Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Well now if that ain't a kick in the teeth." Logarth says with a grin.
Must stay in control. Keep centered and focus.
Logarth drops down to a knee to see if he can help Slice and make sure he is okay. Barring him being alright.
"Well now if you aren't the bravest and dumbest lad I have ever met...but you fight like a tiger. You have my respect."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

I forgot about the bardic performance so my sweep attack would actually be a 14 v the bad guy's cmd
It is all good I rolled a 25 on reflex to get Slice out.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Upon missing the fleeing man's legs, in anger Logarth puts his fist through a board in the floor.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Forgot his Attack of Opportunity.
"I wasn't done with you!" Logarth growls at the man trying to flee.
Thinking for a moment Logarth attempts to sweep the running man knocking him prone and preventing this explosion.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
If hit the man falls prone and cannot activate the trap.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Reflex save:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Then reflex to pull Slice out:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
"We will get you out yet alive my friend."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Seeing his opportunity Logarth strikes out with an open palm strike to the heart.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
If hit:
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Fort save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Logarth's next action would be a flurry of blows to the man that I just missed.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
If hit:
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Logarth tries to calm himself.
Flurry of Blows on the closest baddie.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
If hit:
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Damn you all! You shall perish this day!"
Logarth's eyes turn a darker shade of red.
Acrobatics:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Logarth jumps through the air with a superman punch.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
If hit:

I apologize for my absence my wife tried to commit suicide this week. If you need to NPC me or if you would rather I drop out then I shall do so. As for something to stabelize Slice let me check my inventory. Logarth has +3 to heal to try and stabelize Slice.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Logarth moves himself as to provide flanking for Slice.
Acrobatics1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Taking Lance up on his offer."A little drink would do well."
Then thinking for a moment Logarth says to Lance, "Seems I be owin you a drink as well." He pauses for a moment then in a chuckle says to everyone, "Tell ya what when we get done the first two rounds for everyone is on me."
He pauses for a moment the yells at everyone,"Seems like we left Master Slice behind. I shall return to see what he is up to."
Then when he hears Slice's plan to open the last door,
"Aye, it is better to get punched in the eye then stabbed in the back. Besides should that door be trapped as well better for you and I to find it then the mayor if you catch my drift."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"I say we should be going to visit that priest get things going on..."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

1. Logarth wants to see the money returned to be sure. My vote is to take it first to the priest and see if he has any insights into who we can trust with this information and then go from there.
2. As for the Army I think once again the priest is the most logical person to start with, but Logarth will relish in the chance to test himself against an entire army.
3. I would think that either the priest or the mayor would know about the sword, and I think we should find it before this invasion.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"It all be the same to me...but I be bettin that door is trapped too. Seems to me this whole place be one big trap, but perhaps it be better for us to set it off then say the Mayor."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"So he be the one that belongs to the medallion I got from the mines? I say that we should take all this back to that priest of yours, perhaps then we can motivate this town to rid itself of some scum."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Now that gives a whole new meaning to blue in the face." Logarth says with a chuckle.
"Say any o you recognize that seal?"
Knowledge History:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"My money be on that being another bobbie trap...perhaps a quick peek through the lock will let us know."
With that knowing the explosion gave up any chance of stealth Logarth lumbers over to the door the looks through the lock.
Perception:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Well so much for them not knowing we are here. May as well had a trumpet announcing us."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"See Slice we all can learn." Logarth says with a wink.
Then turning back to the others,"How about Slice and I go inside and have a quiet look around."
Stealth:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Perception:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
To see if anything is out of the ordinary and if anyone is actually home.
Then to check for the proof the priest needs.
Perception:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Unless this fool is both blind and dumb seems like we have lost the element of surprise. I should like to possibly help him become both." Logarth says with a wide toothy grin.
'"However should he not be home perhaps our friend Slice can pick the lock and he may not know we were ever here."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Logarth nods to Lance and then motions with his head to Slice.
Stealth check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Perception:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Upon hearing the knock Logarth attempts to hide to one side of the door.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Let go!" Logarth bellows loud enough to startle those close.
Intimidate:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
He then begins to move at a quick pace out the south side of town before he stops.
"Errr...well it seems to me that I don't know the way. Perhaps another knows if not well maybe I can go ask the Tavernkeep?"
With the last a slight hopeful smile crosses his face.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"If we be headin to this windmill then I say we best be quick about it. My fists have a date with Jim's face... Then we shall find any proof that is needed I am sure. Perhaps after we find this proof the priest can help us with our predicament."

"Ye be right, lad. It'd not be fair to do deeds on something without tending to the matter of hand; we can't leave the boddies like carrion, nor the children rot in the mines... so we looked after them right and true. As fer ye and yer words? They speak to the heart of the matter... we got a big job to do, but we can't go neglecting the little one's on the way... ain't right."

Logarth looks at the others suprized at the sudden appearance of common speech. Logarth looks to the Tavern then to Cael, and finally back to the others."Gah, you be right. This priest chap may know a thing or two and then I vote that we give that smilin' bloak broken teeth as to smile with if you catch my drift."
Then looking back to Cael,"What say you Master Cael? Care to postpone those drinks for a few more minutes and in return add an extra drink onto that promise I do be owin' you?"

Cael Brannyn wrote:

You all find Cael sitting at the town center he looks up from the conversation that he has been having with what appears to be himself. Well met, crew. Seems to me before you go out saving the day again. You might want to keep your clothes on. He tosses everyone their proper gear.

Upon Darnail and Lances 'private talks' he will look down and to the side and speak Yes, Callum, they are speaking the elvish tongue but what they don't under stand is ** spoiler omitted ** Now do you know this missing man they speak of?

Cael will take on more moment to greet Lograth, If my recollection serves me right you owe me a couple of drinks Master Monk

"Aye a few drinks and a hot meal as I recall. Seems you and I are brothers in combat with nearly identical wounds and thus we shall share more than drinks. I have many a story to tell."

Then turning the others,"Well what say you all? Perhaps a few drinks and a hot meal would do us all well as we sort out all the information we have, but if ye be up for bustin some teeth well my appetite can wait."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Logarth looks back at Lance taking in everything that has been said and quietly processing the information."Well lad I do reckon that there be a priest in this godforsaken town and perhaps the mayor would know more. But as for me I would say that we best find the others and together we go about puttin all this puzzle together. However I reckon that we best be movin along until this puzzle is put together."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Looking back at Lance, Logarth smiles then widens his stride. "The faster the better. While last time at the tomb I didn't notice anything in particular, but that doesn't mean there was nothing there, instead and most likely it was that I wasn't looking in the right place."
Thinking for a moment then reacting to Lance's comment about the drink,[b]"You loose your wits after one drink? You do be a lightweight unlike most others I have met. Perhaps I do be needin to teach you a thing or two. "[b] Logarth laughs and nudges Lance.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Ye be missing me point, lad. Fer whatever reason we be drawed here by something fierce in the way o' spellcasting or magical powers in general... mayhap even the gods, as may be,"Lance adds, making a warding symbol at the thought of some god or demon-spawned supernatural curse.

"What be the use of running from this place to wherever our homes be? We be getting home, and then? What's to stop what be drawing us back to this place from doing it again? And again after that? What purpose we got here? Why we be being here, eh? Fer what reason? And what in the nine hells we need be doing to keep us from getting drawed back to this rock again..."

"Perhaps you be right about gettin home my guess is until we finish whatever business has brought us to this Godforsaken rock we can't be leavin if you know what I mean. Now, perhaps before we meet the others in the Tavern for a stiff drink and hot meal perhaps a second look at that tomb could tell us more. What say you to a quick stop lad?"

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Naught can be done about a lad's own worries, so it be best if he turn his back on 'em. We be stuck in the ass-end of the world with a strange bunch o' shipmates... some of them be ugly in heart and deed, and others seem eager to be as changeable as the bloody seas; changing their tune and song when and if it suits their fancy, and how. But what can be done? Talking won't mend it, remunating won't change it... they be here, and we be here... and they don't give a tinker's cuss about naught but themselves, I think... Anyhow, that be on my mine, and ye be asking, so I be saying... I'd not say so if ye hadn't talked on it, though... but it were on me mind fer a reason, so I spoke at yer asking. But what's done is done... best keep our eyes forward then, and look out fer each other... else we all be up to our necks in dung and piss, 'cause I don't know about ye, lad, but I be planning on doing what I can to get off this little bugger of an island an moving on right soon; fresh winds, fresh sea, and sails fer home..."he adds the last flatly, not with a wistful enthusiasm of sailing for free ports. Rather, he speaks as a man who is surrounded by evil on all sides, and no choice he makes will matter much to the turning of his fate.

"We all be what we be, time and temper molded us this way. We have like you said a choice to be about whatever business that brought us to this 'ass end of the world' or we can relish and die here. I myself am eager to get back to my sanctuary. I would say that we best find the others buy a round have a bite and then do what we can to find out about those letters, the drow, and that Jim fellow. I myself can't wait to break his smiling teeth."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"That lad Jim... he's got a strange way about him... Looks fair and feels foul, if ye take my meaning, from what I recall in the town. And ye mark how the boy's dad be nervous like when he brought up the name to us? And how this "Jim" lad be warning us back from the mines, as if he got something to protect? Ye don't get a plan like the one we done see below the dirt and mud without having friends above, as may be. Lad, I be thinking we need to watch this Jim fellow... one hand our purse, the other on a weapon... strikes me like lad who'd cut yer throat fer coin or make mischief fer amusement. Just be keeping yer eyes open and yer speach subtle, if ye take my meaning,"he adds as they continue to walk.

"I agree there is something wrong and amiss with that one. He seems like the kind to punch you in the nose so your eyes water and then while you can't see he takes your weapon and your purse. I will speak soft, but know my fists carry a lot of metal if you catch my drift."

As they walk Logarth can tell something is eating away at Lance. "Besides this Jim fellow what seems to ail you lad? As for me that dead boy weighs more than a blacksmith's anvil."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Aye his body is being taken to the priest as we speak. The costs shall come from our satchels." Then with a stone face he looks back at the father,"Jim Oakenbough you say? He a man that smiles a lot? Met a bloak outside the mine with a few of his pals rubbed me the wrong way. He was smilin the whole time and insisted that we not look for your boys in the mine. I believe that we have somethin from the Hobgoblins that took your boys should you care to meet us at the Tavern. But I do thank you for the information and my condolences on your loss."
Logarth waits for Lance before deciding what to do next.
I think we should meet the others then go find the mayor and ask about this Jim Oakenbough fellow.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Once Logarth and Lance get to the boy's home Logarth allows Lance to deliver the boy to the parents before stepping forward.
"Now I do be beggin your pardon, but while we were in the mines I happened upon a rather important looking man, unfortuantly he was dead, but I managed to get this off him." Logarth pulls out the button and shows it to the family.
"Does this look familiar to any of you?"

"Perhaps you are right, after all you are a big boy."Logarth bellows out a laugh then with sterness in his voice and determination in his eyes says,"I think I will go as well perhaps they know who this badge belongs to and I myself do not know who to trust in this town as of yet, but figure someone just getting their child back may be a little more open than I have found many in this god-forsaken town."

"Lance, would you escort the child to his home while we take these two to the chapel?"

Darnail will carry the wrapped child's body and head with Germon to the chapel.

"After these two errands are taken care of, we should go as a group to the Mayor."

Logarth will go to deliver the boy that is alive back to his family. While there he will show the badge to the family and ask if they recognize it.

Darnail will survey the scene after exiting the tunnel.

"We should look into returning to the town. However, i would like to recover the two bodies first and bring them with us as we go. It should not take long at all."

"Alright, but we should give the village as much warning as possible. Also I need to show this badge around see if anyone recognizes it."

I hope it isn't the mayor that was out....

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Logarth once again takes the lead as we head down the other tunnel. "Hope this takes us out seems like we have a bit o' preparin to do to take out these drow invaders."

As you all enter the cavern you can hear the water receding away towards one corner of the room where what looks like drains were placed into the floor. They are much too small to enter in case anyone had the sudden urge to go down a creepy drain. You can see on the floor are written numbers in the undercommon language. Anyone with military training recognize the marks as mustering guides for army formations.

Along the back wall is a massive door. It is an arch 20 feet high, closed off with two immense doors of worked stone. These are engraved with ornamental scenes of battle. The craftsmanship is amazing, depicting rank upon rank of bald-headed warriors storming up from the bottom of the doors towards castles and other buildings at the top. You realise that this is meant to represent an army rising from below the earth to attack the surface world.

The doors are thrumming with magical power for any who look upon them with detect magic. You get the impression that these doors will only open from the inside.

Continuing around the room, you find a raised platform at the front of the room next to a small tunnel leading up into darkness. Upon the platform is a table with several papers on it.

Germon is able to translate the document that you find there.

Master Overseer, ensure that the following are in place:
All special weapons crates from the smithy, laid out according to division and commander
Chisel assembly zone markings into floor to indicate mustering points (remember, each enclosure to hold at least five hundred of our warriors)
General Ulsnurr’s personal throne (fetch from his chambers)
Complete access tunnel to surface
Prepare holding cells for important human prisoners
Make ambassadorial suite ready for the Most Honoured Allies
Attend to this with all haste. We have only ten days to prepare until the Legions of the Chthonic Alliance are destined to march on the upper world.

"Perhaps we can disorient them by destroying their markings and collapse their tunnel to the surface as to go down there a man short and with this young lad would be suicide indeed. But should everyone want I am just as ready to jump down as ever. I suggest that we look for away out."

Looking at Cael,"For someone so large you think well on your feet tis for sure."
Then looking around at everyone else,"When you are all ready we should shove off and find this last lad, bet he is wet and scared whitless."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Perhaps we should find some rocks and we can use my gui to weigh down all the armor to protect it from floating away."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Should you feel it wise I can lead us into this passage as light is not as important for me." Logarth pauses to look around for acknowledgement before doing anything.
Can I make a survival check to see if the gear left behind where the hobgoblins were will remain above water?
If needed:
Survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Logarth has 6 hp currently
Aye a watery grave is no good for any person let alone a young boy. My vote is to find the other so that we can at least return one boy whole."
Logarth slips off his wooden sandles and plunges down into the waist deep water.
"Master Cael seems I wasn't the only one to take a good slashin' seems like you will have a scar across your chest while mine...mine across the back. We have indeed shared much. I shall buy you a stiff drink when we get back to town and perhaps tell a story or two."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Logarth begins to snarl a bit,"If we be going after the lad that is alive I wager that we best be movin as I have little desire to become a buoy. Also I once again persist that those of you who wear armor remove it before we be swimming." Logarth says and looks very proud of the fact that he does not have to disarmor himself.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

For DM only:
I think my signature item would be brass knuckles if they would be allowed with monk weapons and furry of blows otherwise some type of pendant perhaps from the acolytes at the temple.

Looking at the collapsed Cael, "Perhaps a bit of martial arts conditioning would do you good." Logarth bellows with laughter and then goes over to help Cael up.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

"Thank you master Cael, now as for the water I am a bit concerned it is raising more steadily now, perhaps it be wise that those with armor take it off as we may have to take a dip. Seems the other child fled down this tunnel. I think we should go after him and bring at least one child safely back to town."

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Dice roll for hp: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
When Logarth comes to he looks around and says,"Wow been awhile since I took a shot like that." Upon seeing the boy,"Poor lad, Danail is it possible for you to heal this poor lad perhaps he can yet be saved?"
Logarth then begins to look around for signs of the other child.

Sorry for the absentie, but while on vacation the internet has been shotty due to lots of thunderstorms, but for the time being Logarth is here and not bleeding at the moment.
