solnes family eats I consider utter crap. They're from Pit so I chaulk it up to what we were raised eating.

I'm a damned Yankee and love both okra and grits. Don't even get me started on country ham. So there.

Mmmmm, now I almost wish we were not having BBQ chicken for dinner..... almost.

Morning. Having cleaned and rebandaged my foot this morning I see that I am missing part of it. Getting this damn work boot on hurt like a b*%&% too. I'm gonna try and tough it today, but we'll see how that goes.

Home for less than five minutes and I have already bleed all over the kitchen floor. But at least there is Mt Dew in the fridge.

My foot hurts now. :(

Well, you bounce the ball against the floor and it heads toward the ceiling. It'll hit depending on how hard you bounce it.

The stomp rocket uses a small bellows to force air pressure into a chamber behind the rocket, the rocket is then sent toward the ceiling to relive the gas pressure in the chamber beneath it.

If you put some rocks under it, it fires in arcs! :P
