Not a bad intro.

I like playing at my local lodge (Props to TriOmegaZero), but I won't GM in meatspace because I don't want to deal with physical maps, minis and gaming in pants. Online is just a more functional area for me to work in with my hectic life and having kids.

That and the Online region really has their stuff together, and the SFS games on there have been top notch.

Several people have tried to offer high resolution maps, converting existing AP's to better maps and have given up due to getting shut down by Paizo. Several artists have said it is not harder to offer higher resolution maps and have offered samples, but Paizo doesn't pick them up.

Right now, we are stuck with what we have unfortunately, and as a result, the digital platforms we use to game are getting short sticked.

Wait, people play the AP NOT in campaign mode? Weird. =P

I have finished book 4 with my group and start book 5 next game. I guess I will have to hand out chronicles when they are available.

The "undead" race that we have so far is not really undead and thematically not very "Eoxian"

The pregens are badly optimized for space combat.

Boo. This should be a graft option in addition to a playable race.

I am liking that they can't just murderhobo Goblins now just because "they are evil creatures."

I stand by using lego minifigures.

I am against a half-anything race just because of genetics. Never has it made much sense to me.

I'm interested on what you think Paizo could do differently, given that there are so many conventions out there with little to actually do with Paizo. Each Lodge is also different with little centralization.

I could have a lodge with a whole bunch of crazy a-holes who hate women and minorities and unless someone reported it, it would do unnoticed.

I think many have not thought of the point that the core book is not just for Golarion, but all potential settings using the rules. Good to point that out.

Bad player behavior cannot be blamed on characters. If you allow that excuse as a GM, shame on you. Goblins are like any race at an organized play table: explore, report, cooperate. Not burn, murder, annihilate.

PSA: Don't be a pushover GM. Bad behavior at a table is never allowed.

OMG, I must have missed where it was said that Goblins are a core race in PF2. This makes me very happy.

Liberty's Edge

I think this is potentially alright, just a crapton of money on top of already owning the core rules while the Pathfinder ruleset is still free? Will this change some time in the future because I couldn't see shelling out $50 additionally after already putting so much out for the book already. It's things like this that are off-putting on buying into "premium" VTT support.

My group avoided the encounter entirely and she escaped. I am going to use her in book 3 somewhere. The microgravity aspect I used mainly because I wanted to try out the rules. It was an experience, and I recommend using them 100% raw. It made the players squirm.

I never was a fan of half-anything species. It is just not how genetics work, but hey, MAGIC. I don't see why you can't make a potion to make interspecies fertility work.

I want a blow-up space station. I totally would live in one. You don't need gravity to grow vegetables; just use aeroponics.

I didn't read anything about her sexuality either, especially with the heroic sacrifice. I love my bros from the army and have seen some of the same types of heroic sacrifice from my closest friends, but we were totally straight. Without the author saying that she was specifically a lesbian I wouldn't have put that together.

Not that it really matters any ways. I am just intrigued on how people caught on to it so quickly, just like how I didn't pick up that Shardra was a transgendered iconic either.

Maybe it is just my cis gendered white male privlage.

The lego microfighters could be useful. I mean I use a lego minifigure when I play PFS at my FLGS.

Many things about this are great. I am not sure how I feel about "the score" yet.

The Score was created as both a storytelling and GM's tool, and also to help differentiate our setting from a place like Golarion, where concepts like prophecy and predestination are minimized. It's strongly inspired by the Draconic Prophecy from Eberron, in that it's more of a living road map that can be altered or misread.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

Thanks for the clarification on the score. It just seems weird to have the solar system shut off in a pocket so other gods or divine magic be restricted. To me it is not good or bad, just different.

I guess maybe I am trying to see how well Aethera can mesh with Starjammer, and with the system shut off in like a pocket, it might be difficult to incorporate aspects from Starfinder.

I imagine all these are not problems if you run the Aethera game vanilla, and at this point I am just collecting all the ideas I can for a future game.

It is really unfortunate about the closed playtest because the system itself went through a lengthy and very open playtest. I really enjoyed those days and sorry to see the system shift away from its roots so to speak.

The benefit on having it in the Paizo library is if I lose the backer PDF. It has happened before, and having an online library has saved my bacon.
Didn't you get as a DriveThru download? I know all of my kickstarters came from there, so pdfs are in my DriveThru library.
No, it was distributed via DropBox.
The files are now loaded to DrivethruRPG in preparation for wide release (they're closed to the general public until Friday), so if anybody who has already gotten their backer copies via Dropbox would like to have your PDF resent to you via DrivethruRPG let me know at makeyourgamelegendary@gmail.com and we'll be happy to drop it to you via that route so you've got an extra backup.

That is incerdibly generous. Offer accepted and email sent. Maybe I need to give Legendary Games another look due to awesome customer service.
