Howdy

Sounds good brvheart! Back from my trip.

Hey hey! :)

No problem brvheart. I'll be around.

Leialoha moves up behind Aurora and brings the ball of electricity up next to him.
Double move. One for myself and one for the ball.

"They are sharks. Undoubtedly in service to their god. I think we should pursue them and finish the fight."
Just a free action to speak, will wait till my turn to act. The one shark should still have a Reflex save before it withdraws unless you already took that into account behind the screen.

And looks like the sharks are on deck...

Leialoha tries summoning a crackling sphere of electricity and rolls it into the shark facing Silas and Oro-Tu.
Casts flaming sphere and uses versatile evocation to switch it from fire to electricity. DC 20 Reflex save for no damage.
Flaming Sphere Damage: 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1, 4) + 4 = 12

No worries. I did draw a corner to intersection line but I'm ok how you've ruled it.

Leialoha narrows his eye at the sight of the sharks, "Where there are sharks, there must be Dajobas. Hold a moment." The wizard pulls a rod out of his belt and sends a ball of electricity flying toward the group of sharks where it bursts in blast catching as many as he can.
Using maximize metamagic rod to cast an empowered fireball and using versatile evocation to change it to electricity. 94 hp of electricity damage. DC 21 Reflex save for half (47 hp).

Greetings!

Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Leialoha casts a light cantrip and letting the warriors take the lead, follows up the tunnel toward the hidden grotto.

Leialoha helps Oro-Tu take a last look around before departing, knowing that the items will be more use to the rest of the group.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

Sure, on we go...

Glad you're back Oro-Tu. Very sorry for your loss.

I'm also partial to a melee fighter, but open to other ideas if something strong comes forward.

Good luck with everything. Its been a lot of fun playing with you and I wish you and your father-in-law well with everything going on.

Laialoha detects magic on everything before continuing.
Spellcraft (chainmail): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (10) + 17 = 27
Spellcraft (dagger): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18
Spellcraft (scimitar): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33
Spellcraft (ivory handled dagger): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29

Leialoha nods agreement and goes with the others to his resting place.

If you have time before the con, do you want to try a performance first Silas? Seems like a good opportunity for that. If it looks like its headed south, I can quickly try the summons!

"I could attempt to summon a lantern archon or hound archon, but we would have to come up with a way for them to breathe underwater. However, they can speak with all creatures."

"No ill intent. I suppose. Look, you'd really rather talk to them. I can be a little unpleasant."
Diplomacy to assist: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17

Might want to pop him with the wand one more time. I have a feeling we'll be needing Brunner and Oro at full health.

Going to wait and see if Silas and Oro-Tu can finish off this last one before casting more spells. I'll hop back in before the creature if it is still up.

I think you missed the part where I used the selective rod although I did somehow manage to call it a selective wand.

Will still plan to cast that intensified burning hands even though one of the gargoyles died.

Total space cadet knowledge roll there. I don't know what I was thinking!
Leialoha draws his selective wand and excluding Aurora and Brunner, he sends another wave of electricity toward the gargoyles. This time setting up his attack so he catches both of them in the cone.
Casts intensified burning hands and uses versatile evocation to turn it from fire to electricity.
Electricity Damage: 8d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 1, 1, 4) + 4 = 23 DC 19 Reflex save for half

Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33
Leialoha moves slightly toward Aurora and sends a cone of electricity toward the kapoacinth to the north of Brunner.
Casts intensified burning hands and uses versatile evocation to turn it from fire to electricity.
Electricity Damage: 8d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 2, 3, 1, 1, 1) + 4 = 24 DC 19 Reflex save for half

"This could be trouble. A medusa might be able to do this underwater. I don't really have any spells to help us unless I summon something to scout."

Leialoha searches his memory for any tales of undersea creatures that do the same.
Knowledge: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22
That'll be for Arcana, Dungeoneering, Local, Nature, Religion or Planes

With waterbreathing on, we ought to be able to use message. Leialoha will go ahead and cast it (unless I'm forgetting a reason it wouldn't work for those of us with water breathing).

I'll go next to last. Right in front of Brunner.

Give it to Brunner then! Underwater dorn dergar, awesome!

"He's dead. Someone wear the f&+&ing cloak."

I'll volunteer to push that idea.

"Perhaps Oro-Tu or Brunner should try Ivar's cloak. That would also allow the water breathing to cover more time for the rest of us."

Leialoha flies back with Uraisa. "Luring them up would be best, but if we need to go in after them we will."

"Temple you all think? Or just a landmark?" Leialoha joins Uraisa over the statue and looks down into the waves.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Leialoha casts fly and begins following the faerie dragon toward where it says the sharks reside.

"I will fly when we have decided on our approach. Lure them to land and I will burn them as they emerge."

"There is more killing to be done. There are sharks on the island. Sharks that walk. Will you hunt them with us or should we make sure you're safely brought to the ship?"

"So we will take his body back and preserve it for a later quest to bring Ivar back? Are we return to the surface and see if we can find the sharks?"

Agree that a new character tied up in lighthouse or washed up by shipwreck is best right now.

I don't like the idea of taking that much downtime at a time when things feel like they're getting pretty urgent for time. I would vote that we temporarily replace Ivar with a new character and at a time when things are less urgent, we could look at a quest to bring him back. I'm not going to make a big deal of it though if they rest of you would rather break now to bring him back.

Ivar, how bad do you want to come back as Ivar versus rolling up a new character. I don't think the proposed ritual is something Leialoha would go for either. Before we go down the difficult route of finding someone (probably well outside the Razor) that can bring you back, it would be good to know if you really want to bring Ivar back or whether we're better to let him rest in peace.

Happy New Year!

Leialoha shakes his head sadly. "It will take powerful magic to bring him back. Perhaps a quest of its own. Such powerful priests are rare in the Razor."

Leialoha continues to delay, hoping the melee will soon be over or that his allies will draw the foes back to make them easier to strike with his spells.

Brains!

Merry Christmas!
