Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
Hugo takes the punch to the face and spits some blood out onto the floor, "It appears the fight has finally begun." Implying that the fight hadn't begun until right this instant, which would have made much more sense if there was any sort of banter between his opponent and him.
Still internally hitting himself for the terrible one-liner, he goes to sweep at the lumberjack.
Violence (Muscle): 2d6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (4, 1) + 2 - 1 = 6
And naturally, Hugo is unable to land a sweep on the Lumbering Jack, due to him being so used to riding on logs.
"Well then. Guess I need to change my strategy."
He wasn't a bad fighter, he certainly had the physicality for it, but later on he would be swearing that the fight choreographer just gave him bad tips... Everyone else would know that Johnny Hollywood was notorious for improvising lines that weren't any good and fight maneuvers which were also not very good.

Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
Johnny Hollywood only ever had the most respect for Brooke and Chris, but Hugo... He was a different man. The script called for Hugo to get distracted by the eye contact while he was fighting his opponent, but that didn't stick; despite Johnny's less than sharp head he knew his image would make that look ridiculous so they came to a compromise.
The scene cuts quickly to flashes of Clara and Hugo riding the rides at the carnival, scenes that were used in the original opening that were cut It would be an ongoing joke by the crowds that John Snowstorm would be added into these scenes in post during the Blood Fist II MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL 2000's re-release. Eventually it reaches a point where the two are supposed to kiss and instead of a Clara...
A giant fist sucker punches him.
Hugo shakes his head and sizes up his opponent, a man named Lumbering Jack. He's clearly some Canadian stereotype with a giant beard and plaid everything, which is shocking considering the heat and for some reason he has an axe.
This doesn't phase Hugo who cracks his knuckles and lets off a one-liner, "We're in America buddy, it's time to bear these arms."
Swagger: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 = 6
He really shouldn't try to improvise and the usual sound of the script writer smacking their head with a clipboard is heard.
"I don't get it." "Why did it focus on the axe?" "Was he supposed to have a bear or something because it was a circus?" "That was really tone-deaf."

"With legs like these, we will make it to the carnival sign up in time." Which is totally obvious as it is no more than 10 or so feet away. Hugo shakes his head at the two of his companions before heading over to the barker. "Baddest dude? Please. There's nothing more bad than staying in school and saying no to drugs." The camera pans over to his face and it zooms in just enough to get the thumbs up and smile at the camera. "Did we really need the money that bad? We barely pay them anything and the costumes and sets are mostly reused." Another executive responds, "Of course. How else do you think we can pay out our dividends?"
After that complete non sequitur Hugo continues as if nothing happened Possibly because Johnny Hollywood just reads the script and barely knows what is going on, unless it's an opportunity to flex, "Death is my middle name. Hugo Death Roc---." He shakes his head and looks at the camera and does a cut hand sign, but the intern at the camera just kind of gives an idle, half-assed thumbs up as he keeps having his conversation. "Brave is my middle name. Hugo Braver Rockman."
He grins at the camera, very happy with his impromptu choice, not realizing that now his character is Hugo Death Braver Rockman to the fans.

Johnny Hollywood was no stranger to being a lead, but somehow he was able to become a lead in a movie where he had some semblance of control over the plotline. People would later comment on this and the fact that his character name was Hugo Rockman as a very obvious point, as he apparently loved stones.
The giant man walked through the crowd toward the massive circus tent, holding a stick of cotton candy which looked small like a lollipop. He took a chomp out of it, and was glad that he was just wearing denim suspenders without a shirt. The camera had a chance to glisten over his rock hard pecs, and more importantly, give him room to eat the cotton candy without ruining any potential outfits that could be recycled in other films.
"What's that over there?" He pointed to the giant circus tent, stuffed teddy bear in hand "Chekov's Teddy Bear? Oh please I really hope he isn't going to try some dramatic scene again with a child or something.", completely missing the point of the barker introducing the scene.
The camera pans downward to his two usual acting partners.

"We... Did it..."
He coughs, probably due to the dusty floor and maybe some now loose asbestos. The stone giant looks at the amazon, his eyes trying as hard as he can to cry, and when he finally does, the paint washes away on his face.
"Save them... Thank you for being a friend." His accent from the first half of the movie is completely gone at this point. Somehow Ur'Gak appears in the frame despite being nowhere near them, "And thank you for being the best human I have ever met." Whether or not he realizes that Hanna the Barbarian was a human or not is unclear, but the scene gets a ton of good laughs down the road.
Goran gives a low grumble, "Bury me under the biggest mountain you can find..." Johnny throws this line in in hopes that they will force the shoots to bring them to a nice mountain somewhere on the studio's dime to complete a final shot.
His death causes the earth to shake, but in reality it's the cameraman stifling laughter.

Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
"BRANDI! MANDI!"
The stone giant sees his target, the one who took his totally important romantic interests away from him. "You took the loves of my life from me!!!"
This scene would later be ignored when people were making commentary about women in these movies. It would be a pretty lukewarm topic.
Goran the mountain takes a massive breath and shakes the world, "Time to unleash my magic, a powerful spell passed down from giant to giant, son to son."
"I shall unleash the stone giant secret power..." He had forgotten his lines and was clearly stalling, "THE TORNADO LIGHTNING TOSS!!!" Another set of clipboards flew into the air behind the camera, "Really? Tornado? He's a stone giant! This doesn't make any---"
Using the power of wire fighting, the massive man tosses a rather large wooden lightning bolt into the air to strike Gisela down with an explosion of wind and crackles.
Violence, Using Vengeance Move: 10 = 10 Target is knocked down from her flight, the target drops something, inflict terrible harm, Mighty Thews provides -area and -messy
The glorious bolt of lightning flying requires a handful of stunt specialists to make sure it can actually rise up, Johnny Hollywood was not a small man and his fully solid wood lightning bolt Where did he get that anyway? was actually shockingly heavy and definitely unbalanced. Improvising the scene, they open all the windows really quickly to have a fairly mediocre breeze for the tornado and lightning bolt that he throws at Gisela.
If one listened carefully they would hear Goran's actor adding in his own lightning sound effects.

Emote: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (4, 5) - 1 = 8 +1 Forward for Ur'Gak since you're right near the two with the bow
Ripping off even more clothes, he falls to his knees in front of Candi and Mandi not realizing that the shot is wrapped up and that the camera isn't even officially running anymore Though this lost footage would be found later on when it was noted that an intern was playing with the cameras, so the angle is all wrong, and it's very clear that Goran isn't fully painted anymore. But for Mr. Hollywood, he thought it was some of the best he's ever done Which explains why he failed to get further dramatic roles when he used this as his test footage.
Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
"Candi! Mandi!"
The stone giant shouts into the distance, clearly a cut from before when they were meant to die horrible deaths.
Just roll with it, we don't want him to do another scene of wailing. Seriously.
Seeing the army of enemies around him, he has no choice but to unleash his ultimate technique.
Violence: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 2) + 2 = 7 Inflict harm but take some back. -messy -area
Sadly the Ultimate Technique of the Stone Giants was NOT very effective. In fact, he was told not to practice it because the price of manufacturing Goran toys would skyrocket and eat into the budget.
The stone giant takes more hits and he starts to falter under the mechanized swarm.

Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
The mecha-zoids are something he hadn't seen before Well Goran hadn't. They were partially reused props from their previous movie before they fully decided to step away from making it a ripoff of Bruno Mattei's Shocking Dark ripoff of The Terminator.
"Candi. Mandi. Let us earn our glory and give a story we can tell our children!" The line is super bad, and the bean counters really did not like the idea of a man with two wives, even though the line actually had nothing to do with... you know.
Later on he would hear about Brooke's issues with the sword and the honey and come to a similar conclusion as her.
Walking into battle, he pulls out his massive... Flail. The word was flail
Violence: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 2 = 9 -area, -messy due to Mighty Thews. You inflict some harm but take some too
It swings around smashing into as many of the mechanical men as possible but when he sees Candi and Mandi getting damseled up, he steps in between them and a giant piston robot. The tone of the movie is all over the place but someone in about 30 years will write a dissertation on the themes of the movie... and get laughed out of academia.
Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
Goran smiles at the newly formed crowd. He was excited that the two new ladies weren't going to be killed off so quickly, he took a page out of Brooke's book and decided to have a bit of a diva meltdown if the director didn't uphold their part of the bargain and it seemed to work.
They were nice girls and movies were hard to get into.

"NO! HANNA!"
The stone giant tries to intercept the blow with his massive flail, hoping to impress Candi and Mandi in the process.
Violence: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 2) + 2 = 10 Close in, terrible harm, knocked down, innately -area and -messy
"GET TO THE SAFETY OF MY MUSCLES!" The line isn't great and wouldn't quite catch on until Johnny Hollywood would be fighting a giant chameleon in a made up South American jungle.
Does this trigger Get to the X?

Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
Looking at the scene before him, Goran takes two ladies by the arms.
"One statue down. One remains."
He gives a massive flex for the camera and looks into the eyes of the two ladies who had no lines despite the casting director's promises.
Seduce, Love Scene: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5) + 2 = 13 Critical Aid and dies during the movie
For Goran, love was the other end of the blade. Which wasn't really a good saying but it kept coming up over and over, was it the other edge? The handle? This is why he stuck to flails.
But one thing Goran forgot to mention to the lovely ladies was that everything he loved... died.
This part was added in retroactively when the two extras demanded the action scene they were promised but with the condition that they would be killed off in order to not bloat the movie or have a chance to be in the sequel.
The love scene is certainly misplaced and even funnier when you stopped it frame by frame as you could see the grey body paint wash off of him onto his lovely co-stars.
But all things considering, people would like it for its tender moments in a movie full of bloodlust and some of the wives would giggle a little about the scene when talking about the movie that they were dragged to.

Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
Charging down the cliffside, Goran uses his totally previously discussed mountain magic powers to control the mountain and surf down it.
Stunt: 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1, 6) + 2 + 1 = 10
"Rockabunga!" The catchphrase is terrible and is clearly added in only as a way to add humour and toy sales to the product (which wasn't even aimed at children). This strange situation would eventually become the norm in the 2010s when Marvel movies would constantly break scenes and tension with completely silly words and jokes. In fact this scene would be spliced into most of them on internet cuts.
The massive flail swings not at the goblins but at the earth creating huge shards of stone and dirt flying toward all of them!
Violence: 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6, 2) + 2 + 1 = 11 All attacks are area and messy by default due to Mighty Thews, so -loud -knock down and +1 harm
Someone screams and an explosion happens when one of the heat lamps and lights gets completely blown up by flying debris. They keep it because if they were going to pay the studio to repair it they might as well write it off on the stunt budget.
Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
Getting back into the throne room, Goran somehow finds another shirt and falls on his knees to rip it and "grieve" again.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA---"
(Un)fortunately there is a small, and convenient power outage on set and they go to take a lunch break. When he returns later on, he completely forgets what he was doing and the director falls to their knees in some silent prayer of victory.
Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
The mountain was aptly named and after taking some shadowy weapons he went for the big stunt that everyone was waiting for.
He picked up Ur'Gak and looked directly into his eyes, "You. Mount the mountain." There was a snicker in the people filming. It was most certainly a last minute rewrite from the writer who was clearly distraught.
Tossing Ur'Gak high into the air, the power of friendship, wires and muscle lifted him into an amazing position for...

Shocked by the shadow stepping away from him, Goran draws his flail and gets up from the floor.
"Darkness. Must be stopped."
Violence!: 2d6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (2, 5) + 2 - 1 = 8 Inflict Harm and take some too
Unfortunately with all of his clothes ripped off from the very deep and soulful acting in the previous shot, he is only able to fight in an awkward manner to hide the missing paint on his body.
The shadow which is a person in a full on black suit doesn't even match the size of the actor but the guy in charge of casting was not going to have a "second muscle bound testosterone junky on set"

Hugo Death Braver Rockman - Harm 0/5 - Agility +0 - Drama -1 - Muscles +2 - Magnetism -1 - Swagger +2 - Experience 0/5 - Star Power 0
Goran walks slowly up toward the grieving woman, "In stone giant world. I have felt many loss like this." He puts a giant grey hand on her shoulder and falls down to his knees.
"When my family. Destroyed. We have ritual."
He wails at the top of his lungs and tears his shirt off. The muscles ripple as does the sound.
Slamming his fists into the floor makes them shake, mostly due to the planks of wood on the set floor.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Inhale "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Emote: 2d6 - 1 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (2, 3) - 1 - 1 + 1 = 4 The forward from Brooke is canceling the previous love scene
The overacting is so bad that the nearby casting director actively drops his coffee on the floor and the script writer leaves the set for the whole day. It was later noted that there was a smell of tequila in the writer's room as well as a lot of crumpled up paper in a nearby garbage bin.

The stone-giant looks confused towards the monkey and the barbarian queen.
"This normal?"
He walks up to try to kiss the monkey. Such a scene was the actor's idea of impromptu, to try to break out of his musclebound roles... It was an experiment, and probably not one that was going to be loved by many.
Seduce (using Muscles): 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 1) + 2 = 6
The not-Muppet puppet got up his nose and he let off a terrible sneeze.

The stone giant was quiet, mostly due to a lack of knowledge about the plot line. He seemed to be a late write in and this fantasy stuff was too confusing for the most part.
"So. This monkey... What does it. Do?" The language was stilted, but it wasn't due to the dialogue. They had to cut around a lot of his dialogue due to the large amount of background noise and of course because of the stone paint issue.
"Teacher. I am sorry for my. Late coming."
That too would eventually become a small internet clip. All these weird lines of dialogue would bother him in the early 2000's but he would grow to like them in time.

Relationship! Last Minute Rewrite Into the Script!: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 Teacher and Student
You are suffering a grave mistake!
Johnny Hollywood clearly missed his cue, as Goran the Mountain was being exactly that... Stone underfoot. He was supposed to burst free from the nearby cliff face but missed his opportunity.
"No... YOU!"
One Liner: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9 +1 Comraderie, someone gets hurt because he missed his cue by being afk.
Goran the Mountain ended up bursting free but the actors were all out of position and some scenery fell down in the wrong spot. With his massive body, Goran was one of the last of the stone giant tribe, and had the budget grey paint all over him. Director's note, he actually doesn't because he saw Goldfinger once and insisted that he wasn't going to be painted all over his body, so the camera has to be very creative about not showing the currently unpainted sections.
Pulling out his flail, he shouts "I summon thee! Stone Flailer!" The name was intentionally generic, enough so that they could ADR a better name in post and match it to his mouth movements.
Violence!: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 6) + 2 = 9 Inflict Harm but take some too

Taking a shot back, Theo stands tall as everything starts to go to all hell. "Let's get out of here!" There are many explosions but it seems like Theo is notoriously absent from some of these later scenes. The truth was the actor had a bad case of Mexican food and had to lose a few days of shooting.
Some of the cuts were of a person that looked kind of like Johnny Hollywood, but many of his die hard fans down the road would be able to tell the difference just by comparing the shoulder muscles.
Seduce the Crowd: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 2 = 8

Theo has no more weapons, at least none that the Phobes could see. Unfortunately for them (and fortunately for the audience) he was the weapon.
Muscle Stunt: 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6, 3) + 2 + 1 = 12 Going to use my last Gear Hold to grab... some kind of weapon from the surroundings. I'll let the director decide
He didn't charge into the Phobe firing range, he walked while the explosions and sound effects triggered. None of the choreographed shots hitting his sweaty chest.
The cinematographer would look back on this shot and realize that he actually had some chops, and would definitely leave after this movie it looked that damn good.
Without breaking stride he grabbed something from the floor and then picked up speed towards the Phobe leader. The lift was impressive. Doing it one handed without looking or bending over made people think it was movie magic.
But it wasn't.

The phrase didn't quite have a great ring to it, he would have to workshop it a little more.
He slams the space-oven into the floor creating a massive shockwave that knocks the Phobes back and gives the captain an opening.

The floor shakes, but that is purely coincidental as the construction happening next door causes some issues. The backlot was being torn down in a few months.

"Let's get revenge for Doris!" The Starcrusher probably should have mentioned the other crew as well, but he kind of already forgot about them in the fury of the battle.
He needs a weapon and fast, and looks around, his improvisation skills becoming very sharp. The set designers knew this about Johnny and decided earlier on that they would include some breakable terrain, but of course he did not listen to the briefing and grabbed something entirely fixed to the floor.
Muscles Stunt, Acquire a New Item: 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5) + 2 + 1 = 11
But his massive muscles were able to lift the furniture off the floor and the actual sweat coming off of the actor definitely made the scene feel more real. It wasn't until years later that the behind the scenes revealed that it was in fact a massive rock that he pulled from the ground and used against various stuntpeople; only painted to look like an alien device.
"Feel the power of the human race puny Phobes!"
The line comes out the instant the flames from Nelle's stunt and it makes the dripping Adonis look even more appealing somehow.

"Diplomacy is certainly not my middle name." He stretches his body out after being squeezed by the gorilla, "Whatever this planet is... It is dangerous."
He glances around, "Soon, all of this green will run red."
Johnny was trying very hard to get all of his clever lines into the trailer, he knew that was where most people would see him. He figured at least 80% of the people wouldn't watch the movie but might remember the cool line.

Just came back from a night seeing Barbie with my partner, don't have time for a big post today
Theo sees Nelle strike with the new trident, and watches her stumble backward. He instead finds a nearby branch from one of the strange, alien plants that weren't just leftovers from a previous movie and does his best gorilla impression.
Slamming his chest to accept the challenge, the buff and now sweaty man lets out a very exciting Ooo Ooo OO!
Alien Musk: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 6) - 1 = 6

Theodore gets up from the rubble before leaving the hatch, carrying his brother with him. The image of the shirtless man wearing the ridiculous space-underwear carrying his captain would later be used in a meme once the internet age really took off. Most people wouldn't have seen the movie of course, but some would and it would start a great series of convention appearances for the cast.
"This place. I can't believe we survived the crash." He puts Berry down, looking at the injuries (while using his body to cover the camera and avoid having to get a lot of makeup on the actor).
"You okay?" The scream of the man floating away is quickly forgotten as the stars all regroup, "Nelle. What else do you know about this place?" He looks around for his trusty pipe and slings it over his back, hoping it would inspire more confidence in the crewmates.

"What about the rest of the ship?!" He looked at the flashing red lights attached to the side. The siren made a very unhelpful woo-woo sound, as the mics were not good enough to pick up the dialogue over some real ones.
"We cannot let these Phobes take us!" The dialogue was loud, forceful, and made for a trailer.

The steely gaze was what he was known for. That was the titular thunder.
Alien Musk: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 5) - 1 = 10
This one, the one that stood in front. That Phobe was a true warrior. "You have a warrior spirit alien. The heart of a human." The camera lingers just a little too long on the man's eyes, almost as if he was trying to emote to a crowd. Theo hopes that he can make friends with the invader and that he will not harm his friends... Because his pipe only has so much stability when wielded by such a huge space-man.
Somewhere on set behind the scenes there was a groan, and some chatter about the budget and having to modify the suit to make the alien look different than the others.

At being told that he needs to put a shirt on, the macular man jokes muscularly "Look Captain Barry, just because we are bro---" But the ship rocks and Thunder forgets to rock with it, creating a very awkward looking scene.
With the Phobes landing in the ship, there was only one thing to do. Act.
A slightly off frame shot (no doubt due to him missing his ship rock cue) only shows half of the man's body off but before he has a chance to roll into action, too many ray guns go off and one of his crewmates dies!
"Right with you Nelle! Let's show these aliens what a good old fashioned human can do when they are powered by freedom!" He was pretty sure this line had some kind of political subtext, but he read it out, he didn't want to be blacklisted.
Do I get the Alien Musk passively? It says on encounter instead of as a Move.
He stands like a giant in front of his fallen comrade and rips a Styrofoam tube from the wall swings it to create some room on the ship deck just as the music swells and the pipe hits the boom-mic making a muffled *fmph* sound!
