Lia will pull her rapier, sidestepping as she does so to put Killik between her and Chasik, then stabs at the man.

Lia holds up a golden coin. "Perhaps you can remember in more detail what you've heard about the Elf, and the things you heard Mallick saying?"

Joining the others, Lia will listen to what the rat-faced man has to say before responding. "What were they saying? Do you remember who it was doing the speaking?"

Lia will stay by the man in the cot.

"Learning to play musical instruments using only the power of your mind, is that it?"

"Have we questioned the captain? And do you believe all of those we have questioned?"

Walking over to the cot, Lia will crouch down next to the healer and pass a hand in front of his eyes. "Yoo hoo. Anybody in there?"

"With poisons like these, the cook wouldn't have used a dagger. The ambassador was stabbed. It would have been much easier for her to poison a dish of food, or to apply poison to something and provide a very simple minor injury. A shaving accident that got infected, for example."

"Well, now. These look very interesting," says Lia, holding up the poison doses. Looking to the others, "Any objections? We still don't know who the murderer is."

"I'll have this dance if that's what you're offering," Lia calls to Chasik as she steps to the side and stabs at the Dwarf to keep her off balance.

Lia moves swiftly forward, drawing her rapier as she goes and stabbing deep into the cook's side.

"So much for the subtle approach," Lia sighs. She wanders off slowly to find the next subject for questioning, dawdling to try and catch some bit of Silas's conversation to see if new information turns up. Finally, she makes her way below to the hold to see who's next. Finding the one-eared Dwarf in the galley, Lia will poke around a bit, examining the pipes and other apparatuses in the hold area before going to speak with the Dwarf. "Hail the chef. How goes the business of turnips and fish?"

Giving Silas a glance, she nudges him and jerks her head in a "go that way" gesture. "What's his bodyguard like? Another elf, or human? I've never had an elf for a lover. Never particularly liked them, myself. It's that same elitism, maybe, that meant I only had one parent, and that gave me these." She traces a finger along one of her ears. "Sometimes I've thought about cutting them off. They make life damned inconvenient."

"In the hold with the ambassador's ..." Lia glances at Silas and then back at Anera. "Why were you there with him? I was under the impression that crew morale was more your game. Who was guarding the ambassador while you two were rocking the boat?"

Whispering to Silas, "Aye, but she may not take kindly to it if she hears you, if what we've heard about her hating elves is true."

"Now be fair, Silas. She may not be a true half-elf. I could have a human child, for example. Perhaps her grandmother fell in love with an elf, and he left a baby in her belly and a tear in her eye."

Lia watches the woman as she speaks, noting the return of Ouroboreia while seeing what comes of questioning this woman. "Why does he trust you to do such things above the rest of the crew? And surely you saw who else was in the room when you woke up. Care to tell any names?"

"So Ulamon was on watch before the attack, and left to go to sleep, presumably handing off watch to the next person in line, yes? Crewmen don't just leave watch without making sure somebody is there to replace them, do they? Any elves on the crew?"

Lia will join Silas in questioning the First Mate. "Good evening, Mr. Mallick. I'm sorry about earlier. Just needed to put the prisoner off guard in there. Without any crew watching, he couldn't try to demand any rights or appeal to higher authority. We got some interesting information out of him, too, since we didn't have to hold back in questioning him. My thanks for letting us loose on him. How have things been going out here? Anything turn up on the bodies? Any of the crew been acting ... odd?"

"Anybody in there with you? Any proof you can offer that you were asleep in your bunk and not prowling the ship?"

Maybe I'm just dense, but race? I'll assume human unless you specify otherwise.

"Keyed open, or it was open before, or the one who picked it was a genius."

"While Silas is checking on poisons, I think we need to check and make sure that the Elves weren't carrying a weapon that could do this. We shouldn't move in less than pairs without good cause. I doubt it was one of us, but we can use it as a precaution in case the crew gets uppity."

Lia looks around at the others, gauging them. "He says they were sent to sabotage the diplomatic talks by killing Sephriel."

Lia looks after the First Mate for a moment. "I don't like him. I expect he'll be trouble."

She then walks up to the elf, and circles behind him, putting her face next to his ear, and says in a low voice,

She then looks up at the others, trying to see which ones understood the words she had said.

Turning to the first mate, Lia gives him a withering look. "You may leave, Mr. Mallick." Her tone makes it clear it's not just permission.

After the Pathfinders and the prisoner are the only ones left in the room, Lia will go and listen at the door. "Just wanted to make sure we were alone. No need to let them have any of the fun. And when we're finished, well, surely we can come up with something more interesting than just throwing him overboard."

Lia stabs out at the elf before her. "Down, fool. What do you want from us?"

Lia moves along the rail, drawing her rapier as she approaches one of the Elves. Diving forward to roll beneath a cut, she pops up and stabs with her rapier at the elf.

Rapier Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

I'm game for either one, or both if we want to run one after the other.

"I'm game, if we have time before the Mermaid leaves. Always good to know what an ally can do in a fight."

I don't know enough about the various scenarios, so I'm good for any scenario that I haven't run in yet (I haven't run in a huge list).

Lia stands off to one side, one hand flipping a dagger end over end. She seems to have weathered the sea voyage reasonably well. Her violet eyes are bright, and her body is long and lean, despite being almost a foot shorter than the half-orc.

As the Venture-Captain mentions Riddleport, Lia's eyes light up. "I don't suppose there will be time between the ship reaching Riddleport and our departure for, say, some recreation? Once this is all finished, it would be nice to be able to stretch for a day or two before the return trip."

"Slavery, serfdom. The same thing, really. One is just dressed up in pretty words and prettier ideals. But do as you will." Lia will assist the lady off the ship, then return to search the ship and bodies for valuables, followed by picking the locks on the slaves if the key to their shackles isn't forthcoming.

Sheathing her rapier, Lia takes a quick stride to the woman's side and crouches down. "It's alright, Lady Salhar. The Grand Ambassador sent us to rescue you."

Lia takes the key and, following the directions, examines it for traps. After that, she takes a look at the door as well. "No need to free them. Criminals serving sentence are frequently sold into slavery. I've no doubt a number of these are such. Pray tell, why should we free you and not sell you for a tidy profit?"

Assuming she finds no traps on the door or the key, Lia will unlock the former with the latter and enter with rapier drawn.

Lia risks a glance at Rogar to see how he's faring against the Gnoll captain before firing her shortbow again.

If Lia sees Rogar is in difficulty, she'll fire at Bonegatherer. Otherwise, firing at Pildapush again.

Swinging down from the upper deck, Lia lands next to Tromos and fires her shortbow at Pildapush

Lia is setting herself the same way as before. If one of the enemies gets close enough or Rogar signals, she'll drop down into the hole and fire her shortbow.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 to take no damage from the drop

"Give us a signal when you want a surprise," Lia whispers to Rogar. She then sheathes her rapier and draws her shortbow as she makes her way to the Western set of stairs.

If possible, readied action to leap into the hole and fire at the nearest opponent on Rogar's signal.

Lia's first move would be to check for any portholes or ways down that would allow her to remain concealed from those in the main room.

Assuming on-board ship is not difficult terrain

Lia moves around behind the deckhouse and gets into a position opposite Rogar to attack the sailor when she gets a chance.

Lia will move to make sure no additional hostiles come up from below.
