Hey folks, I was just curious if could use the previous class decks when I play 2nd edition. I really enjoy the class decks for some odd reason, so I'd really enjoy it I could use some of those decks. I'm also curious as to whether or not I should buy the last two first edition sets. Does anyone have any input on this? Finally, and I'm sure this one is the rules, how does one go about adding first edition cards to the second edition cards? Let me know if anything needs clarification. Thanks,
Hello folks,
I really want to run four characters, but it seems to be cluttered already. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I fix this? I'd like it to look somewhat decent.. I am currently running Ezren and Lini. I also have Sheelah in my party, but I am unsure about here. I am also lacking in deck and don't know who to pick (Merisiel, Harsk, or Sajan); are there better characters I should be using alongside Ezren and Lini? I will attach imagines bellow of my current "mess." file:///home/chronos/u-2331ec538826fd14b85634033bec85cb3c593568/MyFiles/Dow nloads/012408CD-8A58-407E-9651-7DF24D962287.jpeg Thanks,
EDIT: Apparently I can't upload images. Huh? EDIT2: I was dumb and fixed it. EDIT3: Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to hyperlink it, so you'll have to copy and past the link for my mess. EDIT4 (Because I'm dumb): This is for RotR P.S. I wouldn't mind running a three character party as long as it contains Lini and Ezren. So suggestions on a third member would be great.
Hey folks, So, I am almost finished with the RotR with Seelah, Lini, and Ezren, and I am now thinking about Skull and Shackles and potential parties. Well, I actually have two parties picked out already, but I don't know which one to use. The parties are Jirelle, Feyia, and Oloch or Jirelle, Feyia, and Damiel. I know, I know the two teams are wildly different. I just wasn't sure who'd complement Jirelle and Feyia better. I also don't want characters stepping on one another's toes and fighting for the same loot. So which of the two teams is better balanced? Oh, I forgot to mention I am keeping the party size at three. I found that three is the number that works best for me. Thanks a bunch, Grabnar P.S. It was really hard making a decision for a team of three. Damiel is one of my favorites due to his class being an Alchemist, and Oloch is one of my favorites as half-orcs are my favorite race to RP.
Hello folks, I am currently doing a solo run of PACG: RotR. I want to run three characcters. So far, I know I want to run Lini and Ezren in my party. I am stuck on who the third character should be. I don't know if I should run Seelah or Merisiel. With Seelah I have a tanky character that can dish out damage too. She also has the ability to heal if it is ever needed. Merisiel on the other hand makes it so that my entire party has a d8 or highter in all the skills. Her evade ability is also really helpful in certain situations, and she can absolutely destroy barries. Any help or advce you fine folks could offer would be great. Best regards,
So, I was just wondering what is the best way of adding random cards from the box. I'm not sure if it is possible for like a 6th scenario card to be pulled during scenario 1 or what. Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. On a similar note, when do I start removing the Basic and Character Add-on cards for the different scenario cards? Again, how do I determine what gets removed and what does not? Thanks everyone! You're always so helpful. Sincerely,
Hey everyone, So, I ran sort of a mini-run through of a scenario. I found out that I will need to run with two characters due to a lack of space. I find this kind of upsetting as I am worried that running two characters won't provide much of challenge/I won't "see" the entire game. Anyway, I've came up with a list of two character parties, and I would very much appreciate your input. Valeros and Lini
I guess I'm looking for the most balanced team, and a team that will provide a challenge while not making the game impossible. Thanks a bunch as always,
Hey everyone, So, I recently decided to join PACG's subscription. I picked the Core Set as my first product. I was discussing this on another forum and one of the members said "By default though, you’ll be getting (and be charged for) Core and Curse at the same time with the subscription." Does this mean that I'll be getting the Core Set and Curse of the Crimson Throne, or that I will just be charged for both items but only receive the one I picked? If I am going to be charged for both but only receive one, it sounds like I am being ripped off... Thanks,
Hey folks, I was wondering if you all could give me some suggestions for a two character team that would be able to make it through all of Skull and Shackles. I already have a list of three character teams and four character teams for my wife and me. I'm looking for a two character team to play by myself when my wife isn't able to play. XOXO, Grabnar
Hey everyone, I need a fighter for my group which so far consists of Ezren, Lini, and Merisiel. I was wondering which fighter would compliment the group the best either Seelah or Amiri. I guess could Sajan fill the role of the fighter? Let me know what you all think. Before Valeros is mentioned, I am saving him for my Valeros and Lem run through the game, so I'd prefer not to use him. Best wishes,
Hey everyone, I am finally going to have everything I need to start my physical run of the game. Well, I'll still need to get some sleeves for my cards if you have an suggestions, please, feel free to share them. I am only familiar with Ultra Pro. Anyway, I have a few questions I was hoping you'd be able to answer for me. I plan on starting out with four characters: Lini, Ezren, Merisiel, and a fighter. My question is which fighter would best compliment the three other characters? Should I pick Valeros, Seelah, Amiri, or Sajan (more on him later). I am trying to hit that sweet spot everyone talks about being 3 to 4 characters, so I figured I would start "high" and kill one off if need be. That leads me to the next question, who would then been considered the least important? I know you can't get make a Finally, what the hell is Sajan's role? Can someone break him down for me? I've played ever character on the mobile app, but for the life of me I can't figure out what he is all about. So, I would greatly appreciate it if someone explained Sajan to me in the most simplist of ways. I guess that's all I have for now. I've been in the hospital for 2.5 weeks. Hopefully, I get out tomorrow and can begin set up. Oh and don't forget card sleeve recommendations. Thanks,
Hey everyone, I was wondering if you all could share a picture of what your set up looks like while playing PACG. I think it'd really reduce my anxiety and finally allow me to start playing the game. I'm looking to run parties of 3 to 4 specifically, but I'd love to see the set up for larger parties as well. I know this is a weird request, but I just need to know how to properly setup everything and avoid chaos and confusion. Thanks, Grubbnar
Hey everyone, I finished RotR, and I am now on my way to start SnS. Again I don't know if I'll be running 3 or 4 characters. My team of three consists of: Oloch, Jirelle, and Damiel. Is this a good party of three or does something need to be changed? Is this party even balanced? Maybe I'm blinded because I am really happy that there is a half orc as they are my favorite race, and I also like the alchemist because of bombs and potions that make you grow a tentacle or something. Anyway, if I decide to run a fourth member I have no idea who it should be. I thought Alahazra looked pretty nifty. Can't stand Lem so he is automatically out. I'm just not sure who would complement the other three. Especially if my group of three isn't balanced. If you would be so kind for you share your 3 character or 4 character parties with me just so I know what to be looking for in order to make a balanced party. It honestly would mean a lot to a guy like me. Thanks,
P.S.
For my final question: can I get the pro's and con's of a 3 character party vs. a 4 character party?

It'd be really nice of you all if you could show me your parties that consist of either 3 or 4 characters. That way I know what a well balanced party looks like. I appreciate you taking the time to read this even if you don't post. Thanks, Grubbnar P.S.
For my final question: can I get the pro's and con's of a 3 character party vs. a 4 character party?
It's happened as far back as I can remember everything would have to be put in a certainorder, or it wouldn't feel right and bother me all. The symptoms eventually got worse, and I was eventually diagnosed with OCD. Sooo that's just some backstory you may need for this post. For those of you that have made it this far I am extremely appreciative. I suppose to get things off what is.I need some help creating a well balance party for RotR and SnS. For RotR I definitely want to use Lenni, and I really want to use Dam and Oloch for SnS. I like to keep my parties as balanced as can be. I also prefer to run three or four characters. I like it so that my team can use any card that they come across. So, I guess for straters will go with my RotR team. I had Val, Lini, Ezren, started out with Harsk but eventually switched to Meri. I presume this party is pretty balance? Thats a serious question and not rhetorical one. Should I keep the hard copy same as my digital game? I"m also worried about that four characters may not be big enough for the table I am using. I'd hate to ask you all this, but could you all provide balanced four and three character teams? Next comes SnS. Hell, I may as well start things off with some
As I stated earlier I really want to use Dam and Oloch. Unfortunately even after reading their cards I am still a little lost. So if I could get clarifiation on what each character in SnS does that might make this hospital stay worth it. One or two complimentary cards may be useful too (again not quite sure on the dimentions of the table. I know you probably won't be able to answer here, but do any of you have a set up showing off what it looks like when only person is playing, so I get canan idea of how much room is neededt. One last thing, how much content would I be losing out on if I only played 3 to 4 characters. Well, I think that is it. If someone could help me with all of this nonsense running through my mind that would great. I'm also on pretty strong pain meds in the hospital, so I apologize if this post isn't that coherrent. XOXO
Does anyone happen to have an image of a game being set out for one person. Apparently my board games are too nerdy for my wife. I know that the rulle book has a wheel like formation which will make roling and reaching harder. Dependent upon the look and layout it will determine how many characters I can run with. Please, feel free to move this post if it is not in the right area. Thanks,
I know this question has been asked a thousand times, but I am currently in the hospital and board out of my mind, and please any spelling/grammatical errors I may caused. I've just beaten Rise of the Runelords with Ezren, Valeros, Lini, and Merisiel. I'm now going to starting Skull and Schackles. My question is, and /sarcasm I am sure it has never been asked before; should I play with three or four characters? People tend to say it comes down to differences which I'm sure it does but there must be some "hard evidence" suggesting what size a solo group plays. I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this matter, like what the average party size would be? The biggest difference between playing 3 and 4 characters. I notice is that if you have a 3 character team, each member gets to go twice. However if you have a four person team, you could explore faster. Then there is the whole bit on missing out on certain enemmies, locations, items, weapons, etc. I've heard that mentioned several times. Sorry... I went on a bit of a tangent there. I'm also worried that having four characters would make my gaming table too cluttered. So.. umm... yeah, that was it. I really do hope that someone wil help me or a friendly argument could happen. Lastly are the primary stats stil Str, Dex, Wis, Int, or is ther more focus on I guess what would be the primary stat. Cheers,

Hello everyone, I've finally completed my solo run of RotR. I've just picked up S&S along with all the extras, and I am ready to get started. However, I am having issues picking a well rounded party. I like to run three characters. I find four to be too overwhelming at time and anything less than three can make things difficult. Anyway, I know two of the characters I'd like to use: Damiel and Oloch. I'm not too sure who else I should add to the group. I'm kind of against Valeros this time as I find his roles a bit boring; the whole pirate them in general is kind of unappealing to me, but I am hopeful. I also don't care for Lem. So, any help, advice, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Grabnar P.S.
The set team members are: Lini and Valeros. Where I am having issues is with my dex and caster characters. I’m fine with Harsk or Meriesel (heck, maybe even Sajan.) For my caster I am stuck between Seoni and Ezren. Any help or advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
P..S.
Hey, I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong spot. Please, feel free to move it if it is. Anyway, I just purchased PACG for my iPhone, and I love it; I do have the physical copy aswell, but I don't have anywhere to play it in my small apartment. I have a couple of questions I was hoping you'd be able to help me with. 1. What is a decent party setup? Yes, I know this question has been asked a thousand times. I however don't like splitting up my party and would like advice on creating a party that does really well by sticking together. Up until now, I've been using Valeros, Lini, and Seoni. I experimented with Ezren in Seoni's spot, but I found his lack of blessings too much of a hinderance. I think 3 is the right amount of characters for me, but if you have a suggestion for a dex/ranged character I'd appreciate it. Valeros has been filling that role for now. 2. If I were to forego my 3-4 team what would be a good 2 party option? I just don't know how to properly balance a team that small. 3. And finally, how should I build/play Tup? I was so excited when I saw that he was included, but I have no idea how to build him especially since one of his powers requires you to banish a card. Thanks,
