What products have a good map of Augustana in them?

Every Edition suffers the Rise and Fall syndrome...
Older editions stall..New Editions come out with small editions changes, everyone jumps on new edition Bandwagon buying same product line with changes..cycle repeats.

It is hard to keep interest in a singular product line forever.

Companies who refuse to change suffer.

Maps are a weak point of their product line. Customers are wanting High Res versions of maps to use online. Online is where most of the action is these days, or Digital display is used at even the Table. But they are not providing them. People are wanting 1"=5' "official" maps and they are not providing them. Digital allows rapid Mini use without slowing down game to draw out a Map as you go

Many GMs don't homebrew settings so This type of product line is hard to support in regards to Adventure Path users. Adventure Path GMs are only interested in a straight line from start to finish.

There are a few tavern/pub flipmats that might work, however. My buddy got me the bigger tavern for Christmas and I've already got the waterfront pub as well. With this, I intend to incorporate both into our CoCT campaign in some fashion.

I just make my own these days.

Great way to have reoccuring maps without having to use the same maps for every single Inn/Tavern throughout the Realms :)

Liberty's Edge

Shame it doesn't come with 1"=5' Scaled Maps :(

Congrats to everyone.

I fully suspect that #19 will be, at least in part, a Starfinder issue. Paizo should have enough official campaign setting material out by then for us to get fans to write to.

Also, I think we've sorta have to wait and see if Starfinder is covered under the CUP.... ;-)

I hope not...

Not a SCI-FI fan...
I am sure there is still enough Fan Based stuff to have Separate Issues.

The Dundjinni forums are dying due to Unstability and a New Reliable forum is in the Works

Many of the Original Users hang out at https://www.cartographersguild.com

Not much if the is a dire crocodile farm down the road.

Questions?

Do these sound packs require the Syrinscape Player?

They be used forever once downloaded?

I am homebrewing a Campaign which started with The Dragon's Demand..

Dragons are returning to the Realms and there may be a need for Dragon slayers.

My PCs are now Dragon Slayers of Nazilli and have granted the Ruins of Nazilli as their base.

First task...Explore the ruins and restore the city

WHERE DID YOU FIND THESE!?

I searched all over this site for those, and ended up wasting money on the first two Wrath of the Righteous PDFs because I THOUGHT they would come with the interactive maps. :(

I just wish the AP maps were of a native resolution (when copy-pasting from the PDF) so that the X and Y of each grid cell is consistent, rather than X axis having say 2px gridlines and Y axis having 3px gridlines. It leads to tons of scaling problems when dropping them in VGT's.

That is because Most Maps are Drawn and then a Grid is inserted.

Some rooms are 12 foot wide instead or 10 or 15..Walls might be anywhere in regards to a grid line.

Most are not drawn to a scale..They draw what looks good to them

Liberty's Edge

I am not hear to tattle tale on people, but if Someone from the Company wanted to look, all you have to do is look at the Links in many of the posts going back years..I don't see them leading to a Page with any Disclaimer of any sort. Many simply lead to Cloud storage

Quality Standards are subjective...
As A Customer I must say that I am Highly disappoint in the Quality of Maps produced for Adventure Paths and Stand alone moduals in PDFS when Blown up for use in VTTs or Digitally displayed on a Monitor..Very Blurry. While we don't always play directly on the Map, we do use them very very often to let players look at. "What's that blurry brown thing right there?" Especially when High Res Files can be produced
As a GM/Player I hate round walls, and even diagonal Walls because basically they are hard to reproduce on Hand-drawn Battle Maps and Minis can't be utilized in Non full Squares..

Would I be willing to learn how to do better Circular walls..possibly...but...why bother..I don't like them. I don't use them in my Maps as a general rule

As for Stopping Making them..No you never said "stop" but....Well 95% of them I will never ever ever use..a Waste of my time. I would rather sit around making original generic Maps which I don't have to worry about making sure a disclaimer is Worded precisely right or making Maps for 3rd Party Publishers providing High RES Maps for their Customers and Getting paid. Charity only gets you so far in life.

If I ever do need them...I can make then in little or no time. I won't have to worry about no disclaimer. I don't have to worry about storing them somewhere..And I can change what ever I want on them.

Liberty's Edge

Took a look at Many of the other Fan provided Maps...cough cough...I must be blind because I don't see something.

Instead I will just concentrate on my own Maps to sale and on Commissions from 3rd party publishers.

Several have asked for sample Maps and are looking to provide both VTT Battle Maps and 600 DPI versions of Maps with their products.

Seems that the response is always the Same when people ask for VTT Maps ....Cut and Paste from PDF and a blind eye gets turned.

Even Told Paizo I have no problem letting them distribute the maps but naw....they don't wanna do that either.

I believe they exist within each PDF (can't check at the moment), just not as a separate package.

Please clarify..

Are you saying that if you purchase the adventure path you get Interactive Maps?

None of the Adventure Paths PDFS I have seen have included Interactive Maps. You just get the Standard Maps..None have been interactive.

You know if Paizo provided 1"=5' Scaled Maps in VTT (50/72 DPI) and DIY Printable (300/600 DPI) Grid and NonGrid Versions all this could be avoided....

:) :) :) :) :)

and
if they have a Forum for Maps it would make it easier to share here instead of people having to google around the web to find usable maps

Liberty's Edge

I recreate the Maps as close as possible to the Original layout as possible.

(Sorry I can't do Good Circular walls and I tend to remodel rooms to eliminate Diagonals, as those 1/2 Squares tend to be hard to use with minis). I use Art From Dundjinni and Campaign Cartographer Art packs.

I use Campaign Cartographer 3/Campaign Cartographer 3+

I have never required anyone to make any payment nor a Donation in order to access any Recreated Paizo Map...Any and All Maps recreated are shared freely with anyone who wishes to use them. I also do not change any Quality for people who donate. If I make a 72 and a 300 or 600 DPI version everyone gets access to those files. I don't just give the higher resolution to the person who sent the Money.

I will try and always make at least a 72 DPI grid and Non grid version of the maps to be used in VTT in PNG Format and a 300 or 600 Grid and Nongrid for people wanting to print out.

I have Posted the Maps on several Sites ...Cartographer's Guild and on Deviantart and "No Payment or Donation" has ever been required in order to view or Download. Any and All Maps recreated based on the Paizo Maps are accessible to anyone free of charge.

The Maps I produce as the Wayward Traveler are 100% my own Concept nor do I claim they are Pathfinder or Paizo products, but since I made a whole $21 last year on Sales I may just make them free from now on also.

Every Where I post the files I do tell people that they are based on the Work of the Original Cartographers and credit them. And I do tell people what Paizo Product they are made for.

Maps are recreated entirely on my spare time and I will try and recreate them in order of request. Maps I need come first as I need them

And I have offered to do them for Paizo Officially without charging them an Arm and a Leg...even for free.

Clerics are proficient with all simple weapons, light armor, medium armor, and shields (except tower shields). Clerics are also proficient with the favored weapon of their deities.

So Based on these "Core" class features Alone...
How many would take cleric over fighter if they did not have Divine Abilities?

Seriously, what the f#~# is the point of this line of questioning? It's entirely irrelevant to any aspect of this discussion.

Then why people keep responding...

Each Class has "Abilities" which make them important in the Game...

My response stands if Clerics had no Divine Abilities they are merely Fighters...Only

Clerics are so much more than bandaid boxes.

What are they without Divine Healing?

Fighters :)

Ninth-Level spellcasters with ok BAB and HD, access to an incredibly versatile list of spells once you account for Domain Spells, cool superpowers based on which God you worship and having none of this negatively impacted by what armour you wear.

That's just what you can do without even thinking about Channelling or Spontaneous Cure Spells.

Slightly more impressive than a Fighter.

What are without their Divine Abilities?

A Way to use those Dice for a bit of "Character fun time" in a Tavern or even along the trail.

I really need to start submitting Locales with Maps

A question for those of you that have used either of these.

I run our home game through a projector pointing down at the tabletop.

Currently I have been using Syncrpg, a mod of Maptools to do this, but have been thinking about switching. Paying a few bucks to cut out hours of prep is worth it in my book.

So what one would work better for a projector?

What I do with Syncrpg is have a GM session on my laptop, with the projector showing a second copy of the program joined as a player.

Would be nice if Someone came up with an All in one..Offline Application.

I simply use my Projector and scale the Map to size in Windows Picture Viewer...since we use real minis no need for a program to do movement
