The paladin grabs her holy sword in two hands and rushes in to Ciri’s side. Bringing her sword down upon the beast.
Not sure it will be effective Jhenn wades into the swarm swinging her sword.
Hearing Jim’s words Jhenn moves towards him and asks, ”With your permission I’d like to bestow Mitra’s blessing upon you?”
”Not I,” the paladin responds to the cleric’s inquiry.
While cleaning her sword of the gore Jhenn cautioned, ”check yourself for bites less this corruption infect you.” She begins searching the corpses, ”Lets see what these creatures have. Hopefully something to help us with our task.” She will then check the secret door where the wererats sprung their ambush from.
Jhen steps forward swinging the Hart of Law liking how it feels in her hands.
Jhenn stands stone still, a look of shock and confusion plastered on her face as the wererats jump out. It takes a few seconds for the situation to sink in.
Seein Jim struggle the paladin throws him a rope.
Jhenn dismissed the rats as inconsequential, Let’s not get distracted by this rat’s nest.”
Jhenn felt the warmth of the gem’s gentle caress against her forehead and in her hart she knew she had been blessed.
The paladin reaches her hand towards the orb.
Jhenn still on her knees and gave a bow responding at the gem’s offer, ”Well said Victoria. Let us put your words to the test and together destroy all evil that stands before us!”
While the others discussed the new found treasures Jhenn tried to focus on her mission, ”Let’s not dither over worldly goods. These treasures pale to the rich blessings that await us.” She kneeled, ”But first let us give thanks to Mitra for these gifts and the blessing we have received.” She waits a moment to for others to join if they wish then bows her head offering a short prayer.

Some else can have the earrings. Jhenn already has a headband of charisma +2. Also, Jhenn will use th +6 strength belt from party loot and throw her +2 belt into the loot pile.
”You honor me,” the paladin humbly accepted the sword.
Jhenn cautiously watches with awe as the elderly Mitra appears. Right behind Ciri she drops to her knees and offers, ”All, I have.”
Jhenn gives a bow to the naga, ”May Mitra’s blessing shine on you Grand Omphalos. Is there anything that I may do for you bore this fellow servant of Mitra passes?
”I detect no taint from this creature” She informed her companions. She addressed the naga, ”Tell us guardian, will you let us pass? We are servants of Mitra and seek to rid this place of the foulness that has corrupted it.”
Jhenn tightens her grip on her sword staring coldly at the creature.
With George’s words fresh in her mind she rises, ”There is little else for us to in this place. Let us press forward.”
At the appearance of Mitra’s servant the paladin dropped to one knee and bowed her head in respect, ”As Mitra wills.” She humbly asks, ”Do you have any information that could speed us on our quest?”
The paladin finally comes to her senses and catches up with the group, ”What villain would dare foul this holy place.” She joins the dwarf in trying to clean the statues. As she does tears flow down her weary face.
Overcome by the noxious odor the paladin leans against a wall staring blankly.
The stench forces Jhenn from the room gagging, retch.

Sword in hand Jhenn follows Thoron down the hallway to the west.
”Let us not dally in this place any longer,” Jhenn announced with one hand on the hilt of her sword. ”You, my good dwarf, if you wouldn’t mind, take the lead. Let’s continue down the path started.”
”Grim business indeed but if that what Mitra demands so be it,” the paladin replied to the swashbuckler’s observation.
The paladin turned towed Ciri,”Any clues on where this “Hart of Law” might be? Or are going to have to search room by room?
After Princess Jamala‘s introduction Jhenn gave a resounding,”Well met. May we bring glory to Mitra and honor to ourselves. The paladin is a little slow to act against the wight but takes the opportunity to access her new companions abilities, Impressive, no cowards among them. “Well done! Since I have just arrived can some some tell what is going on here.”
I don’t see Jhenn in the initiative order. Do you want her to wait until the next round or after the combat to post?

Sounds good. The equipment thing question was a bit of confusion on my part based on your earlier remarks in the recruitment thread (see below). I wasn’t sure if what I had would unbalance things with what other equipment might be out ther.

As far as equipment goes I don’t have my hart set on anything and my build doesn’t require items to function. I still have some gold left for incidentals Appearance:
Jhenn is a tall and well-muscled with a stern countenance. The statuesque woman wears her yellow, sun colored, hair short and her face appears to be chiseled from stone, with her thin lips set in a perpetual frown, and eyes like frozen pools, sitting beneath her furrowed brow. She is usually adorned in heavy armor with a sword and shield close at hand. The warrior wears a copper and white checkered tabard with the flamed scales embroidered over the right breast marking her as a follower of Mitra. Personality:
Jhenn is a paladin of Mitra, The Scales of Justice. As such she tries to live the vows and tenets of her faith. In spite of her hardened countenance Jhenn is gregarious, perhaps a bit slow to trust, but good natured and sees everyone as a potential friend. She can be touchy about her honor and strives to keep her vows. She is a fierce defender of her friends and a fierce enemy of those would disrespect Mitra. I will need lots of help trying to figure out how Jhenn got here. Background: Jhenn dedicated her life to Mitra since she was 8 years old. Sacrificing friends, family, and wealth along the way. After serving in the temple she was chosen as a squire for Sir Abram a paladin of Mitra at age twelve and after several years of service was chosen as a paladin by her god. Since then she has traveled the land dispensing justice, righting wrongs, and defending the weak. Recently she was lost in a sandstorm and felt led to an underground complex. |
