I'm going to risk the bad karma of saying it seems like things are finally starting to stabilize with the site again... are we all still around?

Kern participates only as much as is absolutely required, not relishing the cannibalistic rituals in any fashion. He nibbles a small chunk of the meat that is offered to him, nearly gagging knowing from whence it came, but he allows Grell and Razorbeak to finish his portion, granting them strength. The next morning, he goes to the leatherworkers, knowing that the skins of the giantess is being crafted into something. He is curious what that might be.

I'm taking the Horde Charge teamwork feat. I automatically grant its benefits to my kitty, and she doesn't need to meet the pre-reqs. :-D New HP: 70
GRELL INCREASES TO LARGE NATURALLY!!!
Kern five-foots steps to gain flanking with Ozak, then he and Grell continue to hound the giantess, hoping to finish her off as quickly as possible.
Kern and Grell rip into the giantess, hoping to take her to the ground before she can rend them with her two axes.
Kern and Grell charge at the Giant queen, hoping to take her out quickly before she eviscerates their chieftan.
"Our chief is injured! Focus on the ugly bi&*h!"
Kern ducks his dead in a quick bow to Thoku, not having meant to speak out of turn. He had only hoped to spare mighty Thoku from deigning to speak to such creatures with his own voice.
Kern points toward one of the orcs flanking the giantess. "You can see by our forms that our tribe is vastly superior. Surrender, or better yet, turn on that barbaric creature, and your lives will be spared... the great Thoku may even deign to make you members of the tribe instead of simply slaves." To punctuate this, Grell lets out a thundrous roar.
We are doing as orcs should. Kern will continue to be the voice of reason, and continue to be drowned out by bloodlust, as it should be. LOL
Kern shrugs. The tribe would win the fight, he had no doubt, but it may have been an easier fight if the two factions were allowed to war with each other first. No matter. "Lead on to battle, my chief," he says.
"Very. We could probably use this information to our advantage. If nothing else, we know that the Storm Tyrant believes himself to be above the station of the chieftan of the Twisted Hearts..."
Kern points out the notes. "I do not read the language of these creatures. Choot, have you studied their vulgar tongue?"
Kern rolls his eyes at Ozak's horrible joke, and readies to continue exploring the fort.
"I concur with Choot. They could be freed and allowed to attack our flank while we deal with others. They should be ended now." Kern waits for his chief's word before taking any brash action, unlike Choot, however.
Kern grunts a negative to Choot, and points across. "That way seems the right of it to this one."
Kern and Grell attack the giant with abandon.
So, my flight for Seattle leaves tomorrow at 1:30 PM. I expect I'll make one more major update to all my games tomorrow morning, and then will be on and off at best through Monday night. PAIZOCON!!!
"Grell, flank." says Kern, and the warcat does as it's told, racing through the legs of Kern and the giants alike to get behind the nearest giant.
Then Kern attacks with his mighty axe.
Kern nods at the creature, and gestures for it to move aside. "Stay here. Guard our rears. If you are not here when we return, we will hunt you." He then waits for his chief to lead the group downward.
Kern looks down at the weakened Ogre. "I suggest you surrender, and agree to become a slave. I guarantee you, that is the only way you will live."
Kern jumps from his chief's back and swings his axe at the nearest ogre still alive.
@Thoku: Good to hear that you'll be out of the fray, after all that you've been through. We're happy to wait as long as needed for you to get things in order.

Kern continues to hold on tight to his chief's armor, ready to fight the moment he arrives at the top.
Kern draws his axe as Thoku bears down on the giants, and steels himself to attack them the moment he can get there. Razorbeak flies next to Thoku, ready to pounce on an enemy.
With Thoku being weighed down, Kern pulls out his bow, holding onto Thoku with his legs, and fires a shot at one of the archers.
In that case, Kern grabs on to chief Thoku. "Grell, stand guard over those two. Razorbeak, with me," Razorbeak flies along next to Thoku as he ascends.
Kern looks at Choot. "Can you grant me flight, shaman?"
So, did everyone see that announcement today? I for one am excited... if a bit afraid as well. LOL
Just so everyone knows, I'll be on a work trip to Las Vegas from tomorrow though Friday, so I'll be posting a little bit less than normal but I will still definitely be posting at least once per day.

Kern and Grell continue to wail on the ogre they're flanking.
Grell rushes forward and around the giant, attempting to flank. She likely takes an AOO from at least one giant, unfortunately.
Then Big-Kern speaks the command word to his armor, giving himself DR 5/good, then steps past his allies and swings at the nearest giant.
Seeing the ogres running at them, Kern barks orders to his two companions.
Orc: "If we can challenge only the leader for dominance, we will gain more warriors."
"To the tower, then." Kern says. |
