Sounds right to me. Don't suppose that table has little carved figures and sheafs of paper with strange symbols on them? Jen eyes the room warily for the warrior who had ran this way glancing between the rope ladder and door.
If none reveal such a skill.
I'm going to hedge my bets and guess the door is locked. If so, unless something prevents it assume Jen does repeated STR checks until the door gives in.

I actually enjoy having PC personalities clash in a setting like PbP. It makes for more interesting story if not everyone gets along and is much easeir to pull off without slowing the table down in this setting. So don't apologize it makes the game more interesting. That is some good news Corerue. Jen catches the lizards deadweight to prevent any further damage from its jaws before putting the beast on the ground. The woman inspecting the damage dealt to her with a frown as she releases another burst of healing magic to knit some of the damage.
" Well looking in here this appears to be a kitchen of some kind. Perhaps specifically for curing meats? Regardless I am going to try one of the other doors unless we wish to brave the noxious cloud." Jen informs as she glances in the direction the fleeing mongrelman had taken.
Unless we want to try the smoke Jen will be heading in the direction of the door in H4, the top left corner.

Jen's disapproval is obvious on her face as Lasciel complete her act, the paladin having obviously not expected it. "I.. I guess that will work." the woman says with some small twinge of regret.

Anyone else feel like punching the lizard as it does its best to eat Jen? I somehow get the feeling that my attack roll isn't going to cut it what with the penalty for being grappled and attacking from a grapple equaling each other out.

behold the lizard with jaw pressure enough to cause nuclear fission. I'm assuming that was a mistake and Jen hasn't instantly exploded. Jen rears back with a choked cry of pain before attempting in to punch the lizard in the face.

Jen frowns and nods " Well there goes that idea. A shame your magic is unable to levitate a rock or something else hefty we could anchor rope to. Then we'd have something that could defend us from attacks from above and something to hang onto were they to sever the rope. though I imagine there are a dozen reasons that wouldn't work, i'll be the first to admit the mechanics of magic are hazy at best for me." Amusingly that magic item has a CL of 19 and is capable of levitating an object/person weighing 1900 pounds or less. The spell doesn't directly address creatures hanging onto a levitating one but I assume the spell would still be viable until you hit that weight cap.

Taking a full defensive would give you an additional +4AC. I'd been considering how hard it would be to just grab one or two from the bottom of the hole with an improvised lasso but it seemed too complex to work in actuality.
crunch wise if my guess is right and this actually is a stinking cloud we just have to wait a little bit for it to dissipate. Stinking cloud is 1 round/CL.
As to being a bleeding heart, well I imagine Jen will make the right choice when it will be needed. Doubtless Jen will have plenty of cultist and demon blood on her hands by the end of this all.

hey it isn't like Jen would have seen that door before now anyway so you had no reason to state its presence. I've got no concerns so far. Also I really dislike stinking cloud. Jen frowns as she looks into the fog " Even with you providing a distraction all they would need to do is sever the rope to cut you off from the rest of us. Do you still have more magic like you used to stun the deathguard warriors earlier? Were we to begin climbing they'd likely all be looking down for a target. That is if we avoid the fogs sickening effects. I doubt anyone will be in the right condition to do much if you can't shrug it off. Does anyone know if it is magic? It might help to know how long the effect might last if so?"
Huh.. would the fog could Lasciel generates push the stinking cloud away from the column? as a player I am amused by the direct approach and fully endorse giving it a shot but there does seem to be a good number of barriers we are going to need to overcome for that to work. Sounds like more fun to punch through that way though.

For shadowdancer, the real issue is the feats required to access the class, feats being one of the few things you don't get more of as a Gestalt* unless you've built with it in mind those requirements are going to hurt. The biggest draw the prestige class hass in my opinion.
*aside from class/race based bonus feats Primalist bloodrager would be able to trade in one of the powers of your bloodline for two barbarian rage powers.

Jen considers the hold before shrugging Even if I were to go up there it would be a lopsided fight, were they to see they were losing they could just cut the rope I was using. A shame I don't have powers of flight or levitation.
I'm assuming the white marker on the right side of the north room is a door. Presumably Jen is at the north wall of that room and looking at that dip with white marks which I presume to be your rope with bad guys at the top. Assuming thats all right-ish. Jen returns to the group and waves away some of the clinging smoke before speaking. " There is a rope leading to an upper level guarded by at least four warriors. Trying to fight that many dangling from a rope is going to be next to impossible at best. I have no means of levitation or flight so our best options would likely be trying one of the other paths. There also looks to be another door through the fog if you all feel able to hold your breath." the green one informs as she gestures to the two doorways in the room and then to the fog.

Shrug. Once more into the breach? Jen prods the ceiling with her glaive to determine the dimensions of the entrace to the area above, waving a hand to see if she couldn't determine if the hole with a rope was where the smoke was originating from.

Jen nods to Lasciel and after wiping her bloodied hands on her pants grabs her glaive as Jaeger drags the cleric away from the fog. The half-orc giving the man a pleased quirk of her lip as she walked.
My bet is on a wizard with stinking cloud. Don't suppose there is anything near us that we could use to blow it away? An improvised fan out of some big flat object perhaps.

Jen seems to hold back words as Lasciel walks away but she returns to her task Much as I wish my world could be so black and white I will not dishonor my oaths by breaking them over such as these. Jen gives Ethyra a small smile as she helps the half orc and nods. " Duty shared is duty halved. I don't ask you to understand my reasons but thank you for helping me regardless." Assuming Ethyra pitches in then unless any of the bleeding mongrel folk were close to death at the start of the battle they will all be stabilized quickly. Ethyra doesn't need to make any checks like I would.

I vaugely recall Ethyra having picked the trait that lets her stabilize people as a standard action without any rolls. I don't much enjoy slowing down the party but Jen's paladin vows are kinda forcing me to push this particular issue. Pallys of Sheylen are all about the mercy and forgiveness. She will abandon this to defend allies if we enter combat again.

Jen looks up from her work and gives Lasciel a brittle, sad expression. " Lady Lasciel, between the Deathguard nearly tearing themselves apart and their captain being the puppet of some demon? What makes you believe they are not misled? We don't know their reasons and have no way of communicating. Leaving them to bleed to death with doubt about their reasons is not something i'm willing to be party to." I'd imagine most everyone deep into this hobby has some sort of gaming 'wild west' stories to tell.
As to succubi I actually just recently encountered one, there is a rather amusing encounter in ROTRL involving them. Suffice to say my GM was not excited when I informed him my bard was burning a scroll of lesser wish in order to give into that fever dream of lust and survive.

You'll need to move the cleric to a different spot if you want to CDG with the glaive. you can't hit adjacent creatures with a reach weapon. The image you provided does show she has a dagger on her belt though. "Mercy is the gift of the strong, have you never heard that adage? Instead of trusting your ally would not break under our 'weakness' you killed her. Perhaps because you feel in the same position you might break yourself? The urban bloodragers adopted magic ability can grant you extra spells from the bard or magus list. As it is thematic to the character perhaps Corerue would be willing to let you select Detect Demons as your first option from that ability? A second option would be to have an item that generates detect demons.

That works. It should be mentioned that unless I'm fighting monsters where it obviously won't work that Jen will be using non-lethal damage. Which I'm fine with being flavored as flesh wounds, just stuff that won't kill them without additional help.
LOH: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Jen grunts in pain giving the spears owner a glare of annoyance as she she wheels and moves to aid lasciel whos position was at least partly the paladins fault. Her strides not even slowing as the damage the recently thrown javelin had inflicted healed, the weapon clattering to the ground as fresh flesh pushed it away from the paladins body.

Note to self, get better armor 15AC is pitiful. Jen gives a faint rasp of pain as she looked into the general melee and saw the archer in the back ranks I will need to do something about that one soon With a savage wrench the green skinned warrior pushed the arrow the scant remaining distance out of her shoulder. Significant portions of the damage the arrow had wrought healing in front of everyones eyes, though the bloodstains remained.
The half orc scanned the room before propping her glaive against the near wall and in a flash her spike studded morningstar was in its place ready to do violence. I'm going to need to clear a path first though. The woman grimacing as she swung with both hands.

Right I vaguely recall the group getting given a general mission relatng to that before getting drawn into the trap of Tawn'garth/Shadow demon.
I know we got given a request to deal with stragglers but I guess I missed the part where we were asked to clear the fort. Are the Deathguard not mustering to head back to Neathholm and deal with whatever demon force has besieged the place while the defenders are away?

Sorry thought we were waiting on something. Actions now. Jen sighs as she looks at the mongrelmen ahead and to the battle about to start. " We came to rescue the deathguard warriors behind us didn't we? If we push the barricade up into the door we can block these ones in here. Then we can leave with what we came for. Killing these mongrelmen won't bring any of the deathguard already slain back". I really don't recall the reason we were here outside from rescuing the deathguards we found them about to get dragged in here. two of them fled, we found those two. Are there supposed to be more? If there are no more to find Jen would like to jam the door so we can leave. If I missed something and we have a decent reason to beat the crap out of these guys.
