I guess Absalom's a bit too far from Varisia...
'Long-Leg' Greg ("It's just Greg...") is a quiet, shabby, human teenager who's been slouching about the Grand Lodge, looking annoyed at everything (and, to the more observant, maybe a little bit lost).
Despite the epithet, Greg's only about 5'3, with the broad, square shoulders of a rugby player, and a large square head to match. He looks like someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley (and exactly like someone you would meet in a dark alley).
Greg glowers darkly at the invitation (or at anyone reading it aloud), muttering "Great..." in a tone oozing with sarcasm. Parties, nice clothes, and having a bath are not particularly high on Greg's list of priorities. Ditto leaving the house without a weapon.
(That is, he'll reluctantly wash himself and his clothes. The invitation doesn't mention anything about weapons, so Greg'll try to bring along his dogslicer, with a dagger hidden somewhere as well.)
Don't be stanky! :)

I hope that I do not have to wait another 20+ days past the notification that the order is getting ready before I get my things shipped like the past few months.
I might just decide to be done with being a subscriber and supporting Paizo at the point.

Cori Marie wrote: They have talked about the shipping process many times. They do shipping in batches of like orders. It's not necessarily in the order of the most orders but in the easiest to package and ship together. The order of batching of these batches is not a set order however, and different months are going to behave differently. In a month like this month with lots of products, you're going to see a lot of different combinations, and that's going to have impact on how the shipping process seems to go. Thank you for speaking on Paizo's behalf. I am sure they appreciate it.

It's only my second time with the subscription, but this is taking way longer than last time. I guess it's because there's lots of stuff releasing together? I think it depends on a number of factors.
That being said, for the past 3 or 4 Gen Cons my pdfs and shipments have been released after the shipping dates.
This also happened to me last month. Ah. That would not be ideal. I've got a week long trip at the beginning of the month and I'd rather the book not arrive while I'm away. Well, fingers crossed it'll get here before then. :(
I think that there is nothing wrong in the feelings of disappointment. Don't let others on this board, as some are apt to do, tell you what you should or should not be feeling about it, either way.

Also relax on the PDF hold folks. God forbid you have to wait an extra week for something you get for free. They did the same thing for P2 when it came out and we all lived.
Meh, Paizo isn't entitled to have people be content with delaying the PDFs, especially since all their communication has stated that it would be in our downloads once products shipped.
For me, the main motivator for subscribing is precisely the early-release searchable PDFs, and I view the the physical release book as a discounted bonus. By nuking the early PDF benefit with zero notice, I'm not motivated to subscribe.
It would be one thing if Paizo actually told customers of the very-intentional delay before charging us. But they chose to not do that, depriving us of making an informed decision that's best for our needs. Boo!
Anyways, since my order hasn't shipped, I just emailed customer service telling them to cancel it and revoke my subscription. I don't want this scummy business practice to affect me any longer than it needs to. I agree with you. Don't advertise what is not delivered.

Ken'Thras Sunspell wrote: I have no problem with trying this new system out, but I think it would be a show of good faith to include an option to auto-redeem gold for society scenarios. It would show that the intention isn't "We hope that people forget to redeem their gold for a year so that it expires and they'll have to buy the scenarios rather than getting them for free like they had been".
I mean, the existence of an expiration date on gold already shows that that's the intention, but it would at least alleviate my concerns somewhat if they allowed us to effectively keep the way we had been doing it.
I concur.

The temple, overgrown and long abandoned since the Clone Wars, pulses faintly with the Force. As they explore its halls, your group discovers disturbing signs of desecration—missing artifacts, scorched walls, and a lingering darkness. Echoes of the past linger in the air like ghosts, whispering of betrayal and loss. Bodies of members of the Jedi Order lay strewn about where they fell, some appear to have been eaten by what was probably the Sith Hounds.

A curse shall light upon the limbs of men.
Domestic fury and fierce civil strife
Shall cumber all the parts of Italy.
Blood and destruction shall be so in use,
And dreadful objects so familiar,
That mothers shall but smile when they behold
Their infants quartered with the hands of war,
All pity choked with custom of fell deeds,
And Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice
Cry “Havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war,
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.
