I think went perfectly fine! Player's shouldn't be too critical of their GM, without them, we wouldn't even be able to play!

Grand Lodge

"Kill the workers? Bah! Knocked out some monkies more like. Far as I know, none of them are dead, just a little hammered, and not in the good way." he responds to Nigel.

Grand Lodge

"Sounds good to me!" he says excitedly. "Ah, don't worry about Nigel, we saved his life, and that's what counts. I'm sure someone will untie him in a minute, we've got ale to drink!"

He then looks back to Nigel, "Although, I'd untie you know if you join us, loser pays!" he says with a sly grin barely visible under his helmet.

Grand Lodge

"Oy, manling, looks like of your exhibits went haywire and we the Pathfinder Society had to be called in to save you. Make sure you pass along yer thanks to the Society." Korgan says to the ties up man. He then looks to Uther as he returns to his humanoid form.

"So about that drinking contest, laddy? Where's the best place to get ale around here that isn't watered down?" he says as he begins to walk with Uther out of the exhibit.

Grand Lodge

Korgan keeps pulling, hoping to get his legs free from the vines.

Strength Check, DC 12, Move action: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

"Ah, sod it. Take this!" he says as he hurls his hammer at the idol.

Warhammer Throw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 -4 for in melee
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Grand Lodge

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Korgan gets rooted to the floor as the vines grab his stubby legs. In response, he simply tries yanking his legs out with all his strength.

Strength Check, DC 12, Move Action: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

And he keeps pulling, hoping to break free.

Strength Check, DC 12, Standard Action: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

But he just can't quite rip his legs from the vines.

"Damn plants. This is why us dwarves work with stone." he grumbles.

Grand Lodge

will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

"Hah! Like your foul magics could affect a servant of Torag! Do you see me looking like a monkey over here? And quit ignoring me ugly!"

Korgan moves around, provoking another AoO and then swings his warhammer.

swing: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Grand Lodge

Korgan charges the big monkey and attempts to make a mighty swing at the end.
This should provoke an AoO due to the creature's longer reach

Charge Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 I cannot wait for that Wisdom to hit next level lol.
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

"Well, the bigger they are and all that!"

Grand Lodge

"Well, my hammer is ready. Let's finish this." Korgan says as he takes his usual breaching position by the doors.

Grand Lodge

Korgan trudges along with Grey towards the Grand Hall.

Grand Lodge

"Alright, looks like we need to search somewhere else. I think there is an upstairs to this place, might want to go look there."

He then pauses to think for a minute.

"Looks like nothing too serious so far, I suppose we could take a break and have some guards posted at the main doors to keep this mist inside."

It doesn't seem like time is much of a factor from what we've seen so far if we want to take a rest in Absalom somewhere and come back in order to get your bombs and extracts replenished.

Grand Lodge

"Don't be dying on me manling, I don't need that on my conscience." Korgan says as he administers first aid.

Heal Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Grand Lodge

Warhammer Swing: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 +2 for flank?
Warhammer damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"You two are driving me nuts. Just go down already if you know what's good for ya."

Grand Lodge

Korgan will stomp in and provoke an AoO, then swing his warhammer.

Warhammer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 +2 for flank?
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

"Thanks for the help, now let's take this one down."

Who knew I would have a chance to have a monkey throw poop in my first scenario!

I've heard this scenario can be quite silly even before playing it lol.

Grand Lodge

"Yer right not to be hitting me." he says to Uther with a chuckle.

"I can handle a wee snake myself, I should think."

Warhammer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

The snake must have gotten to those "hard to reach" places it seems as Korgan swings wildly at the air near him.

Grand Lodge

"We doing this the easy way or the hard way, monkey-man?" Korgan asks the cursed employee.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Grand Lodge

"Don't know if I want to drink a gorilla under the table, sounds expensive. Let's hope we get you back to normal before we go to local inn, aye?"

Grand Lodge

"Hear that laughing Uther? My dwarven senses are telling me that the manling we are looking for be in the next room. Seems like he is hiding, and having good fun with it to."

Grand Lodge

"To the next room then?" asks Korgan as he walks towards the door.

Grand Lodge

Korgan looks to grey and signals that he will go right and Grey can go left towards the corner.

Assuming Grey responds back, he will move forward with grey to the far corner.

Grand Lodge

"Let me heal us up before we go smashing in another room."
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Korgan will then take the joint-lead with Grey towards the next location.

Grand Lodge

"Oy, I've got ya manling!"

Warhammer Swing: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Warhammer damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Grand Lodge

Fort save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Grand Lodge

I prefer the one round at a time personally, keeps things from getting too confusing in my opinion.

Grand Lodge

Move up and total defense (+4 dodge AC).

"I'm with ya laddies. Shield wall!"

Grand Lodge

Korgan moved into the room, looks at the masks, and then back at his party.

"What in Torag's name are those!?"

Ready action to attack an enemy that comes in range.

Readied Swing: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Grand Lodge

"You best be getting out of here while we find the source, laddy."

Korgan then stomps toward the next area to try and find the source.

"Doesn't look like we can read that thing anyway, lest you can, manling."

he says over his shoulder toward the museum worker.

Grand Lodge

"Oy laddy, only some of us be the beasts you speak of, and none mean you harm regardless."

Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Grand Lodge

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Grand Lodge

No longer holding his trusty warhammer, but seriously wanting it back, Korgan rushes forward at full power.

Overrun vs right enemy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Trying to get to the square my hammer was thrown to. Overrun rules for reference https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/#TOC-Overrun

Grand Lodge

Riding on his initial charge and wanting to make a quick, decisive attack, Korgan roars as he throws his hammer full force into the closest monkey-man.

Hammer Time: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 vs flat-footed
Hammer Time, Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Hammer Time, Crit confrim: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 vs flat-footed
Hammer Time, Crit Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Grand Lodge

Korgan looks back at his group for confirmation; upon seeing the nods, he returns to face the door.

"Aye, looking like we be ready, Grey... BREACH!" he shouts as he works with Grey to get into the next room.

Grand Lodge

Korgan walks over to Grey's position.

"Aye manling, whenever the group is ready, rather not rush everyone to their doom if they ain't."

Grand Lodge

"Alright laddies, lets take a look see around and see if we can find the source of the evil or these monsters."

Korgan says as he glances around the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

"Oh and let me close up some of them wounds. Let's just get a wee bit away from them critters in case I go an' wake them up, aye?"

Korgan will channel positive energy to heal somewhere 30ft away from the dying/destroyed foes since he doesn't quite know if it'll heal them.
Channel Energy to Heal: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Channel Energy to Heal: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Grand Lodge

Korgan throws his full weight into his blow, hoping it is enough to fell the foul creature.

"Blasted thing, doesn't it know it's already dead! Bah!"

Warhammer Swing: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Warhammer Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Grand Lodge

Korgan rushes to the aid of his fellow agents.

"I'm coming manlings! Let that foul creature taste my hammer!"

Charge attacking.

Warhammer Swing: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Warhammer damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Unfortunately, it appears his stunty legs weren't quite balanced at the end of his charge in time to deliver his hammer blow.

Grand Lodge

Yep, if all your natural attacks are primary attacks, they swing at your full attack bonus. Secondary are at -5 unless you have multiattack and you can still only full attack as a full round action (pounce helps).

Grand Lodge

Seeing his enemy defeated, Korgan races as fast as his stunt legs will carry him to aid his fellow agents.

Double move forward.

Grand Lodge

I didn't think protection from evil would work, but I'm glad our alchemist has his wits about him again. Something about a monkey with bombs didn't seem safe.

Grand Lodge

Looks good to me, thanks for running!

Grand Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

No knowledge skills trained (damn cleric skill points per level lol).

Having just been the target of an attempted attack, Korgan looks at his assailant calmly.

"Well, ain't you ugly"

Warhammer Swing: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 = 14
Warhammer Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Beard Attack: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (1) - 6 = -5
Beard Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Cold Iron

This will probably go terrible for the attack rolls, but I want to use that beard attack at least once lol

Grand Lodge

Seeing the non-verbal communication between Grey and Uther, Korgan will prepare for battle.

Korgan casts protection from evil on our alchemist, which he hopes might help him fight off the corruption. He also whispers a short prayer to Torag for strength in arms and casts bless on the party. Finally, he casts Ironbeard and, well, his beard becomes iron spikes.

2min timer ticking for these buffs.

He then nods at Grey indicating that he is ready, scratching his newly ironed beard at the same time.

Grand Lodge

one of the monkey men has bombs? Oh boy lol

Grand Lodge

While continuing to look forward, Korgan responds to Grey.

"I've no preference for being first, but our path is clear, we must move forward to dispel this taint."

Grand Lodge

"Half-man, aye? I'll be paying you back for that one later manthing. I suppose I'll take the lead then."

Korgan then takes his heavy steps forwards, opens the door, and steps into the museum.

Grand Lodge

Korgan watches Uther's transformation and his shift in personality.

"Aye, watch it uhh...manling. Keep yer head clear lest we have another problem to deal with and I'm still looking forward to that drinking contest."

Grand Lodge

Korgan looks back at his party and spits on the ground.

"Pah! Foul magic, should have known. Looks like we will have to press forward and find the source to end this corruption." he says as he strokes his beard in contemplation.

Grand Lodge

Plan ahead if I have to make the check:
SR 7 if it matters will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Grand Lodge

Korgan looks around at the gathered group.

"Since it looks like we will be working together to solve this problem, I suppose I should tell you a bit about meself. The name is Korgan Stonehammer, Cleric of Torag, Smith of Legend, and the Dwarf that can drink you under the table."
