With new experience from the mission, The Doctor joins the celebration. After that, he quickly takes a trip back to Absalom Station to do a surprise visit to his Institute.

Despite being trampled by the large float, The Doctor keeps his focus into the fight and moves away from it.

The Doctor rolls eyes at that yell. He then keeps the mote of light distract another conspirator now that Purple is gone.

The Doctor joins Etoile, lining up the people in an orderly manner.

The Doctor silently nods at his allies' assessment. Good thing he is with the right group to investigate the case.

"Let's pay Pazi a visit then."

"Perhaps it was an inside job," the Doctor surmises, a hint of accusation in his voice.

"How could something that big be stolen without anyone noticing it?" he asks. Nevertheless, he agrees to help and begins scanning the area for any clues that might lead them to the large crystal.

He also checks the security feeds, looking for anything that might have slipped past the guards’ attention.

Happy New Year, everyone! I’m back and will slowly catch up and post updates in all the games I’m in and GM.

I’m back from traveling, but the next few days will be busy again. Seeing that the game is paused for the remaining holidays, I will review past posts to catch up on what has transpired. Happy New Year to everyone!

Leopold rides one of the bumpcars into position on the track, his movements careful and tense. He buckles himself into the seat, gripping the sides as the car settles in place.

He glances down at the open space below thirty feet straight down, and swallows.

"What if we fall?" Leopold asks, worry heavy in his voice.

With more incoming, Leopold extends his assistance in moving things for the festival.

Leopold goes on helping moving supplies from one area to another, either through freight drones for heavier loads, or mobile drones with smaller ones. Good thing he found time learning this skill before going to this mission.

I’ll be out of town from December 22 to December 29, so my posting will be intermittent during that time. Please feel free to bot my character if needed. I may also be quite busy from December 30 to January 1, though I expect many of us will be as well.

The Doctor shares this with Daskar as the shirren studies the menu, privately hoping the mental image is enough to spoil his appetite and steer him back toward their inquiry.

"I reside in the Eye of Absalom Station of the Pact Worlds and serve as the Director of the Silverline Institute there. My name is Leopold Fix, though most know me simply as ‘The Doctor.’" he introduces himself to Daskar.

"I have not traveled much in my life, save for a recent mission alongside my allies to the frozen moon of Luvoth, where we encountered and ultimately saved the lu-venons, the moon’s sentient inhabitants." he adds, expanding slightly on what CTU had already shared.

Relaxing at a spa? Not a bad idea. He gladly takes the free ticket and makes himself comfortable, enjoying the rare downtime before heading out on the mission.

Another welcome relief comes the next day, he doesn’t even have to manually fly the ship, as that’s already taken care of. For once, he can truly relax.

The Doctor silently nods for all the information given to them, as he has no questions so far.

The Doctor nods in agreement with their report, producing a few of the bands for the Society to examine. Assuming the lu-venons permitted them to bring samples back for study.

"They possess a device that at first lets us sense their emotions... perhaps because of their state when their sentience are trapped somewhere, and then the bands allowed us full communication in their own language," he explains to the venture-captain.

"It fascinates me. Imagine if we could adapt their technology, traveling by thought alone. Remarkable, isn’t it?" he muses.

"I do wonder, though, where their minds were held during all that time?" he adds, brow furrowing with curiosity.

The Doctor discusses what the lu-venons has been talking to them thru the bands.

He tells about these furry creatures getting the signal from the Gap and the things they did for fear of travelling physically across the space outside.

The Doctor straightens his suit and strides toward Uloa, his eyes fixed with clinical intensity.

“So, you are the lu-venons.” he observes, never breaking eye contact with the furry creature.

“Please enlighten us. What happened here? What happened to you?” he asks, his gaze unwavering as he awaits the answer.

DC 15 Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 vs Psychic Scream (Sucess, 5 mental damage)

The scream is reverberating inside his mind, too much to handle despite keeping his sanity checked. What complicates things now is he is under the influence of no gravity! Nevertheless, The Doctor continues to murmur words of affirmation to appease the emotions.

Now, he has to deal with the microgravity. He pushes the wall next to him to propel him close to Etoile and out of the microgravity's influence.

"Our friends are trying to warn us about another one!" Leopold exclaims across the area for everyone to hear, but it looks like they are already dealing with it.

Leopold shares what he recalls about the creature. "An entity of pure fear, we can easily overwhelm it with other emotions than fear." he adds before something in the mirror mentally assaults him!
DC 16 basic Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 (Crit Success, no damage)

But The Doctor easily steels his mind against it, probably with the help of the band.

He closes in, but as he does so, his mind is flooded with fear from the wails and disturbing emotions!

The emotions are too much, but he tries his best to chant words or reassurance, just like how he does to his patients in the hospital before a major surgery.

The Doctor calculates his next move. The mental assault has been a nice surprise, he thinks. Seeing that his allies and blasting the creature with varied attacks, he considers providing Guidance for Blake and assess what he knows about the enemy.

He then raises his arm to activate the shield of his dermal plating.

Leopold waits for his allies to join him on the platform before willing the wall to make it glow once more.

"This might lead us somewhere."

The Doctor glances back and sees his allies following. Good, he thinks.
Turning his attention to the room itself, he studies the unfamiliar space. Nothing here resembles any room in the hospital.

"Anyone recognizing the purpose of this area?"

"It seems that I can somewhat control something over there!" The Doctor points at whatever is glowing in the area while he keeps the thought of touching the wall. He then proceeds toward it, trying to balance himself when he gets into the slippery ice area.

"Maybe we can communicate with the wall." The Doctor presses his fingertips to the surface, brow furrowed as he tries quite earnestly to think at it.

"There's a mirror near you, wall.
What are we going to do with it at all?"

he muses aloud, half-question, half-song, hoping the wall is the sort to appreciate a rhyme.

As the thought leaves his lips, another snaps into place. If the lu-venons possess psychic talent… then maybe—just maybe—their adorable, fluffy companions outside are the lu-venons themselves.

"What if they are the lu-venons?" he asks, nodding toward the furry friends. "But what happened to them? They don’t exactly look like the sort who’d build all this tech." It might sound blunt, even a touch rude, but he means it to be; sometimes the truth needs a poke to come out.

The Doctor is unfamiliar about the object on the ground near where those bands were hanging.

As for the writing, "It mentions something like Luvoth and lu-venon that is about this planet and people. But where are these people?" he pretends to look around, thinking that these people look humanoid. He continues to read the scripts and describes what is written that their society’s reaction to receiving Triune’s message to the galaxy, and how it led to the world mirror project as detailed in the Adventure Background, confirming what Etoile is reading.

"It does mention anything on what happened after the world mirror’s first activation, and there are no details or depiction of what a lu-venon looks like."

"It looks like our furry friends behind us fear and are curious at this mirror." he notes. With that in mind, The Doctor gets closer to the mirror (B1), he just hopes nothing deadly will happen.

"I feel it too. We should remain alert," The Doctor tells Etoile as he also senses this ominous energies emanating from the mirror. He draws his blade, ready to slice anyone who attacks him.

"If we can fix it, the better." he adds.

"That works for me." The Doctor agrees in finding this snow cave.
