The master summoner is a HUGE spotlight hog. Combats will take forever. The other players will be able to go out for pizza, and you’ll wish you could too. Fun!

The Synthesist is actually slightly less powerful than a regular summoner, but the rules are so confusing you’ll spend about half your table time arguing about them. Fun, eh?

And a Artificer isn’t a Pathfinder class, and warforged isn’t a PF race. You’ll have more fun struggling to fit them into PF.

I suggest you ask for no summoners, PF only, and only Core & APG..

.as a dm i would say there is no way. Adds a mistry to it. Unless your cutting groves or some other trick, i would say many pcs might lose track.

Imo to play a summoner you have to build both the summoner and the elodin separate but to complete each other. I once built a archer and and a tank elodin that was very fun. It all depends on how you want to play it.


To the op. I envision an arrow with spring loaded barbs that are say 3 inchs long that open after going threw or into a body. Hire a gnome to buld them for ya.

If i was home i could draw you a diagram.


for a heal-bot i think Tongues could be very limiting cause your friends might want to be understood when they are asking for help. unless everyone learns your cursed language.

I love the Haunted for flavor sake, doesnt hurt to have a haversak or bag of holding, potions on a belt, no time penatalys. the little devils cant move your belt slots... (i dont think they can.) (i hope they cant...)


so you can enter rage, moment of clarity, cast, add all that stuff... and end rage at end of turn with no fatigue avery turn or as much as u want?

I think I'm planing a Spirit Totemed Barb with 2levs of oracle, for flavor. I come for a Ancestor worship with a vaugue nature based god head religon in a amazonish rain forest warrior culture.


I also like the Surprising Charge ((Ex): Once per day, you can move up to your speed as an immediate action.) and enlarge person spell from the Battle Revlation.

why do some of you just say rebuild your char move this stat here, change your race, play a diffrent class... thats not what i was asking.

I put my 16 in INT because i wanted to play a smart Barbarian, with skills.

side note: doesn't, Heart of the Fields make me immune to fatigue?

i might dip into oracle for some spells, heal and knowlage class skills, and will save. yea think i might not go rage prophet.

I'm playing in a very casual group. actualy i havent played in years, was invited to play last min. i quickly rolled up a Barb level 1. We rolled for stats (got very lucky... a table full of witness's)

no magic... Im thinking a little magic always helps. so was thinking heading tward Rage Prophet. first inspiration was i want to be able to cast Enlarge Person on my self, level 2 battle Oracle.

Is it worth it? When should I do it?

Its all about your flavor choice. The world im designing has 20ish races (including all the planes touched humans form the races book), elves, dwarfs, and gnomes are very rare, gnolls goloths, Warforged are uncommon.


How many branchs (total fights), before the final battle? Teams or solo fights? all fights PvP or DM encounters mixed in?

Casters recharge spells between encounters? (if not casters would be severly handycapped)

Free healing between encounters, or should i carry a wand of healing?

any houserules we should know about? Or are we playing RAW?

How are we playing? Pbp ??

Time line 300 years ago the 3000year World Wide Dragonic Empire (WWGE), was overthrown. the ruling Dragons presented themselves as gods.

The Church is newish but growing as knowlage of pre-Dragon religon and creation myths, and Prophets have been preaching the new faith.

Mages are mages, divine or arcaine, INT/WIS/CHA they all function the sameish. I like the idea of "White and Black" magic (need diffrent names tho) think ill add a "Green" School too. 3 types of magic all drawing mana (majic energy) from around them, Ethirum (i know Wizard of the coast owns theis word, i dont care) is a mineral naturaly in the world. it is in everything... the force... the life force of the world...

FYI the end of the world happens when all of the Ethirum gets used up. Dark Sun end of times... (just a preveiw of whats to happen in 2-3milenna.

along with free feats i give Point blank shot, and power attack.
PBS if your close it easyer to hit and shots hurt more.
PA i swing with everything i got, more likely to mis but you hit harder.

every ranged fighter must chose pbs and every heavy melee fighter choses PA (i see these as "Forced choices")


the world is a basicly a Magi-punk version of this world. set in the 18th century (our world) all tech is magic. I think Arthur C. clark said "All Technogly can be seen as magic to the primative." so im fliping this on its head "All Tech is Magic."

Yes I know its a lot of changes and prob lots more I havent thought of, but this is the hurtle im crossing tonight.


All magic funcions by pulling mana from the area around them. Clerics think their power comes from their god, but realy its all them.

The main religon is simmilar to the Cathloics, 1 god lots of saints (domains).

Ok so i really dont like the idea of gods... (and aliment for that matter) just the idea of all powerfull gods, realy caring what happenes down below... just doesn't work for my flavor.

There are religous folks, priest, clerics, and churches, many world religons much like this REAL world.

The question how would you story tell (fluff it up) how clerics and other "divine classes" get their majic.? i think all magic is arcaine.

Does it even need Fluff? or would u just roll with it?

yea... years later I still get greaf from that. "The great and terible sword of yellow skin."

i spun it and caused 1 temp con damage every week carryed. cured on a week off (non carryed).

I once made a "lengenary Sword" I had a awsome back story and Quest to search for it planed a 3 sessions to find it. I came up with the name: "the Sword of Johndise" I was so excited, I thought it was awsome name and i was siked. I droped the hook and the whole table burst into laughs. the player to my right said does it turn your skin yellow.

inspired by the cha tread... this is how I see it.

Str= physical str
Int= mental str

Dex= physical dex
Wis= mental dex

Con= control of internal body
Cha= control of personality

I know this is overly simple. it just how I wrap my mind around it.

whats your theme? assaian, long shot archer, tree climber?

was thinking boots of elvenkind, ring of climbing, slippers of spider climb, Sniper Goggles, Goggles of Night. they all sound helpful.


my sorc critted with a Ray of Enfeeblement and turned a boss to a puddle of goo for the party to coo da graw (sp? i know) 17 STR damage is nice

1. make a world (map: i use real earth maps, makes life easy)
1a. populate the world
1b. how does the goverments/nations interact with eachother. this could be simple or complacted (your choice)
1c. Deitys?? many or just 1 (my homeworld has one, and arcons/saints for each domain)

2. make chars
2b. make major NPCs

3. devlop Hooks that might intrest the said PCs

4. prepair encounters 2-3 per session.

5. be prepaired to throw all your planing out the window (no crying in GMing) and play on the fly. my best playing has always been on the fly. Im good at improve.
