![]() Hi All!
One of our founding Armed Forces members will be leaving us in a few months. He has missed every running of this event in our area because of serving our country. We would like to give him the opportunity to play in it before he leaves. We will also use it to celebrate our Second year anniversary! We want to extend an invitation to anyone who wants to come and join us for this event. We should have 5+ tables and we will have prizes! If at all possible let us know by posting here. As added incentive if we get enough people we have the opportunity for special prizes. aka Angela ![]()
![]() We were having a lot of the same problems with replay and such. I'm not going to go into our group history it's moot. We played twice a month for two sessions totalling 4 games a month for over a year (we will celebrate our 2nd year at the end of the month). When the replay rules changed to 1 time for credit per player there was much ado on these very boards. The general consensus was if you played twice a month then this problem pretty much went away. Our group conceded to this and guess what? The general consensus is right. Since we dropped to two games a month we hacve had very little issues with who has played what. I hope this helps. If anyone has any questions post them here or PM me. I'd be glad to help if I can. LtlBtyRam

![]() I coordinate for our local area. I recently had one of my GM's let me know there were some discrepencies between the hard copy chronicle sheets and what I reported. When I went to fix this I didn't find a way to change the character which got the GM credit. Am I missing an option somewhere or has this ability been taken away from people who report? Thanks for any answers. ![]()

I totally understand about the expenses Zuxius. To be honest when I heard about the venue change I feared something like this would happen. I know there were quite a few people who rented the suites at the other hotel. Realizing this I started doing some researching. The Marriott has a sister property right next door, The Residence Inn. I don't know how this will work with the whole room party thing. Another con goer who hosts a game is in the same situation. He doesn't want to incur the expense of renting (I think) the equivalent of a suite from the former hotel and possibly running into noise problems. He would like to see if we can get a "block" of rooms there too. I really hope this happens as I think it would solve a lot of people's problems. I hope this gets some attention and gets resolved. aka Angela ![]()

Usually just your number is good enough. Make sure you have your character number as well (i.e. your first character is your number followed by a -1 second -2 and so on). I hope you have fun and welcome to PFS. ![]()
![]() Hello,
My use of HeroLab is another story. Yes the fact you have to pay for the supplements makes it a little pricey, but I really don't want to learn how to do it in a free program. I love HeroLab. A lot of it depends on your computer knowledge and the amount of time you have to adding all of the extra stuff. Good Luck & let us know what you decided! ![]()
![]() Ok here is my take on things. I hope everyone gets something out of my post, and for those of you I met at PaizoCon it may make a little more sense. I Coordinate and GM for PFS in my local area. I GM for encounters every week at my FLGS. Our encounters program is VERY successful. We have three time slots it is offered and at least one of those slots has 2-3 tables running. We make heavy use of the tracking sheets available to track resources. A "day" of in game play usually consists of 4 combat encounters and a skills challenge (this is a 4e concept where the party has to use skills and reach x# of successes before x# of failures). On the tracking sheets we make sure players note when resources which don't recharge before games are used. For PFS this is where you would track which spells/slots were used for the casting classes. These sheets stay at the store from week to week. The GM's let the players know when the next day starts thus a fresh compliment of spells and such. I think this could work in a fashion, maybe not with the scenarios as written. This would be more for a module or something. If a similar program were used maybe you could have the tracking sheet signed off by a GM at the end with the XP, treasure, and items earned carry into PFS play. The players would only get what they were actually there to play for. As for RP and encounters it is exactly the same with PFS in my experience. It all depends on the players. Some of my encounters tables are heavy RP some aren't and the same goes for my PFS tables. I am sorry to hear some of you have a bad taste for encounters and in my opinion it is due to it being poorly ran. My 2cp,

![]() Unfortunately real life gets in the way of gaming sometimes. Thanks Dane for being there, I'm sorry I couldn't be. Keven wasn't sure if he was going to have enough vacation leave for his 20th year class reunion until the last minute. It ended up he did, so we were out of state. I am usually there to coordinate and well, like I stated above real life intervened. Yes we do play on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 1pm, and yes the next session will be July 9th, 2011. Barring a medical emergency I will be there. If anyone has any questions go ahead and post them here. I check the boards regularly. Sorry once again for any confusion. :-( Angela ![]()
![]() Wiggz wrote: You misunderstood what I was saying. When speaking of overlaying the potential of mez effects, I meant combining the effects of Dazing Assault (to eventually be replaced with Stunning Assault) upon a successful hit with the effects of Staggering Critical (to eventually be replaced with Stunning Critical) upon a successful critical hit. Most times when there is a confirmed critical, the foe will have to save against two potential effects, one from Assault and one from the Crit. Sorry about that I was thinking you were stacking critical feats. ![]()
![]() Wiggz wrote:
I'm sorry to point out the mez conditions from multiple feats don't stack until you can get this feat. For the information straight from the prd go here and look up the Critical Mastery Feat. Even with this the most mez conditions you could overlay is two. From the PRD wrote:

![]() This was my first PaizoCon and I had a blast. I can't say I'm for chaning venues, for a a fews reasons. First I really want to stay at the hotel next year. If it is held somewhere else I don't know room prices would be feasible. Second I liked the size of the con. I got to talk to a lot of people I have seen on these messageboards and they were easy to find or just "bump" into as the weekend went. If it got too much bigger I'm not sure it would happen this way. I do realize this part may not be in Paizo's best interest. Third The Con price itself. I know the price is pretty inexpensive as far as a con goes, but when everything is double (both me and my boyfriend are gamers) s0 it does add up. Anyway my 2cp,

Well I suppose if we can't have you then it's nice to lose you to a brand new lodge! Good luck...and we still miss you here. You will always have a spot at our table. I expect to see you at PaizoCon next year. We finally got to go to our first one and it was a BLAST!!! I'll keep checking in to see how your new group is going. Miss having you at our table,

![]() Thanks for the input Ryan and Stephen. I look forward to running this as I have heard good things said here and at PaizoCon. Ryan it was nice to put a face to your name and messageboard handle. Stephen thanks for the tip about younger players. We will have two GM's ready to run this so hopefully we can cover any and all players interested! I have to say the VC's are pretty great. I got to meet several during PaizoCon. I'll let you guys know how it went at our store.

![]() Yep the next date is the 25th with a start time of 1pm I do try and I stress try to be there by noon. Don't worry about bringing a level one. We have very generous players and we will always do whatever we can to accommodate new players. If for any reason we can't have a low level table we keep pre-gens on hand for you to play. The only way this would happen is if we don't have enough GM's and/or players to break into 2 tables. This rarely happens (I think twice in a year and a half). If you have any questions please e-mail me at olympia.pfs.players@gmail.com Once again welcome to PFS play Angela ![]()
![]() Ok here goes. I posted a short post earlier, but here goes. I had an awesome time meeting a ton of people. Like Auke I won't even try to name them all. My con experience started before the con. On Thursday we (my boyfriend and I) met Jason Nelson and Neil Spicer to hang out at the Science Center, from there we ate our way through Pike's Place Market for lunch, after that we caught a session of the Paladin in Hell game (where I got to play), after that was of course the Meet and Eat. This is everything I thought it was going to be, we hung out in Zuxius' room where I quite liked the rootbeer his son brewed (I'm still pushing for Cream Soda next year). Friday got started a little late due to the game we ended up playing. Our original plans got altered so instead of catching a few seminars we ended up in a pick up game of PFS where a GM was graciously accquired for us by the mustering squad. This game allowed us to play characters who have been shelved the better part of a year along with one of our other local players William aka Talbanus with his character Tagaron. Our lottery event took an interesting turn where Khellendros460 (my boyfriend) gave his seat to Michael Griffin-Wade aka Herald so he and his wife could play together, khellendros460 ended up at the Grand melee with William while I played in the lottery event. He said it was great, fun, and a bit daunting toward the end and JP did a great GM job. Once again we found ourselves at the Paladin in Hell game. (I want to give a shout out to Jason Nelson for introducing us to this game and the peeps running it. If not for him we wouldn't have come across it). That game had an open door policy and several people wandered in and out so we got to meet a lot of people that way. Saturday started out early with a lotter game ran by Kelly Grotek we had a great group of people and the end was of epic proportions. We were able to once yet again pick up Paladin in Hell. Those guys are extremely generous and all around great. The banquet held our time in the evening. There have been plenty of posts about that. Afterward we ended up in Hell again, and just generally hanging out after the game. I will say Kyle Baird was in this game slot and told us about a level 7-11 PFS game was happening first thing Sunday morning if enough people showed up. We decided to go too, just to make sure it was played. Sunday morning was really rough as we had not had very much sleep all weekend. I'm not sure who had it worse us (sleed deprived) or Kyle (who imbibed on Sat night). Talbanus showed up again with Tagaron. Needless to say we had enough people to make this happen. We had a good mix of characters, a good GM, and an all around good time with Wrath of the Accursed. We managed to get into Painlord's after con game too. This shows a lot of promise and I can't wait to find out more. Anyway that about wraps up our con and I can't wait for next year. Of course staying at the con hotel this go 'round! Thanks to all of the people I met! ![]()

Will do. We have plans to leave our area around 9am. According to Google Maps it should take us about an hour and 10 mins to get there. We will call when we get to the area. Just to be clear since I'm not very familiar with Seattle you mean the complex near the Space Needle right? One more question, kinda silly but I know people who don't. Do you accept text messages?

Our group too is wondering on this very topic. It seems a bit odd that "Extra Channel" is the only Extra feat in the core rulebook and APG which doesn't specify you can take it more than once. I hope this is an over sight. ![]()
![]() Ok I know how it works to hire an NPC to take care of ability damage and such. This individual would like to raise an ability score by 2 points by using 2 scrolls containing wish spells.
