OK, having no practical experience in the matter, I apprecaite the context.
MFW you didn't want the DM to do your homework for you, but he just made sure you got a C- on the exam and will be eligible to play in the Big Game... "Thank you..." :D OK, realisitically, DIY scrolling is off the table for me, right? I'd have to get Crafting up to Expert, and then take the Magical Crafting feat. Doesn't look doable without forgoing getting other skills to Master.
Just high-level review of spell selection, really, including the idea of any spells I might want to "offload" to scrolls. Lukas is my first 2e caster (and just my second character, period), so I just want to make sure I'm getting my slots' worth.
I find myself wondering, if I post looking for advice only on spell selection, how many replies I get that will: 1) Actually answer the question that was asked.
"That'll be a relief," Lukas says as he shrinks back to his normal stature. Gesturing to the door, he asks, "Frizz, can you please do the honors...?"

GM, can Lukas have used his Shield Block reaction there? The shield and I each take 1 damage then if I read it right. As for Perfire, guys, my first thought he moves into the room and uses Acid Arrow?
None! The Garden State Parkway is like 20 miles from here, my eyes aren't that good! :P

Outraged, Lukas yells, "Hey! No one hurts Frizz except with clumsily worded outrage. Like me! Or maybe the raccoon!" He strides into the room, letting Iomedae's might suffuse him to the point if making his body larger.
Lukas follows after Frizz, his face a mixture of horror and puzzlement. "Wait, what's a vacuum!?!?!"
Feeling like he'd just kicked a puppy, Lukas follows Frizz, more than a little ashamed of himself.
"If you think we can decipher how to get that to work, then sure, I'm in favor of finding a back way in. Just don't call me 'Luke' again!" Lukas says with raised eyebrow.
Lukas has no problems with the plan as such, but bristles at having been called "Luke" to the point of glaring at Frizz. "What do we think," he says, with a slightly icy tone. "Can we tackle two more robits?"

Fair. I got as much as you said, and the rest, it's entirely possible I'm overthinking this. But, looking at the map, there's an unexplored area due east of Perfire's location on the map. Am I crazy or is that section accessed by the SW turnstile being open to W & N?
Lukas nods at Jharun. "Yes, that all makes sense. I'll bet it's some combination of those damnable levers!"
"Okay, we saw the Spire, so we've basically looped all the way around this floor, right? Let's look around a bit more, see if we can find Jharun's gear, and spellbook, and come back to the robits when we're more prepared."
"Well, Frizz, you already found a bath. Find us a stocked pantry and I'd say you've earned your keep," Lukas quips.
Lukas smiles at Frizz walking around dragging her robe, then turns to Jharun. "What exactly are we looking for, when it comes to your equipment? Anything easily identifiable we should look out for?"
Lukas winces at the racket. "A little louder please, Frizz? Aroden didn't hear you that last time." He turns to Jharun. "Please tell me there was no one waiting for you in the next room over...?"
Oh hell yeah. For Thanksgiving I always make this spinach pie recipe of my grandma's. It's basically eggs spinach and cheese, and sits in the pan like a cinder block, and it's awesome. I deviated from the original recipe this year and my sister was expecting bolts from the blue or some kind of Poltergeist-type disapproval from beyond. Luckily I don't have an Anathema as a class feature. ;)
Lukas nods at the elf, "My name is Lukas Vanivek. Soon as you can get up and get moving, we'll get you out of here." He suppresses the urge to ask him about the journal pages of Sister Ursula's. Inheritor willing, there'll be time for that later. Nodding down to the raccoon, Lukas asks, "Apart from her, is there anything else of yours down here we have to retrieve?"
As far as live sessions go, I have a single game that meets every other Tuesday night. Beyond that, I think time management would kill me unless I managed to like, split into multiple bodies like Jamie Madrox.
Well I'll tell you what, you do any more 2e games here, LMK. I'm eager to try a million different things in PF2. Okay fine, most of them are just variants of "stab the bad guy in the face," but even that has so many choices!
FYI, I'm looking for 1-2 players for my online "home" game of Age of Ashes Online. Sounds cool but I can't commit that much time at a pop. (Plus, I'm trying to limit how many times I enter an AP in the middle.)
for the previously mentioned check Lukas takes a moment, and finally realizes just how badly the animal and its master are faring. Nodding at the door to the cell, Lukas says, "Frizz, please do something about this?" Then, against his better judgment, he picks up the raccoon. "Let me see what I can do for you, then we'll see to your master..."
Alarmed by the raccoon's reply, Lukas frowns. "Another robit? OK miss, don't worry, we'll get you two out of here." Lukas stands ready to back Wymond's play at the door, not even thinking it odd he just addressed a raccoon as "Miss."
Lukas turns to the raccoon. "Priscilla, is he alone in there? Anything else to worry about?"
Lukas eyes up the raccoon suspiciously. "Rebecca, the last wizard we met down here was a real jerk. I hope your master isn't like Klarkosh or all of us are about to have a really bad day," he says crossly. To no one in particular, Lukas quietly mutters, "And now I'm arguing with raccoons. Sister Ursula said there'd be days like this, but still...!"
Lukas looks very concerned. "I was never fond of cats. My aunt Joanna had a most ill-tempered one," he suppresses a shudder at the memory.
Seeing as no one is screaming at him to not do so, Lukas picks up the mace and tries to figure it out.
Lukas eyes up the mace, then turns back to his companions. "You think it's safe?" He asks as he tentatively gestures toward it.
"So on top of everything ese, he was also a vain little jerk," Lukas huffs. He walks around the room, examining the various items (just looking, no picking up!), seeing if any of them have any sort of placards of descriptors on them.
Lukas suppresses a wince as Frizz gives the doors her biggest shove.
Lukas stands perplexed for a moment. I swear, I took my eyes off the woman for ONE moment... He panics a bit when he hears the exciteent in her voice. "Frizz, no wait, don't pull anything yet!" He shoots Wymond a quick glance, urging him to catch up.
"Oh, so sorry to have kept you from that, Frizz," Lukas says dryly, as he moves to cover the woman's work should it become necessary.
Lukas eyes Frizz enviously. "The library in my parents' home had little of such matters. Much on the terrors of the Whispering Tyrant, and the orcs over the border in Belkzen, though. Sounds interesting. Do we think we can handle another room?" He gestures at the door.
In my kids' bedtime stories when they were younger, Snow White used to go on wacky races and contests against the Wicked Queen, who was constantly being hampered by her three doofus henchmen, three animated brooms (Broom-Bot, Broomby, and Broombo). So no, it's hardly a stretch for me to imagine that.
Poking the beast's plating with the tip of his sword, Lukas says, "I can't help but think it'd hurt a whole lot to get that on. Speaking of, how's everyone doing, need a bit of help?"
