By your powers combined, I am Captain Dragon!

Me too. It's so rare to get to play a pseudodragon. :(

::Time to investigate!:: Livy thinks excitedly as he swims over to the rune and looks at it closely.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

::Hmm... I wonder if that glow is like what lead me to you?:: Livyathan asks.. no one in particular, apparently. ::You may be right. It doesn't feel like that did.::

Noticing Anala's humming and recognizing the spell, Livy trills softly to cast his own and swims up next to her eagerly.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

::Well this makes no sense! How is the next room filled with water when this one wasn't?:: Liv asks after he peers through the hole in the door.

::I can breath the air just fine. I breathe a bit faster out of the water, but nothing seems wrong, and I've been assured it's because it's easier than breathing water, slightly.::

Livyathan eyes the room curiously.

::I wonder how they got the water out of this room? Back home, when we wanted a cavern with air in it, we made kelp baskets and weighed them with rocks so they would sink upside down.::

::I agree, though I'm not hurt but a little. It was fun though, wasn't it?::

True. We dragons are rather enduring though.

I'll try to post something tomorrow, but weekends are hectic for me sometimes.

::AAAAHHHH!::

Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Just a suggestion, but the Swim covers avoiding hazards too.

Gently, with his claws, Livyathan closes the corpse's eyes and mutters something under his breath before he swims quickly over to the door to inspect it curiously.

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 2

EDIT: *laughing*

::How delightful...:: Liv's sarcasm does little to hide his fear. ::Perhaps this is what happened to the others?::

Previously asked for roll: 1d20 ⇒ 11

::I hope all dead here find their afterlives, whatever they may be, quickly.:: Liv thinks softly as he checks to make sure the corpse's eyes are closed.

If it matters I have blindsense 60ft.

::We can't see anything, but I'm wary. Was this room full of treasure already taken, or something else?::

::I will trust my magical gifts to protect me, as they have before.::

Been babysitting the last few days. Regular posting will return after tonight.

Livyathan looks surprised by the lights, and sheepishly takes back the coin.

::Ah, I wasn't paying attention to them when the suggestion was made.::

Swimming along at the back of the group, Livyathan seems to be thinking almost to himself, have thought words breifly reaching the others before he suddenly swims up to Anala and presses a coin into her hand, speaking a brief word. The coins glows softly for a moment before it's light grows to nearly seven yards in all directions. Light spell.

::We apologize for not thinking of this sooner. Keep the coin as long as you need it's light. I will refresh the magic when it starts to wear out.::

Sorry for not posting too.

::You have nothing to worry about from them, Anala. The dead aren't nearly as bad as they look.:: Livyathan thinks to the nixie softly, believing her to be worried about the bodies themselves rather than what killed them. ::It's when they start moving again you need to worry. Unless they're breathing too, that usually means they came back to life.::

Darkvision is everywhere in this party.

Perception:1d20 ⇒ 10

Darkvision and Blindsense 60ft, plus low-light vision.

Alive and swimming!

::I agree.:: Livyathan thinks after a moment.

::Love, maybe? I've seen love happen a lot of different ways back home, and you can trust it to make a difference in decisions.::

Settling down in front of the door, Livyathan appears to be thinking, looking in different directions briefly as if trying to find an answer that way.

::We're not sure, because it doesn't fit with the last line, but we might have an answer.:: He thinks to the others after a few minutes.

::Why not? Ooh, are you not the real door?:: Livy asks as he swims from the bottom of the gate to the top and back again.

::Wonder we'll find?:: Livyathan thinks 'out loud' as he leaves the supply with a crowbar sticking out of his tiny pack.

::I'm ready! I don't carry a lot, so I don't risk leaving anything behind when I travel.:: He explains to the group.

Anala, Nixie Bard wrote:
"and people think the Merfolk are the savages!" she observes again, looking to Livyathan to see if he is still there and okay, before spotting the other 'newbies' left behind by the stampede for the supplies.

::Like sharks around blood, my uncle says.:: Livyathan thinks to her as he swims down from above. ::Said anyway. He's changed his mind now.::

Curiosity filling his tiny frame, Livyathan swims into the supply and looks around for the smaller items, things mostly likely overlooked or passed over.

Perception, if needed:1d20 ⇒ 13

No modifier to Perception is going to get Livy into trouble! ;)

::Nope, not a clue! The young gillman gave me the scroll, and once we read it, I decided to come here.::

Swimming down to the floor, Livyathan dips his head to Poseidon as it is the closest to a bow he can accomplish. The he starts to look around with idle curiosity, mental sentences barely heard by those closest as he thinks to himself.

::Ah!:: He thinks aloud after a few moments, seemingly embarrased. ::My apologies, Lord Poseidon, for not introducing myself, but your palace is the first I've seen. I've only heard of them before, you see, and it's quite interesting! I am Livyathan Coretin, and I have come to offer my humble services.:: He broadcasts with barely contained excitement.

Swimming along looking for something to do, Livyathan is happily surprised by the boy's suggestion that the letter(once he reads it) is for him in a roundabout way. Telling the small merfolk child he had been telling the 'real' legends involving his ancestors too that he was sorry that he had to go, he goes back gathers up his gear and swims speedily toward the court.

Swimming above the crowds, Livy spies something he hasn't seen before: a landwalker in the city!

::Hi!:: He says right into Gorkhan's mind, rather excited. ::Why are you in the city? I've never seen a landwalker down here in Atlantis before!::

I'm just going to grab some magic items sized for Pseudodragons.

Livy is blue scaled everywhere except his underbelly, which is white.

Hi Sunny! Long time no see! It's me, the Prisoner's Vacation GM!

Well, with the exception of equipment(it's harder to come up with what a tiny dragon of the sea would need than I thought), Livyathan should be done.

I imagine him as an energetic little drake with a knack for interrupting simple conversations and getting the completely wrong direction for the conversation to go, such as his ability to sing whalesong, or how often his ancestors show up in legends and are shown in the completely wrong light.

Azten here.

Subtract 11 from the odd stats and 12 from the even ones. It's how I saw it done in 3.5(maybe. might be a weird houserule thing or something).

SR on players tend to be more of a nuisance than a boon. Really need that Cure spell cast on you? Better hope you can risk giving up a Standard Action to lower it, or you ar toast.

Anyway, this will be the alias for my little sea dragon! :) Very little actually in it, but that's because I've not been able to decide his class yet. Seaborn Sorcerer was an option, but we've already got one in the running. Leaning rather heavily toward Wave Oracle or Sea Witch at the moment.

Gender also unknown, but that's okay with the name I picked. Good luck guessing in-game! :P

The Mad Monkeys spell has the monkeys using Wisdom modifier + caster level for the monkey's CMB if the spell is cast by an Oracle.

The two problems with that: Oracles use Charisma and Mad Monkeys is not a cleric spell.

"So, fellow adventure seekers, are we going down into the underground as a group?" Emrys asks as he places his mask back on his featureless face.

"Hello Grendolos. I'm Emrys of the Flunard, and yes, it's a fine day indeed. There are so many people here it's amazing the Blood Fountain hasn't been dealt with already."

"Greetings Orenishon." Emrys says as he removes his mask. "It's good to know another Flunard has decided to help."

The masked figure that walks through the cloud with a small book open, writing in it as he looks around. Such an interesting group of people...

Spying a rather large tree moving through the crowd, Emrys closes his book and moves closer to investigate. He's not surprised to see a Yarren nearby, but seeing a fellow Flunard is a nice surprise.

He waits for a polite moment before introducing himself.

"Hello. I'm Emrys."

Mechanically, this character is finished.

Now I just need to make a back story.

Ugh, I had all my spells picked out, left my computer for a minute, and came back to find everything I had open(music, character sheet, internet) had been closed without saving!

Will be done sometime tomorrow at the latest...
