As my PCs approach the end of Iron Gods I have been adding content to foreshadow their post adventure path continuation. I plan to have them travel into space to combat the Dominion, Kytons, and possibly the Great Old ones. I really want to add ship-to-ship combat to the adventure. I have looked at a couple of third-party products currently available, they have been great for some aspects (adding alien species and environments), they didn't quite do it for the space combat. I did however find a Kickstarter that seems very promising. If you are like me and want to send PCs into space it might be something you want to look at. Rather than link to the Kickstarter itself here is the link to the discussion about it on the Paizo messageboards: Link: Aethera.
Hi All,
Thanks in advance and hope to see you all online soon.
Hello,
Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Pathfinder PF Special Edition Subscriber
A Shemhazian case incentive! Sqweeee!!!! I can not express the joy and elation I am feeling right now. My only issue being the long wait to November :( As for the others. I love the idea of another pseudo-generic set, like I've said before Legends had some of the best sculpts and variety of minis of any of the sets. If we could go back and remove the production issues that would have to be a crown jewel in the line. This set will hopefully be just as good. It's certainly off to a positive start. Kudos on the cohesion and variety between the cultists and it means I should easily fill my cult needs at the common rarity, although I'm imagining I may well be overflowing with cup holders (like many a modern car really) depending on how the distribution works with the smaller number of sculpts in each set. As for the match, please let it be another watchman, armed with a crossbow! Now I just hope we get a red mantis assassin, or better yet TWO, a male and a female. Or better yet perhaps a...Oh hell my wish list is just too long, besides I'm getting me a Shemhazian, all is right(?) in the world.
I am currently playing a Mystic Theurge in a mythic game and expect to come up against a mythic Worm that Walks soon. This particular WtW is able to regrow himself if even one worm survives. My plan is to defeat his main self then use planar binding to summon outsiders to hunt down any remaining worms (to save us time and it doesn't sound fun hunting every hidden piece down). In order to do so I am thinking the planar bonded outsider needs a way to get quickly to the worms (teleport) and some way to locate them (scry or maybe commune). I would prefer good outsiders. What are some suggestions using either lesser planar binding or planar binding? Any other suggestions?
Hi All, I recently started playing PFS (5 sessions so far) and the first time I played my character (a unarmed fighter) I focused on being offensive and in one scenario was dropped into the negatives 4 times. I went back to the drawing board and created a more defensive unarmed monk taking the Master of Many Styles and Monk of the Sacred Mountain archetypes. My feats are as follows: Level 1: Dodge (human), Crane Style, Crane Wing (Monk Bonus)
The Many Styles allows me to ignore the prereqs for the style feats as long as I have the required overall style (thus Crane Style). Now he can not only ignore one melee attack per round that hits him, he can punch back. Now not only have I not gone into negatives, I haven't been hit. Therein lies the problem and the reason I am here for advice. The PFS GM I play with is concerned about the inability so far to hit my character. I don't want to ruin the fun for anyone, much less the GM(s) I am now and in the future would play with. Is this character broken? A full-plate wearing Paladin will not only be all around harder to hit, it would do more damage and hit more often. I personally, think the build is fine since it comes with drawbacks (-1 to hit when fighting defensively, which is required when in Crane Style, less damage then pretty much any other type of attack, lower HPs than other front-line fighters), but am I just biased? If it isn't broken but the DM I play with thinks it is what should I do? Any advice is appreciated.
Hi All, So my question is that the Evangelist Cleric Sermonic Performance reads: An evangelist gains the ability to deliver a select number of supernatural and spell-like performances through the force and power of her divinely inspired preaching and exhortation. This ability is similar in all respects to bardic performance as used by a bard of the same level (including interactions with feats, spells, and prestige classes), using Perform (oratory) as the evangelist’s performance skill. However, an evangelist gains only the following types of bardic performance: countersong, fascinate, and inspire courage at 1st level; inspire greatness at 9th level; and inspire heroics at 15th level.
Does this mean that at 7th level he will be able to start a performance as a swift action as would a bard of 7th level?
Hi All, I am fairly new to PFS and had a question about purchasing from Chronicle Sheets. Say an item appeared on a Chronicle Sheet that I did not have the gold to buy at the moment, but three sessions later I did. Could I then buy it from the previous Chronicle Sheet? That is, once we have something on a previous sheet does it become always available to that character or does it have to be bought that session? Thanks.
Hi All, I am planning my first regular PFS chracter and am looking for advice. I played last month with a Brawler build maxing out strength and dumping Intelligence and found that I couldn't do much out of combat. I am not sure if other scenarios are equivalent in role play as the one I played (#3-21: The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment) but I started thinking about a mobile intelligent warrior instead. I settled on the Lore Warden and my build is as follows. Note: I took first level as Barbarian to gain medium armor proficiency, fast movement, extra HPS, and a little rage to help with combat maneuvers. I will use the Lucerne Hammer for reach as well as both slashing and bludgeoning, with a greatsword and armor spikes as backups when enemies get in range). I see him as being able to help control the battlefield with his reach weapon and combat maneuvers, but also deal big damage where needed. He will be medium armored, so able to avoid some damage. Finally, he will be useful outside of combat with increased skills. Human Barbarian 1/Fighter (Lore Warden) 11
Barb1: Weapon Focus (Lucerne Hammer), Power Attack
Any advice?
Hello, I am building a TWF Brawler archetype fighter with a two level dip into monk to pick up improved unarmed strike and style feats. My question is if I take Dragon Style which allows my first unarmed attack to do 1/2 strength in addition to normal strength on the first attack and I have TWF feat plus the monk ability of strength to all unarmed attacks (no off hand) can I do the following: Primary attack with a greatsword, then with the additional attack from TWF kick (unarmed attack).
Hi All, I am planning a unarmed fighter for PFS and would like some advice on my build. I see him as a cagey former pit-fighter who uses his scarred visage to intimidate others (out of combat) and wades into combat swinging. The build is designed to build up both his unarmed attack damage and also build off of intimidation (i.e. Dazzling Display and the Boar Style feats). I chose Human since it is pretty feat intensive, though the bonus to intimidate from half-orc could be helpful instead of the 1st level feat Intimidating Prowess. His stats would be:
Traits: Reactionary and Freed Slave (Andoran = +1 Will Saves) Fighter (Brawler) 1: Power Attack (Human), Two-Weapon Fighting (Fighter), Intimidating Prowess.
First level will 2-hand using a greatsword, after which I will rely mostly on two-weapon fighting unarmed. This build doesn’t have Improved Grapple, which may hurt (looking for advice on that as well). Any advice would be great. Thanks.
Hi All, I have been playing and GMing with a regular group of 4-5 people for about a year and am looking for more players or an additional game. I really like playing and would like to play a bit more regularly. Our local game stores do not hold regular Pathfinder games, so that hasn't been a good outlet to find anyone, so hopefully there are some local players on the forums. Thanks |
