I brought PDF copies of my Kingmaker paper miniatures and Kingmaker Book 1 to a Staples for printing and was refused due to copyright issues. The employee told me that I am eligible to print the documents out but they are unable. Years ago I had several copies of Skull & Shackles paper miniatures printed out at a FedEx / Kinko's location and there were zero issues. Is someone able to clarify for me whether or not this should have been possible to do? Both electronic files are "signed" with my name digitally and I have proper photo id. Thank you.
I'm going to be working up a new Wrath of the Righteous character to replace my Samsaran Bloodrager who died last night. She has been reincarnated with the memories of her very first life ... as an Alchemist (Preservationist). Was wondering if anyone knows of any Summon Nature's Ally tables that have been worked up with a Tian Xia flavor or what might be some good creatures to replace in the existing table. Thanks in advance and sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong location.
I think I've missed too many things about the class I'm enjoying playing right now. So I've hit 4th level and have access to 1st level spells now, but no access to Detect Magic? And Hero Lab is showing my spells as Caster Level 1 but everything else seems to indicate that I should be Caster Level 4.
Our campaign is currently 12 months into our build cycle and one of my players has been discussing building a black market outside of the normal kingdom build cycle. He wants to operate it alongside his thieves guild which we built using the downtime rules from Ultimate Campaign. We were discussing "magic item economy" when we suddenly noticed the huge discrepancy between the 50 BP it costs for a kingdom to build a black market versus the 2,200 GP earned capital it costs for a character to build it on their own. There's no way a character-built black market generates 3 minor, 1 medium, and 1 major magic item ... right?!
Just curious how others have done this. My players are into 7th level and we've about finished book two. Yes, I've thrown a lot of extra stuff at them since we're not necessarily sure if we're going to stick with the AP as-written or just kind of open things up. But anyway ... I was wondering how other GMs have leveled up some of the NPCs who were included in book one. If the players have progressed to 7, how many levels of expert should I give to Oleg and what about Kesten? Plus I'm going to be introducing one of the Swordlords as an on-the-scene NPC for the one year anniversary of the kingdom. Suggestions?
I know there are some amazingly talented people in the Pathfinder fanbase and incredible websites out there. But does anyone know if someone has created a spreadsheet or something where you chose the item you want, the materials / bonuses / etc, plus your Craft roll and BOOM ... cost and length of time to prepare. Anyone know of anything amazing like this?
I'm sorry if this has already been answered dozens of times but I couldn't find it. My barbarian as a +1 Greatsword and I'd like to see about getting that bumped up to +2. This weapon already cost her 2,350 gp (bonus squared x 2,000 + masterwork). So my question is, would it cost 8,000 gp to have it enhanced further to +2 or is there a discount since the weapon is already magical?
We started book two last night and the nascent rulers chose to found their first city in the shadow of the Old Sycamore tree. I had a hard time covering my laughter with a cough because after months of sessions ... and well, months of in-game time as well ... both players and characters had all forgotten that there was a certain Giant Something Something still living down in the caves below the tree. Now I know what my players were thinking. They're going to build their city at the base of the hill and then create themselves a little private dungeon under whatever they intended to build next to the tree. (Plus it's close to both mines.) The characters were settling into their tents after a night of sitting around a bonfire and meeting some of their initial pioneers when the screaming started. And then, then they remembered what had been forgotten. So, where have been some of the odd places kingdoms have been started?
So I'm wondering if I've made a mistake. Here's the situation ... I started out with a Barbarian 4, Sorcerer 1 and took a level of Dragon Disciple when I leveled up. Will I get two attacks per round when I take the next level of Dragon Disciple? Or have I somehow messed up the progression of the character. Thanks in advance!
Getting ready to start Skull & Shackles soon using the Pathfinder Paper Miniatures. I'm really wanting to impress the players and come to the game with the best look possible for the paper minis. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking heading to Kinko's to have the printing done high quality color and on nice heavy paper. Advice?
The insane alchemist in the game I'm GMing has managed to convince a mite to join him as an apprentice. (Don't worry, it will probably backfire spectacularly.) Anyway, he'd like to build a small shack next to Oleg's. How long would you all estimate it would take to build a very simple 10x15 shack? He's already come up with a great Craft Carpentry roll of 26. I was thinking about a week. The party has already acquired building tools and there's lumber and logs being brought in to the trading post. He's not looking for anything fancy, just someplace to perform SCIENCE and keep the mite away from the prying eyes of Oleg and Keston.
I'll be prepping to start running Skull & Shackles over the next few weeks. GMs, if you could go back and change something about how you prepped or what you did during the first session, what would it be? I've been reading some of the suggestions in here and one of the things I plan on doing is making individual cards for all of the pirate NPCs the party will be coming into contact with aboard the Wormwood. I'll be using the paper miniatures for the campaign so I'll likely include the NPC art on the back of the index card so the players will have a larger version of the person they're dealing with too.
My goblin is going to be setting out to mix up his first batch of poison and I'm looking for an appropriate thrown weapon for a goblin. I don't want to just coat his dogslicer, I'm trying to think of something he won't care about losing but is goblin-specific. Vicious caltrops? An item cobbled together from nails? For RP-sake: The goblin is currently living on a boat in the docks of Absalom, random bits and pieces of stuff shouldn't be hard to find. Plus the party has been doing repair work on the boat.
So my alchemist and company just found themselves a place to call their own and set up a base of operations. One of the first things I want to set about doing is brewing some Alchemist Fire. 1) Am I able to still adventure during the day and then set some time aside during the evening or morning to work on this? 2) Based on my understanding of the way the DC checks work, a successful check would result in 400 sp worth of crafting success. Does this result in a double-batch?
My Wizard recently hit 5th level and I'm currently eyeing Eldritch Knight. If at 23,000 XP (6th level) I take Fighter level 1 ... do I then have to wait an additional 12,000 XP before I can take another level of Fighter or switch over to the Prestige Class? Or can I level up to Fighter level 2 once I've accumulated 2,000 XP? I'm pretty sure I know the answer is 13,000 (unfortunately) but I just wanted to double-check.
I noticed in the Hero's Handbook that Wizard's specializing in Evocation get a bonus Scorching Ray (at 3rd level) and Fireball (at 5th level) according to the Wizard description. Any chance this is a rule that should actually carry over into the Core Rule Book?!? I'd love to bring this one up to my GM.
Our GM has been taking us through the Price of Immortality modules and we just finished up the "Masks of the Living God". I joined mid-campaign so I have no idea at what point in the first two modules I got in on the action. Anyway, as part of a character backstory for a homebrewed campaign I'm now running one of my players made reference to the Woodcutters' Guild. So I've got a non-spoilery question. Do the Woodcutters play a part in the bigger picture outside of the Price of Immortality trilogy? If not, I'm going to basically just turn them into a sort of mafia type organization.
I've just recently noticed that my GM had given me Proficiencies in Spells (Ray) and Spells (Touch) when I joined the campaign at Level 3. Does this give me any kind of bonus? I can't find anything online. My character was originally supposed to be a Conjurer but we changed him around to Evocation after he became more of a combat Wizard. Now I'm wondering I should be getting some kind of ranged touch attack bonus with Scorching Ray, et al. Thanks! |
