Liberty's Edge

Bump.

I think it is safe to assume these are so far down the priority list they will not be released.

Please prove me wrong!

Liberty's Edge

Another month has passed so it is time to bump this thread - any news on the release of these?

Holiday breaks are coming up very soon...

Along those same ideas as above:

I keep the original cardboard page they come in, and I print out a pdf page of each pawn sheet. Then I slip both the pawns/cardboard page and the pdf page into 8.5x11 sheet protectors. Keeps the pawns from falling out of the clear sheet protectors, and once I remove a pawn, I can see the pdf sheet below to know where the pawns go back in place.

For now, I keep binders of all the sheets. (One for beginner box, one for bestiary, etc.)

I kept a log from that day in chat.

Our first awareness of what Paizo was doing came at 18/03/2008 21:52:19 in the log.

Pardon the PG-13 language throughout...

Pygon - thank you for posting the chat log. I had totally forgotten how much fun we had that day. I am proud to have been on board since day 1. Way to go Paizo!!

Lack of a fridge was my only real complaint. I drive to PaizoCon, so I will bring a cooler next year. I stay in quite a few hotels (convention hotels too) and I find most of them have fridges in the room. I am a Marriott Rewards member, booked on the first day PaizoCon rooms were available, requested a fridge, and still did not get one. The front desk told me they just had too many fridge requests and could not fill them all.

Coffee outside the gaming rooms was great on Saturday. If we could get that all three days that would be fantastic.

The PFS room was tight and way too loud, but it sounds like the construction cut down on the space available. (The ability to make three rooms out of the banquet room at the Coast was nice - really helped with the noise.)

WiFi was free in the lobby. There were also computers in the lobby if you wanted to use one of those.

There was free parking on the street if you were willing to drive a few blocks away from the hotel. I won't tell you where I parked - else I might not have a spot next year ;-)

Liberty's Edge

Thank you again, Majuba! Those tasty brains always seem to hit the spot.

Liberty's Edge

Anyone find overnight parking that is free?

Liberty's Edge

Nom, nom, nom. BRAINS!

This is such a great tradition, Majuba.

Printing follow-up:

Uninstalling Reader X and installing Reader 9.5 solved the printing problem for this file. This is the first file that would not print in Reader X for me - so I still think there is something different about this pdf file.

Thanks for the advice Joana.

Liberty's Edge

I am also having problems printing this out. Never had a problem printing Paizo pdf files before...

I am printing from Adobe Reader X (10.1.3) on a PC.

After I send it to print, it goes thru the usual flattening process then I get a message box "The document could not be printed" and when you close that box, another pops up "There were no pages selected to print".

I have tried print all, print single page, etc. and they all come back with those same two message boxes. Trying another Paizo pdf file - and everything works fine.

I am stumped as to what is happening with this file.

I purchased Fangs from the Past and I wanted to let you know that I am so glad you are working on another Basic Paths adventure.

Good stuff here!

Malt and Vine is within walking distance from the con. Excellent bottle shop with a number of beers on tap. Not to be missed!

I also second Black Raven - one of the best.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks, Niilo! I was just thinking there should be a summary list for the items in this thread. Excellent work!

Liberty's Edge

Ruins: Reading the conclusion on the bottom of page 3, I think there is a missing line(s) of text to complete the paragraph.

I have decided to sell my Rise of the Runelords complete set of hard copies on eBay if anyone is interested.

Issues 1-6 plus the map folio and player's guide.

Thumbs up for the Sue Bird shirt!

Liberty's Edge

E-mail sent. Very cool to see these stories in print. I am happy to donate to help with the costs.

After growing up on Chicago style pizza, I can recommend another Seattle place to try:

Kylie's Chicago Style Pizza
3601 Freemont Ave North
http://www.kylieschicagopizza.com/

Not a bad take on the original. The "side salad" easily feeds 2 people while you wait for the pizza to cook.

How will the open PFS events work that only have 6 slots, but cover a large range of levels?

For example:
Friday 12-5 PM The Dalsine Affair
Maximum 6 attendees
Level 1-7 characters

I am assuming this sign-up is for one table of 6 players with 1 GM. Don't all 6 players need to have similar tiered characters?

I did not think a 1st level character could play up two tiers with 6th level characters, for instance, if that is who shows up for these 6 slots.

Liberty's Edge

Check out the Open Events tab in the PaizoCon Event Schedule (still a work in progress) and you will see at least 8 PFS games for 1st and lower level characters.

There will be plenty of games for all levels.

Liberty's Edge

Nom, nom, nom - must... seek... out... the BRAINS!

Arriving Friday morning. Thanks, Majuba!

Liberty's Edge

I still keep hoping the 3rd Eberron Lanternlight Files book (Death Comes Easy) by Parker DeWolf will see the light of day. Not happy when only 2/3rd's of a trilogy gets published.

Somehow I think my husband (who is not attending) might prefer that I bunk with some other gals. ;-)

Thanks for the offer though. See you guys in June.

Liberty's Edge

Female, non-smoker, looking for non-smoking roommate(s) for Friday and Saturday nights. I have been to every PaizoCon to date. Looking forward to this one.

Liberty's Edge

I also enjoy the Planet Stories line, but I don't read them as fast as they arrive. In the past when they had been coming out about every other month I was getting way behind.

This recent slow down has not been a problem for me. It has actually kept me subscribing to the line.

Liberty's Edge

Date saved! Yea!!!

Liberty's Edge

Please cancel my Pathfinder Roleplaying Game subscription.

Thank you,

Liberty's Edge

Thank you for adding the little "Where on Golarion?" maps to the latest modules. This is a welcome and helpful addition.

Thanks, Paizo!

A friend of mine dubbed the corporate "lateral" move as the "No-motion" instead of the promotion. When your manager says you've done a great job and they are happy with your work, then offers you the "no-motion" for the next year. Dilbert again.

Liberty's Edge

Congrats on the new job, Liz! Welcome to the Evergreen State.

Liberty's Edge

When I first started the book, the POV shift was a little confusing for a few paragraphs or pages, but as I went on I could see which character was which by the language.

One thing that would be great is adding a location map at the start of the book.

I just recieved my last issue in Kingmaker and first issue of Serpents Skull, the covers are way softer and flimsier (if thats a word) it just seems that the cover is not the same hardness and thickness as before, is it just me?

I noticed the exact same thing with my latest order. I have been a subscriber since issue #1. Is is possible that ~part~ of the print run has different card stock?

These last two are certainly more flexible. I like it actually - I think it makes the issue easier to read.

Liberty's Edge

Bought! Thanks Steven!

I am sorry to report that Abner "Four Eyes" met his demise when he got too close to a deranged ax man. He is however watching over Peggy from the great beyond.

Thanks for running this game, Greg. Great role playing by the whole table.

Liberty's Edge

I don't see it as a male/female thing. I am a female and I have plenty of male friends who have absolutely zero interest in playing.

My husband enjoys playing computer and console games, but also has no interest in playing tabletop RPGs.

To each thier own. Some people like RPG's some just don't.

Yum - brains! I loved 'em last year. Can't wait to sample the 2010 vintage.

Thanks!

Liberty's Edge

Any plans for pdf's each week (or after the compiled edition) for those who would like to print them out to read away from the computer?

(I know I can highlight and print selected, but I just thought I would ask...)

Liberty's Edge

I just got my soon to ship e-mail. Looks like it includes Prince of Wolves which is scheduled for July. Did this book arrive at Paizo early, or is something goofy with my order?

Thanks!

Don't forget: Today, March 30th - more Kurosawa on TCM.

Liberty's Edge

Today 3/23/10 on TCM (channel 41 on our cable network) they are running Kurosawa movies all day long!

Liberty's Edge

Wow - that is quicker than I anticipated. Thanks!!!

Liberty's Edge

I don't think I have seen when v2.2 of the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play will be released. Maybe a firm date is not known yet.

Does Paizo anticipate v2.2 being released before PaizoCon 2010?

Thanks!
