Kruss helps Fiona dig as Sandy keeps a watch out with his hawk companion. However Kruss makes sure to keep away from Fiona, just in case.

"So shall we head to the mountains? Do we want to cover up the obelisk? It was obviously destroyed - so I think there could be a reason. Maybe there's some markings upon it. Dwarven runes."

Sandy gets ready to walk away, cleaning off the paws of the lion.

"Aye, I'm just a stupid yokel, good to have you bright people around. Though I've gotten a bit of a sense of direction." Sandy says plainly rubbing the back of Kruss' neck.

After saying this, Sandy focuses - fragmented memories hit him of his parents, barely remembered and a small caravan. The scream of orcs on a dark night like this, followed by screams that he'd never heard before - that of his family mingled with his own cries of loss.

For a moment these unbidden memories nearly make him forget whats happening, then they drive him on into the hills.

So does both ends of the track go into the hole? Or is it possible to follow it back into the mountain? Does the hole look like worked stone - or just a sink hole?

If it's just a sink hole we should probably look around for any other rails. Whereas if it's purposeful then we could tie off a rope and explore.

Placing a hand upon Merlans side he heals the brave man. Hakkar takes to the air and surveys the scene.
