"I could have jury-rigged something like a metal sheet attached to a pole with a leather edge to push them away"She says before she watches Fargus push stuff away and shakes her head. 'Also it was A GNOME idea first' She says with a playful bit of sticking her tongue out before she follows notching another arrow just incase
"True, and yet both can lead to glory or death, or both." Joxi says slipping to the side to hopefully be free of the possible errant trap to not get her too. "Me I like to be cautious and well do that thing we all should like to do..called breathing!" She says with a bit of sass her bow and arrow ready to fire just in case.
Joxi intakes air making a slight whistle before she speaks."Well, these goblins must have had one helluva dinner party!" she says as she looks to the others. "So do you step into the remains of a slaughter or do we walk through it? I doubt you all want to turn around I mean right. I know I don't, besides look at that tower, I mean its just begging for us to see whats in it, like those ladies who sing to lure you in. Can't remember what they were called. I read it in my Granduncles library, something-something Ren? No that's not right, is it? Oh well, so which one?" She said quickly her curiosity getting the better of her. Something that sadly the gnome had yet to curb or temper at times like this.
"The local fare my good tavern keep! I'd love to taste the flavor of the local spirit." She says with a smile as she looks to her party members."So my fellow travellers aside from this interest in the Sunless Citadel what do we call ourselves or do we have some goal in mind?" She asks climbing onto a chair.
"Kobolds are pesky little bastards!" Joxi says putting her bow back to where it belongs. "Once fought a Kobold at my village once, they tried to take our mine. Thought it would be a good place to plot and scheme against all us good folk. Instead, it just leads to there doom. Them Kobolds will never learn to try and encrouch into our lands. Dumb reptiles" she says followed by a spit and a weird hand gesture over her heart.
"Hello Shara, Hi Evita. Sorry about the orcs. I am Joxi Wigglefits, a storyteller. Here." Joxi introduces herself and hands Shara a dagger or two and some slings. "Take these. The road is dangerous and you always need something to try and defend yourself." She says as she even hands one to Evita and smiles as she uses a bit of magic to pull a coin from behind the girl's ear.
Joxi eyes the girl strangely then shakes it off. She notes the odd behavior but smiles anyways knowing that she has to have aid in this endeavor. "So to those who are more familiar with this trek from here to Oakhurst, pray tell what sorts of dangers may we encounter?" She asks curiously seeking to get as much information as possible so she can be prepared.
"Well seems we are heading the same direction and who doesn't love travel companions, Am I right. I mean the road is boring when you have no one to talk to or swap stories, Right?" She says with a smile from below the lip of the table. "I don't know if you heard but the names Joxi, I am a teller of tales and singer of songs! A walking gnomicipedia of weird and esoteric knowledge. At least that is what I will become with a little more experience." She says earnestly
"Well hello there maid, I must ask what do you recommend, anything bubbly? I do love a drink with bubbles as it tickles the nose along with the tongue! You should try it"She says with a merry smile and warm cheeks. Which was always a great cover for a gnome. "What say you fine sirs, any recommendations?Wait are you not drinking drinks with bubbles? You should have bubbles!" She says cheerfully. Which was always her default setting
