Grand Lodge

Cyborg

As no raider seem to be left around, Max jumps off Lucille and starts running upstairs...
Run Max RUUUUN: 1d6 ⇒ 3

If there are visible raiders in the next floor:

...arriving with armguns a-blazing "Come at me bros! There's nuff cyborg for all!"
Shooting: 1d8 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 01d6 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Well, f+#$. I guess Zeke is going to get shot... but he will shrug it off.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"Brace yoself, Nilus! We going in!" yells Max as he drives Lucille towards the opening the HMMV has made.

Driving: 1d8 ⇒ 41d6 ⇒ 4

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

I indeed am here and waiting.

You're about 20 yards away. Do note that every raider has medium cover from the building, which is another -2, so you're going to need that bonus to get any hits. Also, your cyber eyes give a +2 to hit from medium or long range (70 yards or more with your gun), which is mean to lower range penalties, unless you have a kind of eyes I can't find in the book.

Also, going to need Jane to roll to remove shaken and a drive check at a -2 before she can slam the jeep through the front door.

Daaaamn, completely mixed the Edge. You are right, I get the +2 to Notice over 30ft. The part about shooting and throwing is when firing at Medium or Long, so it negates or reduces by 2 the long range penalties.

I'm going to copy paste the edge's description in a spoiler on my profile for further reference.

Grand Lodge

Okey, now I know it for sure. Confussion comes from Greentea allowing semi auto Double Tapping and 3RB to balance Energy Weapons and Solid Projectile ones . I also keep forgetting that full/semi auto means only one Wild Die.

Attack #3: 1d8 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2

Max's round resume: 3 attacks resulting in 4, 2 and 2. But if the enemies are between 30 and 35 ft away I get a +2 to each from Cibernetic Eyes.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

May have something about my internet and redirectioning loops, because I'm having simmilar problems with my emails -mails marked as read even though I didn't-. As for the penalties, I don't copy you. Do you mean I can only fire once? As far as I know with this weapon I can fire up to 3 times per round with a -2 recoil penalty, but I'm not sure if I can combine it with 3RB because that may be a houserule from the Fallout game. If I can't, please do correct me and assume the attacks are at 4 and 2 without the Edge bonus

Crap! The campaign's dot disappeared...

Max can't help but whistle at's Zekke's performance, but doesn't lose much time as his arm shows the barrel again and he starts shooting at those in the windows "Hey! Aaron! Make a hole with the Humvee or something!"

"You! Dirty poor sandraiders, come to papa! C'mon! Shoot if you can distinguish between your gun and your feet!" yells the justice's cyborg, trying to catch the bandit's attention.

3RB Semi Auto #1: 1d8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 - 2 = 61d6 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 - 2 = 2
3RB Semi Auto #2: 1d8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 - 2 = 41d6 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 2 = 3
So 6 and 4. I don't think the second one will hit due to cover, but if they are between 30 and 35 ft away I have a +2 to hit 'cus Cibernetic Eyes.

Damage #1: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 = 6
Just in case... Damage # 2: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 4) + 2 = 12

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

And we could always help it with a few shots, be them bullets or psychic/rad ones. Remember the spanish saying: "With enough headbutts you can break the wall".

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"I guess nukin' it from afar would be evil... how about we give 'em the option to give up arms and walk away?" comments Max

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"I know nothing of tracking, but I am a beast with bikes so let's see, bub..." says Max as he dismounts Lucille to check the road.

Tracking: 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -11d6 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1

"Mmm... nope. I don't see a single s*$@, mate."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Getting ready to ride Lucille, Max turns to Nilus who's now riding the sidecar and tends him his helmet "I have a steel-hard head, you better be using it." as he revs up the engine the Justice Cyborg asks him "Have you ever shot one of these?" pointing at the mounted firearm "I saw you at the fight, you can handle yourself. But if you ever feel curious bud, just point and pray.... that beauty will handle the rest."

Ready to go!

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Having finished to fix the car, Max pops open a can of oil and gives it a long sip "Nothing better after a good job well done. You are good with this things, bub, thank you."

"If you all ready, I'll grab Lucille and we can depart. Anybody want to ride shotgun with me?"

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"I'd rather not have to deal with spirits at all anyway, so let's fix the beauty the ol'd good way."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

I will not be the one looking at you doing nothing... Cyborg powers ACTIVATE!

Robo Repair!: 1d6 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 2
Ace: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Well done, Cyborg powers!

"You are right Piero, but I think we can reroute the conversor through the flux matrix to save ourselves some spare turbopistons. Chips are overrated, anyway."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"On your left, old man. Pass me a wrench and let's see what does this Sweet Lady needs." says Max as he starts to work with the hispanic man on the humvee "By the way, name's Max. And I bet not a lot of people works with military nowadays."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Sorry! I've been busy like hell, I'll keep half the bullets and get the other half as money so I can buy juice, oil and such later on.

So that's 18$ worth of bullets and 18 bucks on my pocket

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"If you add two cans of Motor Oil, we have a deal" says Max trying his best to half-smile half-flirt.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

With the sight of the cross and Nilus mention of the templar's name Max finally remembers "Zeke! Zeke Fightmaster! Damn, how can I be so oblivious? Always a pleasure to fight by your side, and Nilus is right. If there are more of this scum we better hit them while they lack leadership. The HMMWV and a few bikes would really help if Mr. Glowy eyes and me can fix 'em."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Max walks up to Aaron and starts checking the HMMWV "Ey bud, mind if I help you fix it?"

Can we help each other? And what do we need to do in order to fix the beauty?

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"Hey Sheriff, before you leave! Whatcha 'bout the sweet rides? That Big H is calling me,and I wanna answer. But the law here maybe frowns upon "spoils of war"." says Max with a smile before turning to Zeke "Sir, I hafta apologize. I called you oldie, but now I know you are truly a warrior of justice... and I believe we met before, isn't it?"

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"But remember to surrender your guns, your ammo, your juice and your rides too. That will teach you a leason 'bout raidin', buds!"

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Same as Richie here, I screwed up my toughness, it actually is 7(1) but I actually got a wound because I got shaken after being shaken

Soak: 1d6 ⇒ 11d6 ⇒ 3
Let's benny this...
Soak 2 : 1d6 ⇒ 51d6 ⇒ 6
Ace: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Soaked!

Max, angry by the shot right in his lower belly, starts running taking distance from the rest but keeping it from the soon-to-be his new ride. He then takes aim for a second and then shoots at the turret idiot.
"Tell me, s$+%head! To clean your blood from my new car should I use spook juice or simply water?"

3RB Shooting: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 81d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
8. 10 if they are over 30 ft thanks to cibernetic eyes

Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (2, 7) + 6 = 15
If I get the raise: 1d6 ⇒ 3

24/30 rounds left before recharging

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Max stands right where he was as the rest dive for cover and yells "Welcome to town m+*$@%!@#@@!s, let me show you the place!" as he pulls his right thumb and his hand goes down, showing a barrell.

Using the mounted rifle to Double tap on one bike raider, preferably one over 30 ft or more

Shooting: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 = 101d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 2 = 6
Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
If raise: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Not my best opening shot ever.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Max starts heading outside. "With raiders you can only rest safe when you make sure there's nobody to recruit more of them, Pinky." he turns to the rest "If any of you wanna come, the time's now. Not like you have to or anything, but I won't stand here while they do their raider thingies"

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"Got no friends around except the ones to make, bud. And judging by Pinky's reaction we are going to get shot soon." Max draws his NA sidearm and checks the clip "Ain't a better way to make friends that fighting together, won't you agree?"

"Pinky, you know what's up. Tell us. And if anybody isn't armed, Lucille has a mounted rifle. I'd rather you waste my bullets than contribute nothing."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Max stops Lucille right in her tracks, removes his helmet and laughs. A heartly laugh. A long and kind one.

When he finishes laughing he claps Richard in the back "Richie, I didn't understand half of what you told me but I got the rythm. I thought your people tried to hide the fact that you were well, different. And I understand it... people fear what they can't understand. As for my war wounds, maybe one day I can show you. For now let's just say I have better reasons to lay low than you would."

He takes the helmet again and realizes "Before you mention it, I would have you know that attracting all the possible attention with your manners and possessions is a rather successful way to lay low."

Let's follow Jerry's directions.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

I wouldn't say so, not with his clothes and such. If you were another tinhead or knew one I guess it would be more obvious.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Then this has been awkward hahahahah

"It means that I oxidize as a wet screw under the sun. That I need some movement or I'll get stiff. Stiff and bored." answers Max while he starts Lucille, smiling in amusement at Richie's healthy curiosity. "So tell me, why do you wear those robes? I''ve seen a fair share of wasters that believe in strange cults and wear strange clothes... and yours seem one of them, bud. But I guess looks lie 'cus you seem like an a-grade fella."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

I was waiting for Richie to answer or post buuut... let's move things along

"Thank you, bud. Max then turns again towards the exit "Now Richie, let's roll out. Waiting time rust me."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Max gladly pays ten dollars to Jerry and heads outside with Jerry, but stops midway and asks the shopkeeper "Is there anywhere I could leave a bike without having to fight for its ownership afterwards?"

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Been busy with college, sorry mates

"I will need a can of motor oil, good quality if possible." he then turns back to Richie and says "Hey Richie, we can go to Pinky's later if you get no clue here. People tend to drink a lot these days, prolly Mrs. Harten been there."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Richie on the sidecar and you as package if the DM allows it even though dirt bikes have only 1 rider listed. Just because I wanna be a nice guy and it's strange to just left you there walking.

I just realised I forgot to add that Max was talking to Richie first and Nilus after

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"Jerry's first then the Lodge, it will." he then turns to Richie and smiles "Intention is what counts, Richard, and you seem interested in helping. Hop in the sidecar, just point me to where you go. It may be a bit tight, but if you wanna ride with me I'll go slow. Just fast enough so we can pick your friend before you lose him."

And as soon as they If Nilus accepts hop in, Max fires Lucille and enter town.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

My fault, Nilus. Zeke is disguised, but I assumed Nilus doesn't.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

Max nods his head towards the purple robed stranger "Kudos to you, stranger. Can you show me the way, I will bring you where you need in return. Name's Max Powers. What's yours? I'll appreciate the company, anyway I'll need more directions and guidance."

Before Richie can answers his attention turns towards Zeke and Nilus, even with Zeke disguised Nilus rings a bell in Max's memory... he just doesn't know which one.

"Ey bub, do I know you? I feel like I've met you before... but I can't place right where or when."

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

A cloud of dust wakes on the horizon as Lucille soars the road, her engine roaring.
Riding her is a helmeted figure, a humanoid silhouette with wide shoulders.

The bike stops as she nears Belknap's entrance and the engine comes to a halt.

"Where can I find motor oil?" the figure yells from his position.

Grand Lodge

Cyborg

"Max Powers is online. All systems nominal. Weapons hot. Mission: the destruction of any and all Evil Wastelander. "

Ehem... Here I am. Well, Max is a Cyborg bent of fixing things: from engines to injustice. So it's actually pretty probable that he and Zeke met before Belknap.

Also, as I said in the Recruitment thread, there's a vacancy for Lucille shotgun seat. If anybody is interested on pairing with Max I am all ears.
Remember that despite being undead and a cyborg, Max was an engineering student, so he has a sense of humour most of us probably can relate to. And he has a Rifle arm, and that's real cool.

P.S.- @Zeke: I love your last name. Man, Max Fightmaster is my hero.
