Ludvic will scratch behind his head as they continue the conversation.
"Now Neelia I was raised in a coven so I am not too educated in matters of the flesh. I do however, understand supply and demand. You need men to continue the flock right? And men... Well, men have certain needs as well. There are establishments that will often cater to that as well. Have you ever attempted just cleaning up a bit and offering men the chance to mingle with the woman? I expect you would find more success using honey than vinegar in getting what you want. As for battle, I have already switched them the last time we headed off in expectation of this attack."

"They are right. Very low chance of us getting over. Do you think you can throw over a rope, or see if their are any creatures over their? We may be able to set up a way if it's just to collect the treasure."
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
"While I do not approve of the birds apparent glee for murder, I do agree that should not threaten it. If that is all it knows, then let us take any treasure by right of explorers and leave it to it's own devices... Also I'm thinking it's not a bird if it's live so long as well."

Ludvic will rub at the cut her got, but for now it seems to have stopped bleeding. "You know you could have just asked us to sit down. Did not need to force me into it."
For now he will remain sitting for the chance to gain some information.

“Hey you are right, I am pretty tired after getting that door open. Thanks for the invitation!”
Ludvic will enter the room to sit down in the closest chair.

He stretches a bit as the holy light helps to close his wounds.
”Nothing a good nights sleep didn’t take care of. I’ll lead the way into the next section of the place. Any one need to take care of something before we head inside? Faster we get out of here the faster I can get a real nights sleep in a bed.”
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
I would appreciate a bit of treatment as well. I’m not capable of any magic and some of these bruises feel deep.”

”Well I supposed nothing ventured nothing gained.”
He will reach out and yank on the lever.

Ludvic will take the hit with a grunt.
"Springy little fellow. That is going to leave a nasty bruise. Now let us see what was in here with it."

Ludvic will move up to take position at the front of the hallway, ready to stab at the cloud if it advances on the group.
"Stay behind me. I will be your shield!"

Ludvic had gone rather pale when the spirits had shown up, but visibly relaxed once they had been put to peace.
"First time meeting the spirits of the dead. Can't imagine what it must have been like to be stuck in that cell for 200 years. Lets just hope most are friendly. Can't fight something we can't touch."
Once it is pointed out Ludvic will move forward to open the secret door.
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
"I say we go through the secret door first! I have never been let down by that yet!"
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Ludvic will jump, letting out a slight gasp as the skeleton falls out.
"Gods! I hate stuff like that!"
After regaining his nerve he will volunteer to open the door, weapon at the ready.

Ludvic will shiver when he see's the iron maiden before getting a morbid idea. "D-Do you think some one is still inside of it?"
His curiosity getting the better of him, he will attempt to open the thing.
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Ludvic rolls his shoulders as the golden light begins to seal and stitch his wounds together.

At which point he will utter flub his stab, tripping on one of the loose rocks as makes his stab.

"I like being able to afford things!"
Ludvic will shout as he reaches the top thanks to the rope. Rubbing his hands together, he will take a 10 to help assist anyone who tries and moves the beam from on top of the hatch.
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Ludvic will wait for some one to attach a rope to anything sturdy for him to climb up. He is not confident in his own abilities.
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Ludvic will start walking the perimeter of the building, trying to see if there is anything spilled out on the ground or on the ground floor of the building before he risks climbing up it.
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Ludvic will do a quick glance over to the rest of the party before nodding.
”We are some guards who were accompanying a caravan through town. Recently out for hire! I can’t help but notice you may need some bodies to investigate inside. We would be happy to take on the job with the guards blessing.”
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Jumping to his feet, he will grab his gear and set out.
"People are going to need help. Talia, see if you can get some water ready for anyone who is hurt!"
With that, he will rush out the door towards the smoke plume.

Ludvic will be happily sipping at his drink when the room his shaken. "Oh my, that storm blew in rather quickly didn't it? Should we get all the windows closed?"
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Ludvic scratches the back of his head as everything goes down.
"Man, this is a bit of bad luck. Very kind of you to let us stay as well. Let me know if their is anything I can do to help around the inn."
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Upon seeing the commotion he will quicken his pace until he is near enough the guards to speak. Holding up his arms, he will show that he currently is not holding the weapon strung to his back.
"Good evening officers. I am sorry to bother you but this is our employer. May I ask what is going on?
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
Ludvick had been humming a tune as he tended to his armor when he spotted the others debating on heading to the inn. He quickly grabbed his weapon to follow along.
"Hey, mind if I join you? Always nice to join in a little bar song if they are enjoying themselves!"

Also with my build, I can turn off my reach weapon as a move to threaten things around me.

Hello! Excited to play with you all.
I’m here to. Swashbuckler going into paladin.
I am going to throw Ludvic in for the running. He is a swashbuckler who will be moving into paladin as we progress.

"Are we positive that Karzoug is the most powerful? I mean, Tar Baphon has killed a demigod. He is at least on the level of creatures like the demon lords. This may sound in poor taste but I was going to suggest teaming up with the runelord of greed to gain a army against the world wound. There is not much for him to claim if the demons burn it all down after all."

Morlt would have been roaming through the dirt when he felt it tremble, carrying a voice through it like one giant tuning fork. Stopping dead for a split second, his head would suddenly pull a one eighty towards the voice. He would smack against something though, a force keeping him from entering the area. It was odd, he could have swore such a thing had not been present only a few moments ago. Never the less he would at least provide a answer, unsure if what ever it was could hear him at this point. "You may refer to me as Morlt. Though I rather enjoy the title of the Consumptive Creator as well."
Unable to enter the area of the deity who called out to him, he would once again begin his search, breaking through to the surface now that he was satisfied something seemed to have domain of the ground.
HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
For the Arisen the idea behind them is that to exist they must gather wealth and power. The longer they go with out trying to pursue their greed they will begin to loose intelligence and motivation until they eventually fall back to the earth dead. All the undead I create will have to feed their animation in a special way like that or risk falling dead, losing their intelligence, or even being paralyzed in a unmoving body for all eternity.

HP (12) AC (17/13/14) CMD (15) Saves (1/6/0) Initiative (+4) Panache 2/2
The first thing he felt before all else was want. A gnawing need for need itself. This feeling was what caused him to claw his way out from the grave dirt that was his womb. When his hand broke free and tore the rest of his body out from the moist earth he realized what he was. Morlt stood alone in the empty graveyard as he began to test out his limbs. Wandering over to a puddle, he would behold himself for the first time. A pure white skull looked back at him, the black onyx eyes dark at first before a dull orange light sprang up in the middle of them. Resting on his skull was a large golden crown adorned with gems and precious metals. His teeth were a bright platinum, and a liquid silver tongue slithered out to run across his teeth before it vanished back into his skull. Imprinted into his sternum were veins of gold running along his ribs in intricate filigree. Wrapped and left hanging from his empty rib cage were a variety of chains of gold, silver and other ores. With every movement of his fingers large rings would jingle along his bony digits, curiously never falling off the loose ossein. He would flick the chains of platinum that were bolted into his collar bones, the hardy metal connecting to his crown. With a wave of his hand the dirt would fall off his body before silks suddenly superimposed themselves over his form. Lush purple and blacks adorned him as his eyes began to scan the area, each of his orange pupils looking independent of one another. "Yes. I understand. I want. I am want. First, I want wealth." His voice was spoken as a whisper, but clearly reached the ears of all who would listen.
Spend 1 ap to create the concept of wealth.
"Very good. Something to work towards. That is what you need don't you all? All cut short before your needs could be fulfilled. I am here for you now my children. Allow me to direct these wants of yours. Now take back your existence. Show me the depths of the voracity you have for life!" With that he would bury his hands back into the ground and focus his own greed into the bones and lost vestiges of souls of the dead.
He will spend 5 ap to pick up the herald of life.
Next he will spend 2 ap to create greater life. The Avaricious Arisen
Finally he will spend 1 ap to grant them a society of their own. He will also sepend 3 ap to grant them immunity to the effects of ageing. This leaves him with 3 ap left.
The ground would pulse with a dark purple glow before everything went still. A few moments later the ground began to shake as hands tore from below. Corpses would begin to claw free of the ground, not only here but every where that a body lied. All souls were welcome to the call to take back the life that had been stolen away. As these people began to gather themselves they would find their bodies had not been restored. Some how they existed with rotted bodies, heavy wounds, and unbeating hearts. The only major change to the arisen were their faces. Golden masks had been fused onto everyone's faces. A closer inspection would find that it had become part of the these people's body. "Wonderful. You all are beautiful. You did not allow something as pedestrian as death to keep you from your want. Your desires will fuel your new existence. This is a warning to all of my creations. You must never forget this need that is your core. Gather power, wealth, slaves, anything that fills that craving. That is your food, your water, your very air. You must amass. If you do not then you are unworthy of this gift. You will feel it as you slack. The animation that fuels your body will wain if you do not take. Never forget. To exist is to take. Now, show me what you are capable of. I will be watching. I will return, and usher in new brothers and sisters as I learn more of these desires that makes your flesh so very appealing. Until then~" His voice would carry to every newly created undead, as well as anyone else who lent a ear to listen. With his speech given, he would sink back into the grave dirt of his birth. He had something to investigate. He needed to introduce himself to the beings who had introduced death and time to this world. The limitations of such already caused a strange sensation inside of him. "I think I will call this...wrath." He mumbled to himself as he began his search.

Deleted my post on the recruitment thread. Sorry about that. But yeah I was wondering how to address the undead with the universal law of no immortal races. I have plans on how each type will have to feed to keep the reanimation up, but then they could live forever if they do. I was hoping for some advice before I dive in.

Name: Morlt the Risen. "The Deathborn". "The Consumptive Creator."
Played by: Ludvic Hearthrend
Domains: (Portfolios): Undead, Vice
Theme: God of the undead and the fulfillment of life vices.
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Attack: 4d6
Defense: 2d6
Health: 40
Description: Born from the regrets of those who died with unfulfilled desires. With the advent of mortal life needs began to arise in them as well. As death began to claim these mortals their desires and unfulfilled vices tore at them as their lives faded away. The want to live, to experience, to consume once more was snuffed out. But from death rose Morlt. Dragging himself from the dirt that took hold of the death, he was born from the base desires of the flesh.
Morlt is a tall skeleton with elongated arms and legs. His eye sockets are filled with black onyx that seems to trap the light that falls on it. Silver ingots made up the material of his teeth. Tangled in his empty rib cage are various chains of precious metals. Rings adore both his hands and toes. His his gem studded bones he wears lush silks of purple and black. Finally a crown adorns his head, small platinum chains connecting it to his collar bones.
(I'm thinking his first act would be to begin the propagation of the undead in the world.)
Well now that a death good exists a god of undeath would fit right in. I should have a idea written up by tonight.

That's why he will go in disguise useing magic. All I need is a fake return address. He will have it sent from the dead women's name so the governor knows he means business.

If that is the case he would hire a company to deliver the message for him while he is disguised. There would be instructions for him to come along to the graveyard in old Cassomir if he does not want the rest of the the city finding out about his past transgressions.

At least looking for a pattern. Mostly to see if he travels with armed guards.

"For now he needs to stake out the man and figure out his daily patterns. That way he can meet up with him at a time where he is alone. If that fails he would resort to sending a message hinting at the information that has been uncovered.

"Well for now all we can do is try to outsmart them in the trial. I need to do some research into some other things in the court. For now I need to take my leave and do some research"
Ludvic would head home for now. Once home he will begin gathering all the evidence for his black mail case.

"Sadly I was not able to get the information. Before I could get into the office a different thief raised some commotion and put the whole place on alert. I only managed to get out myself. Now I'm afraid of having to plan for the worse. What do you think, what strategy do we have now?"

Right now I'm trying to think what would work out best in the long run. For right now he will go out and meet his fellow defender to get a idea on what will happen once our friend is found guilty.

"I'm debating on that now. I told them I would work with them and do my best to make sure he gets sent to jail. Did I ever say I would not set things up to break him out? For now we need to bide our time until the trail. I need to check my calendar to see when it is."
