Kentalla goes to retrieve her two arrows she shot just incase she has a chance to reuse any aspect of them for new arrows. She also searches the fleeing creature, if its not already been done. If there is no one claiming the items she will slide on of the bone daggers into her belt and snag a short spear and begins to use it as a walking stick.
Survival to find/save them?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Now
Walking up to Grotbaard, Kentalla puts a hand on his shoulder. “I am sorry about the loss of your mount.”

When Grotbaard hands Kentalla the shiny short sword she examines the jagged razor edge and the balance of it. “Thank you! I have not seen a sword like this before, what is it made from and where did you find such a weapon?”

Seeing the one run off Kentalla takes aim and fires off a shot. “We don’t want to let that one flee, who knows what trouble it will bring to us.”

Kentalla steps back and takes aim and lets loose an arrow.

Turning to whoever is standing next to her, Kentalla says quietly; “This guy is forcing our hand to act before thanking... I don’t know why but he makes me uneasy. Hasty actions can get us killed.”

Hearing the noise come from behind, Kentalla draws her bow and begins to move towards the door that Grotbaard went through. She is waiting for something to appear and then she will let an arrow fly.

If something appears:

Unsure of what to do in this situation Kentalla has her bow at the ready to fire at any of those creatures that appear, or at the dwarf if things go sideways.

“At this point we all need to get out. He was a prisoner here and I do not intend on becoming one. Grotbaard lead the way.”

Its not that she doesn’t trust this dwarf, but she doesn’t trust new people from the wilds. She walks forward with the key in her hands and takes in what he is saying and tries to pick the truth out of it.

Whispering to the party; “Hang on for one second, let me go check on that dwarf and see if hes alive or near death.” If everything looks to be clear she stealths her way over to the dwarf, trying to not bring attention to hear.

Once there, she looks over the dwarf to see what kind of condition he is in. She does a heal check on the dwarf.

I want to apologize to the group for my absence. I am a ministry leader at my church and since Wednesday I had 3 full days of youth ministry events. I don’t know how it slipped my mind to say something letting everyone know that I would be away. It will not happen again.

While everyone is rushing towards the door, Kentalla begins to make her way slowing down the tunnel.

This means I am second in line? As a ranged character I am fine as long as im not first, but if there is a melee character that wants to be closer I can switch them spots.

With the help of the light spell Kentalla begins to go in following the group. She keeps an eye out mostly around the tail end of the group. Looking around for how strong this structure is, and how long it has been since it was built.

She draws her bow and has an arrow at the ready if need be.

Looking around at what is going on, Kentalla begins to push up to the door. “Maybe we should at least knock?” Kentalla knocks twice on the door using the butt end of her bow for a bit of distance from the door.

Kentalla stumbles from the worm erupting from the ground and falls. Filled with fear she quikly gets up and scans the cliff wall ahead. Spotting a a crevice in the side she shouts to the group and points; “There!! Just ahead. Run for that crevice! We can make it before that worm is done eating.”

Kentalla takes off and enters the opening.

Nature or Geography? They are the same modifier: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24<-YES!
Basically with this roll I want to know what kinds of things could be living in this opening.

Hey everyone. I wanted to check in and let you all know I might be hit or miss for the next 24-48 hours. My wife is having surgery, nothing major just an outpatient thing, and I might not be able to check it as frequently as I would like.

Kentalla looks around to see what Kasha is seeing but becomes concerned with whatever is happening with the ground. Has there been earthquake activity here before?

Using that Nature roll I want to know if I would know about it picking up on us more as soon as we take off in a full sprint?

“Kasha, what do you see? If there is something else coming we need to get to safer ground. Hopefully they will fight eachother.”

Shaking her head Kentalla says; “If we were going to attack it, that should have happened while it was being distracted while it was killing the elf. Now we flee!” Kentalla crouches low and darts towards the end of the yard.

Jogging up to meet up with those around her, Kentalla stops and nods to those around her. “It is a nice night. The heat was brutal today while scouting. Being out there during the day is a slow process, but its better than going out alone at night when there are predators about.”

Kentalla checks over her equipment. With a sigh she things to herself; Only ten arrows.... I am going to keep my eyes open for materials to make more.

Kentalla is a short girl on the verge of womanhood. She stands just over 5 feet with tanned olive skin. Her long brown hair is pulled back tight into a long braid that is slung over her shoulder.

As far as peoples interest. I have seen a large swing of people starting and doing AP/Modules on here. I think that people don’t want to “run the risk” of a homebrew because of the unknown. People know that Runelords or Kingmaker are great fun...

I love homebrew games over APs because DMs are more likely to build our concepts into the game.

I just realized that arrows fall under the Craft-Bow department, so I am switching it to that. Just an update.

Do you allow the Haleen Trait?

Finding Haleen:

Benefit: This class is always a favored class to you, and your dedication to it is such that every time you take a level in the class, you gain +1 hit point and 1 additional skill point over and above what you would normally gain. If multiple PCs take this trait, they should be siblings who were both protected and raised by Haleen.


The sun is beating down on her. Her sweat is causing her close to cling to her body. She would wear less, but the sun can be worse than the extra head from her clothing. Head to toe she is covered. Tall boots, pants, a long sleeved shirt over her tank, and a head wrapping.

Looking back towards “The Yard,” she judges how far she has gone, and how far she can continue to go before it is to late to reach home before nightfall. She lowers her face covering and pulls out her waterskin. She takes small short sips and savors every drop of the water. She closes her eyes and thinks of the place in her dreams.

Coming back to the dry dead reality of this land, she puts away her waterskin and covers her face back up to press on. She knows she can travel a few more hours before needing to turn back.

Here is my submission. Kentalla, Human Ranger. I decided to go with this over the Desert Druid because I wanted her to be more skilled base and didn’t exactly need the spells for the concept. I have all the math done on her link, and within is a short background and description.

I am a GM on a PBP game on here, so I am active daily. You can follow her link to my alias and find GM RelicBlackOUT.

I have two questions:
1) The craft skill. Is this a free rank kind of thing or do we need to have at least one of our skills used towards it? I am fine either way. Also, I went with craft-Fletching/arrows. Would it be possible for me to do a craft check to start with more than 10?

2) How do you do initiative when it comes to combat? Do you do Initiative?

I am still deciding on my trait, unsure on where I want to go with that.
