Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Hey guys, I'm still alive, I'm so sorry, I left on a rather sudden packpacking trip, and haven't been back to the forums since I returned. Koldir was lying in his cabin during the whole storm, so hopefully it hasn't caused major problems- I'll be posting again now if that's alright.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir had been in his cabin since before the storm struck, already airsick before the turbulence. He never left his cabin during the ensuing drama and eventual crash, holding on to his bunk as best he could and using the bed for cushioning when it became clear they were going down.

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

He was flung out of the bunk and across the cabin when the dirigible crashed, but he remained conscious if rather bruised. He stumbles out of the cabin, relieved to be on a solid surface no matter the manner in which he got there. He saves his curing powers for any more seriously wounded he might find, and attempts to search for them.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Ahh, yeah, sorry. I was off being patriotic, here now!

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

I just want to thank all of you internet people for brightening my day with your conversations (or lack thereof...)

And oh dear lord, shipping... that's a phrase on the edge of a deep, deep rabbit hole, friends...

The world of fanfiction both scares and amuses me greatly (my girlfriend is somewhere far off in it). It's staggering to realize that nearly every work of fiction has its own volume several times over in fan-created material.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir, not presently with any of the suspects, simply walks about the airship paying attention to anything out of the ordinary and doing whatever mundane tasks are needed.

He has prepared different spells than usual for his task of finding the traitor.

1st Level Spells Prepared: Eveldine's Truthtelling, Sanctuary, Sleep, Cause Fear.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir, still in somewhat of a dark mood, takes whatever cabin is least full, and pays no mind to the flirting around him.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir, much recovered from his nightmare, is scanning around for any of the three they're watching. He uses a bit of magic to aid himself.

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

As he's keeping an eye out he observes some of the combat training. He has little patience for the true art of combat, as he spends too much time practicing his magical skill. He chuckles, and silently agrees when Endrian talks about the hammer, but then his face grows grim. He puts his attention fully into watching for the three suspects again.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir sits heavily down on the deck, resting his head against the railing. He takes Jevon's pipe gratefully and stares up at the balloon and the night sky beyond as he smokes. After a few somewhat frantic puffs he begins to calm down.

"Thank ye, Jevon. What are ye two doin' out here so late?" Koldir is anxious to get the topic of conversation away from himself.

I don't really know how this dirigible looks/works or how large it is, or whether night would have come yet and stuff, just making stuff up, I can retcon if it's a problem.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir seems surprised that anyone is on deck.

"Ahh... hullo. Aye, I'm alright, couldn't sleep is all. This deathtrap won't stop swayin' in the breeze..." He gives a weak smile.

Perception DC 10:
Koldir is visibly trembling, his eyes are wide and there is sweat on his forehead despite the relatively cool night.

Sense Motive DC 15:
Leylyn especially seems to be making him uncomfortable, and he seems on the verge of panic. Neither of his companions have seen him like this, even during the fight with the spiders or dragon. Something has him very afraid.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Ahaa, thanks. It won't be the last one.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

A girl runs through a crowded street, face red with exertion, hands tightly clutching a loaf of bread to her breast. Guards pursue her, with clanking chainmail and angry eyes. They are too slow and dull to catch the thief. She runs past the merchants and their carts, past the taverns and the whores and the drunkards. She runs until she knows it isn't worth it to follow her, and there she sinks down in an alley, panting but elated.

No… I am done with this...

The day is fading, but her smile is bright as she takes a bite of still-warm bread. Sitting there, smiling at the coming darkness, face still flush from the sprint, she's beautiful.

Why now? It's been years, why now?

She appears lost in her thoughts, but she is paying close attention to the sounds, sights, and smells of the city. All seems silent and still as the hammer comes down on the side of her head. Blood spatters the bread as it falls from her limp fingers. She falls slowly sideways, her eyes wide and her mouth still nearly smiling.

A shadow detaches itself from the wall and stands over her, blood dripping from the weapon in its fist.

No, please…

The shadow looks up. Koldir is frozen to the spot as it steps past him, walking out of the alley and towards his comrades. Jevon pats it on the back, Baster gives it a nod, everyone welcoming it as a friend. As they leave, Leylyn looks over her shoulder, laughing. She has the same bright smile as the girl with the bread.

Koldir lunges forward with all his strength, and falls from the dirigible, the walls of the alley melting away as he hurtles towards the trees far below.

As he hits the ground he wakes in a cold sweat, lying on his cot in the airship. The darkness is suffocating and terrifying; he gets up and walks to the observation deck to clear his head.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

"Och, surely we don't need nine people to watch three? I'm not trustin' myself to that air ship... could be brought down by a single arrow... If I liked heights I'd be taller!"

Koldir continues muttering to himself about the dirigible.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

I heartily recommend it. The author has had a lot of direct influence with the production of the show. It's got movie-level budget, and since it's so long they don't need to cut much at all from the story. What Leon said.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

*
I was hoping for a night's sleep before the you-know-what hits the other you-know-what, but I'm certainly ready for whatever and what not.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

I'm very sorry guys, my internet got shut off due to me torrenting Game of Thrones, and I haven't been much online since then, but I'm still alive and here now!

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Seeing as that wasn't in ooc chat I'm thinking that was just Endrian bein' paladinly, and not an actual issue with the language being used by us the players. I could be wrong though.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir may have left before his companions, but if not he is on the side of leaving.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Terribly sorry everyone, I just returned from NYC and crashed out for a long while.

To Baster, discussing the hammer:

Koldir doesn't answer Baster immediately, his eyes on his new weapon as he walks away. "I will be fine, Ser Baster. I'm sure yer no stranger to the stories o' the mind. I'm simply doin' some rememberin' right now."

To Jevon, in the tavern:

"Ahaha... don' worry about it. Koldir gratefully accepts the wine. "It was arrogant o' me to even bother hidin' the name in the first place, there's not a one here who's heard o' me anyhow." He drinks deeply, completely draining his cup...

Fortitude Save for alchohol: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

though none of the alcohol he has drunk thus far seems to have made even the slightest difference in the dwarf.

Hmm... ye mean the man ye all so kindly rescued from the evil nobles?" There is a definite tone of bitterness in Koldir's voice. "He had an odd pendant on, 'specially for one so raggedy-lookin'." Koldir grabs some charcoal from the fire and has begun to sketch out the shape of the necklace...

Perception to notice Baster's gaze: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

when he notices Baster staring at him from across the room, clearly not in a friendly way.

Sense Motive on Baster: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Koldir stares into Baster's eyes.

He's angry... And he's afraid of something. Fear is nearly always the source of anger, but fear of what? Me? Himself? He's caused a scene before, and he's drunker now...

Koldir's hand tightens on his new hammer below the table, and he prepares to force Baster into slumber if necessary. It's soon clear, however, that Baster is perfectly capable of doing that himself. Koldir finishes showing the symbol to Jevon, and leaves the bar with the rest of the party. If nobody engages him in conversation he rides back alone, though he is content to respond.

If there's anything else that Koldir might have noticed from the Perception or Sense Motive checks, let me know.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Although he wasn't part of the whole noble/peasant altercation, Koldir was nearby, so I'll make a perception check just in case.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

Koldir does notice the pendant, and although it's not standard peasant jewelry, it does stand out and he makes a mental note of it.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Also, Endrian, though I don't think you can buy that bow anyways, a reminder that if you don't have the strength bonus necessary for a composite bow you take a -2 penalty on attack rolls.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

In Town:

Koldir doesn't pay any mind to the well-dressed bullies as he passes them by. He's seen far too many similar situations, most of them far more brutal, to feel particularly sympathetic. He knows that far more terrible and less public crimes happen each day, with no one there to prevent them. In his view, stopping to 'save' a man, who crosses those with more power than he, is a useless gesture, not only interfering with the state of the world, but encouraging the disadvantaged to rely on others instead of becoming strong themselves. Having grown up on the streets, and survived similar injustices, he does harbor resentment towards the upper class, but this is not his fight.

After Shopping:

Koldir grins up at Baster, hefting the new hammer. "Aye, that it is." he says fondly, "Haven't decided on a name fer it yet though. It should be a good one... a name is an important thing..." He trails off, looking at the hammer's black surface.

I've no reason to distrust any of my new companions. Is it so hard to simply have friends and brothers-in-arms without checking for knives in every hand and plots behind every pair of eyes? Why should they not know my name? They've given me no reason to doubt them.

Koldir's face grows dark as he stares at the hammer.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

At that point I don't believe he was being stealthy anymore, he had rejoined the group, and the dragon was right next to him breathing on his face. It's true he didn't respond though, so it's possible nobody knew what Jevon was talking about.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Yes, it is. Also a question for everyone, who heard Jevon shout 'Koldir' during the fight with the dragon?

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir travels quietly to town on the smallest horse he can find, unwilling to be up too high. It seems that his companions haven't payed much notice to Jevon shouting his true name, and he doesn't bring it up himself as they ride. Once there he sells his old armor, shield, and warhammer, purchasing and newer weapon and shield, each of fine craftsmanship.

Koldir's new hammer is painted black as night, with curving designs and twisting runes running up the handle and around the middle of the head. The shield is plain, without crest or design on any part of it, a polished piece of metal; thick, sturdy, and flawless.

After his initial purchases Koldir remembers an item he had seen once on the street, an item he had been wanting but never had the money to buy. He makes a trip to the sort of shop that keeps in stock magical and extraordinary gear. Although a town such as this doesn't carry particularly powerful magic, Koldir is looking for a very specific, and rather small item. He finds what he is looking for, one of the most expensive things available in the town, and takes great pride in purchasing it legally. He also gets a slightly less expensive item of a similar nature. Realizing that together they are a bit too expensive, he sells his bloodblock, hoping he won't regret the decision. When he returns to the rest of the party he has no visible new gear with him, but his wallet is entirely empty.

I took some creative license with the appearance of the purchased items, hopefully that's alright- if I'm shelling out for masterwork hopefully they can make the stuff a bit pretty :P

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Sorry for lack of posting, I was attempting to get a job, which I now have! Huzzah!

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Alright, so we've each got a cool 1,000 gp to spend. I'm thinking we should each simply take the 1,000 and use it for whatever we want, and if anyone wants more than that to RP it with the rest of the group. Is there anyone who feels they could benefit more than the rest of us from something expensive?

EDIT: Thinking about this a bit more, there's some stuff that might really benefit us as a party, such as a wand of Cure Light Wounds (aww nevermind, that's 750gp). Perhaps we can all use a bit less and get some group resources as well though.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

I'm playing a cavalier (gendarme) right now for We Be Goblins, and at first level as a small creature he can attack at +8 for 2d6+8 on a challenge-charge-ride-by-attack, not even counting his wolf's charge and bite. They are an extremely fun class, and come built in with RPing stuff what with the orders. :D

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Now I'm thinking about evil monk-clerics who use spontaneous inflict spells... The wisdom also has more synergy with monk, although there's a wildblooded sorcerer archetype that uses Wis as its casting stat...

The only problem with this tactic is its requires two standard (or one standard and one full-round) actions in order to get one hit in, albeit a cool one (that's where magi have the advantage with touch spells). In a situation like we just saw where there's a round to prep though, it's certainly very very cool and at least decently powerful.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

High five for doing as much damage as everyone else so far combined :D

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Yeah, that 18 damage scared me, that'd put me at 1 hp :o

Reflex Save for dragon's fire: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

Koldir lunges sideways as the dragon's breath approaches, doing his best to escape the worse of the heat.

Dropping his crossbow, Koldir roars back at the fiery beast.

If Koldir has taken 5 or more points of damage he will cast CLW on himself (since it didn't seem as though anyone else took it earlier), and split himself into two parts. If he doesn't take 5 or more damage he will split into two and then draw his warhammer and shield, bemoaning the lack of his new and shiny breastplate, as well as the fact that he's already used Obscuring Mist today.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Aye, lightning fists wins due to rule of cool *and* I think RAW on this one. All is good, and it's good that Koldir didn't take 18 damage, and it's also good Jevon yelled out his real name, since I was trying to figure out a way to work that in without telling everybody one at a time...

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Jevon, since nobody else ever mentioned wounds, and Koldir used CLW on someone when he ran back towards the party, we can assume that was you unless someone else has worse injuries and speaks up.

EDIT: Nevermind, that damage was taken *after* the CLW... was anyone injured though? Speak up if you were, so I can keep track of my spells :P

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Round 1
Initiative: 11

Koldir, cursing himself silently for using up so many of his spells, loads his crossbow and fires it at the beast, but his bolt goes wild.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4

Jevon, that was inspired.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

And here's *another* article on illusions with arguing!

As I understand it you can indeed get a saving throw from sight only, provided you're explicitly "examining" the object or creatures, and using actions / possibly perception checks to do so, but if you don't take that action (which would likely require good reason), then you don't get a save. In the case of the Aldus-headed thing, if someone looked at it and went "Hmm, is this an illusion?" And proceeded examine it for anything illusory, they would receive a saving throw...

All of that said (gosh it's fun to talk about rules!) I don't think there's much point in figuring this out among ourselves, Matt should probably just make a call here, and we should all go with that, regardless of our personal interpretations.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir, seeing the beast clearly for the first time, hurries back towards his comrades. "Is anyone injured? Does anyone need a dose o' healin'?" If one or two of his allies need aid he will substitute his Sleep spell for a Cure Light Wounds spell on the one who needs it most, if more than three allies have taken damage, he will channel positive energy to anyone within 30 ft. of him.

Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Channel Positive Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Agreeing with Aldus, I'm pretty sure paying attention alone doesn't count as interaction, or there would be little point in the spell at all. If you attack the beast though, you'd get a save.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

@Aldus, good point on the silent image check, although Ghost sound is automatically saved for if heard, and I'm assuming if Koldir noticed that half of the spectacle was false he'd examine the monster further. I'm pretty sure if one specifically tries to tell whether or not something is an illusion, if they have reason to suspect, that they get a save against it.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Will save for Silent image: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Will save for Ghost Sound: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

If Koldir can see the monstrosities, he doesn't believe them, but does appreciate what is clearly Aldus's handiwork.

Koldir looks around to see the reaction to the new beast. He readies an action to strike fear into the heart of any who tries to tell his comrades the beast is an illusion.

readying Cause Fear DC 15, -1 penalty on the Will save if the target is currently affected by Bane.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

I second Leon's approval!

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

If Koldir has not yet been noticed by the snipers, and if there is a suitable place between them and the main group, he will break cover and dash between the archers and Leon's wagon as fast as his short legs will allow, casting Obscuring Mist when directly between the groups, before attempting to fade back into the darkness/mist.

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir will, as quickly and quietly as he is able, make his way towards the snipers. When he is within range of as many as possible, he raises his hands and lowers them each palm down, sending out a shockwave of bad energy towards the men around him.

Casting Bane, DC 15.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Awakening quickly, Koldir listens intently for a moment, then grabs his crossbow, slinging his shield, pack, and warhammer onto his back, before giving his new suit of armor a wistful glance and running out of Jevon's tent, seeking the darkest area he can. When he hears Leon he makes a point to follow the noble's voice, but to keep his distance, hoping to use the rallying point as a distraction. He whispers a short incantation as he slinks through the mist, unencumbered by his usual armor. He loads his crossbow as he moves.

Casting Guidance
Stealth (Guidance): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Perception to see dangers or targets: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Koldir has darkvision, but I'm assuming it's both dark and misty, so visibility is still poor.

EDIT: But not with that perception check!

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

I too went with PFS hp as well. And lemme know 'bout that mwk. armor vs. weapon.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

But it makes so much sense! Tim is already going to be an enchanter!

Ahh, Matt, in terms of leveling, do we roll for hp or use the PFS advancement or what? I'm partial to some sort of fixed hp since I've rolled a 1 three levels in a row on a fighter before, but whatever be boat-floatin.

I'm so happy that I have a non-level 1 character :3

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

*And there was much rejoicing*

Koldir, after enjoying a pleasant smoke with Jevon, takes some time to wander among the men by himself, seeing if he catches anything important from the snippets of conversation around campfires and within tents.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

When he meets Pelemynn he thanks the captain heartily, and chooses a fine new looking hammer from the 'armory'. Pleased with his new toy, he sets off to wreak havoc on unsuspecting shrubbery in order to break it in.

EDIT: If, by any chance, Pelemynn has a masterwork breastplate lying about, Koldir would take that over a warhammer, but assuming weapons he likes the smasher.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir, still in a fairly cheery mood, accepts Jevon's offer of a smoke. "Aye, you'd have been trussed up 'n eaten if not for that noble n' I. You know anything about him? Baster? He's a strange one... though aren't we all..."

Baster wasn't wrong about following Jevon though, I'm glad he had the idea, I doubt I'd have gone otherwise. Whatever else he may be, he's helped this expedition.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Oh, I was certainly not advocating USING the WBL guidelines, seriously, I just wanted to make sure to remind about them. It sometimes occurs if moving off of them that encounters based on pre-genned tables don't work as well/are as challenging, but in cases when you aren't WBLing I'd assume you can ad hoc some rewards/challenges :P

The only reason I actually brought it up was I was just using the WBL chart to create a rewards system for a Pathfinder Arena, which I'm currently writing up ruleses for. I think it shall be great fun, although not as much roelpaying goodness :D

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Oh god yes for the higher level idea, I'm sick of playing all first level campaigns that advance like molasses >.<; there are so many fun character concepts that don't become very fun or viable until past the really low levels. Want want want.

Male Dwarf Cleric 2, [hp 19][AC 20][CMD 15][Fortitude +5][Reflex +2][Will +7][Initiative +4][Perception +10]

Koldir happily retreats from the spider-infested area, he had no quarrel with them in the first place, and certainly doesn't intend to try to set a forrest fire, even during rain.

"Endrian, if ye don't mind I'll take that repellent back now. Glad you were alright without it, those swarms can be nasty."

As for advancement, Koldir will be staying a cleric for the foreseeable future. We didn't happen to find any extremely valuable magical items in the spider webs, did we?
