And fires an arrow at the zombie, though it isn't having as much of an effect as he'd like.

Josef is about to heal Clebsch, but Granny beats him to it.
More healing magic wouldn't hurt, and might double as an effective offense, but he doesn't want to hurt Niccolo...

So instead he continues focusing on offensive magic to try to hinder their ability to inflict more damage. And also arrows.

There's a boon you can get once a character has played two sessions that is free and grants a free wayfinder. Get that one once you're eligible.

A young half-orc looks over the note as he acknowledges the other Pathfinders.

In addition to his wayfinder, he wears the symbol of Erastil and carries a longbow and a set of medical tools. "I'm Josef," he says, "a healer."

Josef looks Granny over curiously and raises an eyebrow. "I think we're supposed to be helping him."

Is Granny hiding the fact that she's undead, or should I have an emergency harm?

Josef hurries over to the other side of the building and looses another arrow. He's way too close, but it brings the melee combatants into his spell.

He then fires upon the thug threatening the little sprite.

Mentor Boons don't actually have a level requirement, it's a reputation requirement--liked by a faction, so 20 with one faction.

But XP and reputation correlate, so most characters qualify somewhere late level 2.

I thought Josef was a good fit thematically, plus a Cleric to go with all those martials, but I could switch to a level 1 to keep us low tier if that's easier. Or to a character with a Mentor Boon.

Incidently, MAP means that a lot of people plan other things for their 3rd action - moving, intimidating, shield-raising...

At first level Josef doesn't have that many prepared spells anyway, but it's why I'm planning on avoiding attack roll spells with him. Even as a cloistered cleric he does get the one martial weapon proficiency, and he's using it.

His attack bonus isn't fantastic, but it's better than most martial characters' second attack so it's not nothing. In rounds where he doesn't have to move (or has to move twice and so can't cast a spell anyway, which is the one that came up here), getting a shot in is just a bonus for him--as long as he doesn't cast a spell that uses an attack roll and increases MAP.

Josef winces. The danger was inside, and he's dramatically failed his promise to keep watch.

He dashes into the cave, seeing Bitty Blue down and too far to heal her. He moves carefully towards her, and takes a shot at the hostile with his bow as he tries to draw her attention. "We know perfectly well that you're the thief here," he says with more confidence than he feels.
