Maldoc steps back and casts Empowered Fireball, positioning it to the south so that it will hit the two undead creatures he was fighting! I don't know how tall the area marked "4" is on the map, but if I can also catch the big guy in the blast by raising up the epicenter of the spell I'll do that.

Yes, you do weapon and spell damage with the "touch" attack, though it is vs AC. The weapon is a Black Blade and is a +3 equivalent I believe.

If I can still target, Maldoc will cast Fireball, centered on the two to the right of the party but still catching the tree in the blast with the idea of setting it on fire to act like a torch as a source of light.

When I was playing online poker the answer would have been "No! Leave me be, woman!" but I didn't have a daughter. :)

In all seriousness I do have a son but I learned way back when that you do need to find a balance. When you do it enhances all of the activities involved. I'm glad I learned that one early on.

Now things are different. Some of you may have been GMing games in the summer so you would know that my wife passed away so I've lost that. The kid is 20 now but he still lives with me so we make time to do stuff, but for the most part I'm pretty free with my online presence nowadays.

In other words, you just don't know how much time you have left until its taken away. Do it while you can.

Maldoc comes down before his ability to fly ends. He then grabs his wand for healing unless other options are used or present themselves, I just don't want to forget.
