The Google slides for the campaign will be under my DM alias in game. I added a pic of Warbal and a map of Breachill. I will post combat maps and monsters there as well, as you encounter them.

Thanks for the concern. I am well and regular posts will be forthcoming. Thanks for your patience!
I had an issue with my prior gmail address so had to create new Slide show.
Sorry for delay...back to the action!
Great. I've posted the PbP thread's first post. You can react. I will create the Google slides over this weekend and link them with the town map. etc.
Thank you for the concern. It was work related.
Emergent situation came up before - update for sure coming tonight.
Question: Do you want to know each other or come in as strangers? Except for Jojo, who will appear with Warble.

Ok, I am back. The applications were really great. At one time, I debated taking 7 players..lol. In the end, I selected the following players and it was not my intent to take such a diverse group, but that's what happened:
Pileus: Leshy Monk
Shi Xin Wang: Versatile Human (Tian) Bard
Jojo: Goblin Swashbuckler
Gexi: Ratfolk Alchemist (Toxicologist)
Thark the Blessed: Half-Orc cleric of Gorum
To those selected, please report to: Discussion Thread
Thanks again to all who applied!
Congratulations on being selected! Please take the weekend and finalize your characters. Let's have fun and let me know any questions.

Because sometimes it does. I do have experience with first edition, but it's been a long long time. It does not make you ineligible. Feel free to apply.

For those that don't know, pathbuilder2e.com lets you build characters pretty easily, especially at 1st level. A few clicks and you're done.
CloakedInSmoke - Leshy is fine.
Jeremy: Remastered where possible, but will allow legacy content, upon review.
Blake's Tiger: Yes, I would allow that class archetype.

Hi all, I've been DMing an Abomination Vaults campaign for PF2E (first time in this system) for almost a year now and have been having a blast, so decided to try out Age of Ashes, which I hear has some super hard fights and want to see how they play out in PbP. There will be some modifications to the AP, as the community has created great resources which I will use.
I’ll keep recruitment open for a week. I’m looking for 4 (maybe 5) players.
My expectations from you as a player:
o Consistent posting, I’d prefer at least once a day posting.
o Group tactics and having fun.
o Interesting characters who I would want to see developed in game.
o Cool imagery - I'm a very cinematic DM, so the rule of cool is in effect.
Character build:
o Level 1
o We will be utilizing the Free Archetype
o Backgrounds: You can use from the Player's Guide or the regular common ones are fine too.
o Ancestries: Core + Catfolk, Ratfolk, and Tengu only.
o Describe your physical appearance or provide a link to your image. Explain in a paragraph what is your connection to Breachill and your motivation for answering the Call to Heroes.
o I use Google Slides for combat maps and NPCs.
Any questions, please let me know.
The latter - copy it into a spellbook and it's gone.
You are right, Goliath. My bad. Apologies. Will redo his Round 4 action.
Penflower Khan wrote: Pardon for posting this later. I noticed I have a scroll of mending. In our time in town, could I have copied it to my spellbook? Sure.
All purchases approved. Just list them on your sheet.
Penflower Khan wrote: Please replace raise shield with cast shield spell in my action. Noted.
Jon Yddina wrote: Since Hagrym cast Heal on all of us, can I consider that particularly effective aid against my bleed damage next time I roll my flat check? Actually, I would rule that any magical healing will stop the bleed damage automatically, except that Hagrym cannot heal this round, so you are still bleeding.

That is not a house rule. That is how it works in 2e. You don't need a free hand anymore.
Mac, in response to your questions:
1. Otari is a Level 4 Settlement so actually, the Otari Garrison, led by Captain Longsaddle, sells weapon runes. It has a ghost rune for sale for 75 gp.
2. Got it.
3. I understand, forcing you to carry his head is kind of macabre. We will say Graulgust's club was personally style with his personal sigil so as to informs NPCs that it belonged to him. I am fine with that.
4. Got it.
5. Ok.
6. Yes, there are 4 stairs down and the elevator.
Jon, the change is fine.

8+Con hit points
Skill increase: expert in religion
General Feat: Assurance (medicine)
2nd warpriest doctrine: trained in martial weapons
Spells: 2 2nd level gained per day
*Dispel Magic
*Restoration
+1 to AC, attacks, perception, saves, skills, save DC and class DC.
——-
That’s the easy part. Could someone check the numbers when I get the changes made and make sure the skills and all that good stuff add up?
Thanks!
Everything looks good, Hagrym, except I have your hps at 43, not 41.
We can start rp in Main thread.
Goliath, reviewing your sheet, I believe you only spent 15 points on stats. 15 str 14 con 14 wis +2 race +1 4th level = 18 Str. You have 5 more points. Wait, your sheet has 16 Wisdom. Please amend your profile stats to reflect 16 Wis. Thanks.
Hey all, I have reached out to one of the players from the Recruitment thread to replace Baerothad so hopefully, we can start soon.
Baerothad Anvilson wrote: And sadly, I have crappy news to share.
We learned yesterday at work that our third shift was being laid off, and that the first and second shifts were now on 10-12 hour mandatory overtime for the next few months, with some Saturdays thrown in as needed.
I waited til today to try and get more details, and see how I felt after my first day...and I'm exhausted. There's no way I'll be able to keep up with a daily game right now.
I'm SO sorry to have to back out right now. I was seriously looking forward to this game and playing with you guys. You have my most sincere apologies on this. I didn't know this was coming, or I wouldn't have even applied at the last minute, in the first place.
Again, sorry, JD.
Hey, life happens, I get it. Thanks for letting me know and I hope all goes well for you.
Just waiting on Baerothad's ok that his sheet was amended to move on.
Jon, if you have the elf trait, you are immune to the ghoul's paralysis, which half-elves have.
Garidan, if you can afford it with your current funds, you can purchase it, but there is no hidden stash of savings. Sorry :)

Baerothad Anvilson wrote: Jack Daniels wrote: Baerothad:
Please fix profile to read Cleric 4 (it says Cleric of Torag 1)
+1 Breastplate costs 1350 gp, not 1200
Your combat post says MW Warhammer but your equipment only lists warhammer.
Bag of holding costs 2500 gp not 1200 gp.
Cloak of resistance +1 costs 1000 gp not 2000 gp.
Potions of cure light wounds (not healing) heal 1d8+1, not 2d4+2.
Your equipment goes over the 6000 gp limit. Please amend.
Spells are 4 0-level, 4 1st level, and 3 2nd-level (not 4 2nd level).
Armor from breastplate is +7 so AC with shield is 20, not 19.
Saves are +7/+3/+8 with cloak.
You are encumbered with current gear and 14 Str. It does not affect your AC, just armor check penalty.
Perception should be +8 with Seeker trait bonus.
Your hit points are off by 6 (you should have 35). You did not add +2 Con bonus for levels 2-4.
Skill points are off: 3 per level (human) = 12 + 8 (2/level) background = 20. You spent only 13. ...wow. * embarrassed * I was rushing, and it shows. Apologies. Will fix. Mo worries, let me know when you have made the changes.
Penny Foundling wrote: Jack Daniels wrote: Penny:
I think you have an 1 extra ability point to spend, original point spread is 19 (instead of 20) with 15 Int and then +2 from race +1 at 4th level.
Weird? I use PCGen for my characters and it was showing 20 points spent. Added another onto Int and it was still showing 20 points spent?
So Int is now 19, doesn't change anything else. :) That's not what I meant. You can either make Str 12 or make it 10 and one of your other 12 stats can be raised to 13. Your Int stays at 18.

Jon Yddina wrote: Jack Daniels wrote: Does anyone else have any plans in town, separate from what Mac listed?
You will all be full hps so your profiles should reflect that.
I need to go shopping. I'd like to buy the formulas for all 8 types of lesser bane ammunition (rank 1, 1 gp each) and minor life shot and aromatic ammunition (rank 2, 2 gp each), a hand crossbow (rank 0, 3 gp), basic crossbow bolts (rank 0, 1 cp each), and as many waterproof firearm carrying cases as I can find since each one can hold only 6 rounds of ammo (rank 0, 2 sp each; don't need more than 4 at this point. If I can only find one, I'll probably just make 8 firearm rounds tomorrow and the rest in crossbow bolts and just use the hand crossbow once I'm out of firearm rounds. My class features work equally well with crossbows as they do with firearms, the only difference being for some reason crossbows get a flat +2 precision damage bonus instead of +1d4).
And just confirming with you that Munitions Crafter does not specify the alchemical ammunition I create has to be firearm rounds, so I can make alchemical crossbow bolts as well. Morbilint has the formulae that you need. You find 2 waterproof firearm carrying cases. I agree with your interpretation for Munitions Crafter.
Does anyone else have any plans in town, separate from what Mac listed?
You will all be full hps so your profiles should reflect that.
Jericho:
You selected the indomitable faith trait. Who is your deity?
You have no basic equipment. I assume you will purchase when you leave town. Is that correct?

I'll change it to a longspear.
Jack Daniels wrote: You have one 1st level spell as a 4th level ranger, I believe, which I do not see in your sheet. Good catch. I'll add longstrider.
Jack Daniels wrote: The ACP for both the armor and shield are -4(-3) and -2(-1) for total of -3. I have your Stealth score at +6 while wielding both. Also your Perception and Survival are off by 1 - I both at +10 (4 ranks +3 proficiency + 3 wisdom). How do you get +11?
I think you are missing 1 rank in skill points (4 in intimidate, perception, stealth, and survival and 3 in K (dungeoneering)) leaves 1 extra skill point.
I'll make the changes.
Jack Daniels wrote: Where does adaptable study come from? Infilgrator from ABP 2010 The infiltrator archetype talks about adaptations, which the ranger can use in 10-minute increments, which you picked Natural Armor +2. I do not see where it says Adaptable Study. In your profile, under Offense, you put:
* Adaptable Study: Move action +1 hit/damage against non-giant.
