"Hey, that wasn't bad at all" says Kyamba, all wrapped up in winter clothes, after Fizz's first teleport attempt. "Oh..." is all he cna manage once he realizes that they hadn't actually gone anywhere. "Well, I guess we can-" but that's all he can manage before the gnome casts the spell again.

Once in the forest the first thing the Chef does is stumble into the underbrush for a nice fit of dry heaving. He reemerges a minute later to wearily follow the dwarven warrior deeper into the trees.

"Now this is the kind of world saving that I can get behind!" laughs Kyamba when they stumble upon the taverns merriment. Without hesitation he wades into the crowd towards the stage. If there was anyone being drunk under the table then he wanted to be a part of it. Meanwhile Rika, still maintaining a more mundane human appearance, has moved to one of the empty tables and taken a seat, inviting the rest of the group to join her.

Kyamba chose to hang around the mountain shrine, most of his immediate resources were invested in the large parchment he now carried that held Ezren's circle of teleportation.

When the call from the Oracle came and the others started to gather, Kyamba's first move was to check all of his available references for information on Linnorms:

Sure, but I'm sure we can find some kind of happy middle-ground between the two. What if we recieved some low amount of "resources" (like 20k gp) per boss monster on the grounds that we report what we buy? Or you can put a cap on the cost of any single item?

It's cooking mama time!

Scratching his chin in thought, Kyamba answers "I do have one recipe that is suitable for this occasion. The Colossal Clambake of Culinary Consummation. I'll get it started right away!" he finishes with excitement. He quickly follows an attendant to the kitchen area with Rika in tow.

Once there he finds the largest pot possible, a colossal cauldron of black iron. He builds a roaring fire using the newly acquired wood from the body of the Sard and then puts the pot on to heat. In the meantime he goes about collecting and preparing ingredients: onions, potatoes, leeks, corn cobs, garlic, thyme, orange and lemon, and celery made up the fruits and veggies, augmented with the more exotic spices that he found in the Fey forest. While he sets the onions sauteing in the pot with some of the temples sanctified oils, he goes to finds his meats. From the pantry he takes a fine spiced sausage mixed with both beef and pork, clams, muscles, lobsters, and shrimp. Those were good and all, but nothing that would make this dish truly memorable. The Master Chef will need some help.

From the hustle and bustle of the kitchen Rika emerges with a message from Kyamba: "Master was wondering if any of you would like to assist with today's meal. He says he'd like to use the meat from a Sea Serpent of some sort, apparently something about their diet makes their meat incredibly supple. He is also looking for fine white wine, and a lot of it."

Then the Simulacrum gets a little withdrawn: "And if someone wants to help with the prepwork I'd really appreciate it. When he gets in these moods it's really bothersome. He's basically exhausted the pantry of all it's seafood and spices, but I'm the one who has to actually prepare them." she says with an exhausted sigh.

Taking 20 on my Craft (Cook) for a total of 49. Once I see what ingredients and stuff the others can help out with I'll finish the dish.

Unimpressed with Fizzwiddle's grand entrance, Kyamba speaks up a moment later. "Though, more to the point, we are here to find out the meaning behind this:" and he pulls out the card that they had all received at the onset of this journey.

Going over to the Sard Kyamba has a beaming smile on his face. The weather was improving, the tree was dead, things were starting to look up! He immediately occupies himself with the corpse of the Fey, looking for something to use in future recipes. Unfortunately, largely because trees lack "meat", he is only able to collect a vial of sap and some logs - maybe the wood would add some flavor to a roast?

"That wizard from earlier made it seem like there was more. We should go back to him, see if he wants to let us in on this whole thing" he says while working, no longer having to shout to be heard over the storm.

Again the sard escapes Kyamba's grasp. He sighs and lowers his blade, looking around for some bark or sap that he can collect so that they can cast the scrying spell once again. His wings curl back up into his back and he floats gently back to the ground, destitute.

Unlike his previous encounter Kyamba is dead serious right now. He knows that he hast to focus. If they mess up right now then the Sard would have the chance to escape and they'd have to track it down again. He lets his wings go free and shoots up into the tree after the Sard:

We only need to wait like two hours so that Mortimer can prepare new spells. Rika needs to roll an 18 to beat the Sard's spell resistance, I don't like those odds for burning our 1 free wish.

I agree with Groff. We should keep an eye out if it tries to do something dangerous while Mortimer prepares Scry.
