Sound Burst: 1d8 ⇒ 5 target the group at G7, F8 with Sound Burst - Fort save DC16 - You blast an area with a tremendous cacophony. Every creature in the area takes 1d8 points of sonic damage and must succeed on a Fortitude save to avoid being stunned for 1 round. Creatures that cannot hear are not stunned but are still damaged.

Jacob weaves forward through the rocks, using the stones for cover even as he draws attention to himself by taunting the archers. "Come on boys, can't you even hit a middle aged man with little agility of strength?" double move forward and try to draw the fire away from the party, hoping Jacob's deflection aura and the stones provide enough cover to keep him standing, and that his healing can take care of the rest

With no other recourse to save his hide as he perches vulnerable on horseback in an ambush, Jacob resorts to a story he recently read of cajoling bandits, applying the plot hook to the current dilemma. The belt works its magic and everyone is quite sure that no one said anything about dragons or whisky, but Jacob is already on to the task of pouring a capful from a hidden flask and watering it down from the fountain before taking a long sniff. The captives seemingly forgotten, Jacob is ready to hustle back to Daggermark with the few tomes he's secured from the library.

Jacob had just donned the new found boots when Hugo stumbled through the secret passageway. Forgetting, for the moment, the remanding gear, he tromps over, pajamas and boots in a fashion faux-pas, and peers into the new area. "I say lad, mighty perceptive of you! Jacob thumps his own shield, with much less force than any actual attack would impart, and stands proudly in his claimed fortification. "I say, are those scrolls, maybe the ones I found for those nere-do-wells?" check of some kind: 1d20 ⇒ 17 +5 if arcana, or about anything else :) The healer's kit he'll pack away without thought, as a second nature action for the inner-nuturer that resides in Jacob.
