Merida rouses as her wounds begin to close, "Did I pass out again? I really wish people would stop killing me..." She produces her own wand, saying, "No need to waste your charges anymore, I've got a few on this one." She holds it aloft for someone to use. HP: 2/14. Merida charges the enemy directly in front of her, with a loud cry, slashing up at her with the falchion, maiming her smug little face. If it's a fair fight, that is.

Feeling fully rested, Merida ties her heavy wool cloak tight around her, fits her boots with the snowshoes, and follows the map with her comrades. She remarks to Cirri on the way that although she'd much rather be back home on the Taldane coast, she knew she'd never seen a more beautiful landscape than this.

Merida crouches low as they approach the gorge and whispers to the others, "It seems there are some people among the mammoths and aurochs up ahead." She puts a hand on the hilt of her falchion until they can determine what kind of people they are exactly. That is, friend or foe. Is there another roll for that? Or are we meant to just take a gamble? Either way, Merida readies a charging attack at the first sign of aggression against her or her mates.

During the days between missions, Merida has her fill (which is only about 1.5 mugs) of ale, and laughter. When Cirri talks to her about dog breeds, she's very intrigued to learn what exactly a "breed" is. Among her tribes-people dogs were used to hunt, and for warmth. They certainly culled the sick and weak, but she had no idea that people in other cultures would mate certain dogs together to bring about certain traits. Wait until the beast-master hears of this!

With her new spoils, the barbarian becomes a bit more civilized. She invests in stronger armor, and has her father's old falchion re-forged by a skilled mage-smith.

Coming upon the battle scene, Merida scans to see if anyone is still alive.

Lemme know how much they take (out of 5 days worth) if we're tracking all that.

Merida moves into the room, crossbow drawn, and takes a quick turn to stay out of the light 20% miss chance, thank you very much. She nocks a bolt, and points up, ready to shoot anyone she sees or who is pointed out to her.

Lt Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Unfortunately, the dog dips its head right when the bolt reaches it, and the bolt does serious damage. "Oh no! I'm so sorry!" Merida gasps, accidentally and briefly betraying her bad-girl façade.
