GM is in a tough spot for posting and is very spotty but when she comes back to the States it should be more consistent. Anyone can join but it may take a while.


Well currently the game is on pause while the GM is not able to get the most stable internet connection as she is studying abroad for the time being. Once the game resumes though anything is possible!

I was thinking that keeping a higher leveled person behind encase an attack does happen upon them.

"How about a day's journey out and then come back the next. That way we can survey a part of this land and stay within a distance of the inn."

Over Dinner if it has already happened.:

"Mistress Farja I was on the front lines of the Lastwall line against the horde of Orcs. I heard the Orc's battle cry and saw them starting to charge the line. I was readying myself for a very brutal fight and then I felt like I was falling. When I landed I was here with these two talking."

He points at Max and Xarl at the end of his sentence.

"So I guess I will stay here with the little ones or should I go with the Hellknight and Paladin, though it doesn't seem like they would need my help."

I tried to give a little bit more credit to the "superior" gender. After all we do try to get them interested in the subjects we are interested and I'm sure that is how Trout got introduced into the world that is D&D/Pathfinder (or where ever she started).


I think that 80% of the female characters made in these types of games are guys playing them...

Trout I am going mad from having a useless feat unless I can talk to stuff... It is basically a taunt in mmo's it is to keep the lower leveled people alive in fights. Antagonize what it does is:

Whether with biting remarks or hurtful words, you are adept at making creatures angry with you.

Benefit: You can make Diplomacy and Intimidate checks to make creatures respond to you with hostility. No matter which skill you use, antagonizing a creature takes a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity, and has a DC equal to 10+ the target's Hit Dice + the target's Wisdom modifier. You cannot make this check against a creature that does not understand you or has an Intelligence score of 3 or lower. Before you make these checks, you may make a Sense Motive check (DC 20) as a swift action to gain an insight bonus on these Diplomacy or Intimitade checks equal to your Charisma bonus until the end of your next turn. The benefits you gain for this check depend on the skill you use. This is a mind-affecting effect.

Diplomacy: You fluster your enemy. For the next minute, the target takes a –2 penalty on all attacks rolls made against creatures other than you and has a 10% spell failure chance on all spells that do not target you or that have you within their area of effect.

Intimidate: The creature flies into a rage. On its next turn, the target must attempt to make a melee attack against you, make a ranged attack against you, target you with a spell, or include you in the area of a spell. The effect ends if the creature is prevented from attacking you or attempting to do so would harm it (for example, if you are on the other side of a chasm or a wall of fire). If it cannot attack you on its turn, you may make the check again as an immediate action to extend the effect for 1 round (but cannot extend it thereafter). The effect ends as soon as the creature attacks you. Once you have targeted a creature with this ability, you cannot target it again for 1 day.

Now as I have no ranks in Diplomacy and can't use it while raged anyway Intimidate will be my go to thing.

While everyone is searching the rooms Kenith is cleaning his shield using his gear maintenance kit, and he waits for Max to return from hunting so that he may cook the quarry. I figured this would be the best option because in my other PbP I'm getting lousy rolls and thought that it would be better for me not to be in anyone's way for fighting.

If answer is yes:
Kenith bashes Max in hops to get the bugs.

Bash Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
What would the fire damage be? 1d4 or 1d6?

If answer is no:

Kenith will comply with whatever Max tells him to do... I'm off to bed good night!

An Ioun Torch gives off the same amount of light as a normal torch. It is a floating rock with Continual Flame cast on it. Or do you just want the normal Torch for a heat source?

Oh and if you are looking for a reason why a Dwarf has an Ioun Torch... I forgot the character was a Dwarf as I was frantically looking through stuff to buy on d20... It was cheep and provides light without needing to hold it. Back story reason: Kenith traveled with a lot of different races before ending up here and not many shared his same visual prowess so he figured that it would be better if he helped them see in the dark any way possible. Regrettably he had just given a lot of Ioun Torches to the other people in his particular group before the fighting of the Orcs and that was his last one.
