I'd set it in Taldor. The PCs are a bunch of nobles with Mythic power, gained through some ancient heirloom, and think themselves above the matters of day to day Taldor politics. They use their Mythic power to protect Taldor and the Inner Sea region from all the terrible and awful things that would bring ruin. They'd face down insidious agents heralding the Dominion of the Black, Genie sabateours from Qadira, Celestial agents from Andoran, Devils from Cheliax, Demons from the Worldwound, Aboleths from the sea, aliens from other planets in the solar system, Daemons, Divs, Wizards from Nex, new anti-Taldor rebels armed with firearms, Undead from Geb, and some unfortunate agents of Rahadoum that look quite poorly armed in comparison.
The PCs would be part of an ancient part of the Taldan government, outside of control and (most of) the nation's byzantine bureaucracy . In downtime, they'd relax, drink tea and all manners of exotic drinks in luxurious city apartments while managing their business and investment portfolios. They'd socially spar with high society. Quite posh, in all regards.
Maybe it could be a generation game, where they'd marry off their children and family for better titles and estates, and then play as them, inheriting the Mythic power.
That's my idea.
