Me as well.

Hey everybody.

"Morv, I'm all about lack of restraint on a good day, but, in all honesty, this has NOT been a good day. Take it down a notch!"

Janeesa's vote is for a 6-7 risk-speed factor.

"It would be a good idea, if we have time. But I'm hoping this joyride on the highway to hell is over soon!"

Can Janeesa try to attach her grappling hook, which she already has in hand, to his belt, if he manages to grab on?

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa prepares her grappling hook and a rope, thinking if they wreck up here she might have to catch on to something in order to not die.

Similarly, Janeesa's bum was starting to feel like she'd been sitting on it for the length of a cross-country train trip, rather than just a few seconds. What an odd set of physics this cavern has.

Her remaining spells scant to say the least, and her ranged ability minimal, Janeesa just ducks down and waits.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Oorah! Let's do this meshugas!

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa is also prepared to enter into this fool-hardy venture, though much like Morvius, she is curious if the return journey will involve a steep uphill hike.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Anybody got Mending?

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Three charges to Morvius: 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2, 8) + 3 = 16 first two rolled for crap

Anyone else?

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Noting Morvius' seeming dismay and guessing at his thoughts, Janeesa merely whispers:

"Aterro's charms lie in combat; therein, one keenly loves his presence. Once done, the more brutal aspects are less endearing."

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa will take her held action to move up to Morvius and Cure Serious Wounds.

3d8 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4) + 6 = 16

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Hearkening back to her conversation with Aterro, Janeesa will hold her action until later in the round, allowing those more powerful in combat to deal with the threats while she prepares to heal as needed. There is little she can do to stop Weasel and friends from escaping at this range.

Janeesa will wait to go last, after Grinceroy.

"There is wisdom in your words, brother, though I love to soak my morningstar in the blood of those who deny liberty. I'll endeavor to leave the majority of the fighting to you and the rest, though I cannot promise the to avoid occasional head-crack where it is warranted."

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa, satisfied that she'll have ample strength in numbers, brings up the rear in her (comfortable) support role. She truly valued freeing slaves, but sacrificing her life to die needlessly and without friends was not high on her list. Her morningstar was ready to do what she might.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa will wait until there's a consensus, she's not going to follow this guy until she's sure other people are.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa watches the gory act. Sometimes death, even outside of combat, was the price one paid for being a slaver.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa approaches the slaves.

"Come, my friends! Be free of your bondage! We have thrown down THE MAN that has kept you!"

She will throw a CLW (via the wand) at the injured one.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Assuming Callinda and Attero's HP are correct

Wand of CLW on Callinda:
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Cure Moderate Wounds on Attero:
2d8 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 = 14

Wand of CLW on Attero:
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

If you click my character link the text has my used spells crossed out; I can Spontaneously cast any Cure spell, so essentially any spells I have left COULD be converted to heal in a pinch.

Currently I have two more 3rd, three 2nd, and one 1st. One of my 2nd is Lesser Restoration. I also have 2 Channels left. And of course I'm sitting on two CLW wands.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

I've used roughly 60% of my personal healing capability, but we do have the expendable resources as well.

Is everyone's HP accurate currently on their tagline, after my Channel?

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Once everyone is together, Janeesa throws a Channel, excluding any slavers dead or dying (or injured, really).

3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3) = 11

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

On her action, assuming minions are still up, charge with Morningstar.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

As soon as all combatants are dealt with (ie when combat is over) I'll gather everyone and throw a couple Channels to get us back up to spec.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 *whew*

Janeesa, on her action, will 5' step out of threat range and cure serious wounds on herself.

3d8 + 6 ⇒ (2, 7, 1) + 6 = 16

It's not. I don't usually post bonuses, because clever PCs can reverse engineer a lot of information about opponents.

Ah, okay, fair enough. I'll update my HP and keep that in mind.

Additionally, forgot to add Divine Favor to my hit and damage above; hit should be 25, damage should be 8.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa attempts to smack the guy who just hit her.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Assuming she can make it to him, Janeesa will get to Attero and throw a Cure Serious Wounds his way:

3d8 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4) + 6 = 17

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

On her turn, Janeesa will 5' step back to avoid AOO and cast Cure Moderate Wounds on herself, healing...

2d8 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9

Dice hate me.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa charges the little bastard who shot her.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Figures...

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Oh, that's it, you little bastard, Janeesa thinks.

If at all feasible without taking AOO, she's gonna charge that guy this round.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Janeesa tries to move to a position where she can catch Grinceroy, Morvius and Attero all with Channel. If she gets Callinda as well, all the better.

She excludes the boss, overseer, and any goons from healing.

I know it's a little overkill at this point, but Grince is hurting and it's my only ranged heal.

Channel: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6) = 13

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

I had closed to within 20' of Boss/Overseer before they turned on Grince and Attero, so even with their moves, I'm thinking I should be able to reach (selective) channel range of Attero and Grince in one move action. If not, I'd probably charge with the morningstar instead.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

Technically, it would be 7 to 2. I closed 30' with the boss and overseer, so if they surround Grince, I'll be behind them as well.
Nevertheless, glad Attero is in the mix, his damage potential is much higher than mine.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

With melee combat now imminent, Janeesa has to fight the urge to charge the overseer, so strong is the hate she feels welling up inside her. She realizes, though, that this would complicate the archers' efforts for one final volley, so she simply moves a single move closer the Overseer and readies her morningstar.

DM_DM wrote:
I believe Total Defense is a standard action.

It is, I was just pondering if there would be any use to it at all in a surprise round. If you're taking any action in the surprise round, your opponents must be surprised. So taking total defense as a Standard Action in the surprise round was kind of a stupid choice, since the surprised opponents can't attack me.

That said, I missed the fact we were in a surprise round when I used that action the first time. I posted that before you declared round 1, and then other people were taking a second set of actions, so if people are getting a set of actions before round 1, there was a surprise round, and I basically wasted it.

Female Human 30/30 HP; AC 18/13/16; Init +5; Fort +5, Refl +3, Will +8; Per +3

If my Total Defense happened prior to Round One (can you even Total Defense in a surprise round? Is there a reason to?)...

Janeesa's Round 1 Action:

step out of cloud of bats in a different direction than Morvius did, to a distance of 30', then do Total Defense again, the idea being to make them move toward just one of us, or somewhere else. If this exposes me to more weapon fire, so be it; at least the AC boost will do something for me.

Think the d4 was a random die roll, not damage - the swarm hasn't attacked yet.

Thanks. In that case, since I took Total Defense as my standard action, can I use a move to get out of the bat's radius, or am I stuck there until next round? An AC bonus will do jack against a swarm.
