Bump. What's going on?

Either way is fine with me. I am an old guy with a steady job who checks for posts about 10 times a day.

Ivan stands back from the door covering it with this crossbow.

He nods to Servius that he is ready.

Ivan moves with the others doing his best to stay in the middle of the group.

"I have never dwelt on the past. Would things have been different if we had all stayed here? It is hard to tell. All we can do now is try to fix the problem for those who wish to stay or die in the attempt."

Ivan moves out behind Cyrus. Crossbow at the ready.

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

"It has been a long day. Leaving in the morning would be best for all of us.

Classic video game tactic. As we get stronger the enemy gets stronger.
Just like Neverwinter Nights. It did not matter which area you explored first. The game adjust the bad guys to be tougher as you complete each level.

Ivan addresses the group, "Most rituals have a beginning and an end for a reason. If the sites were constructed to lock away an ancient evil then that evil would have been breaking down the enchantments from the last site back to the first. That makes me think that there is an order in which we need to lock down the sites again."

Looking at his grandfather he says, "Grandfather if I understand the history lesson correctly then that would mean The Rasp, The Shine, The Fort, and then the Manor House."

As Ivan watched from by the fire he listens to the others all ask questions at once.

We have gone from family members to an adventuring troop. Bound together with the goal of saving our family homeland. What did our ancestors do to bring this down on Raven's Hollow and can we stop it?

Ivan listens intently while throwing another log on the fire.

Moving over to stand by the fire Ivan states, "Agreed. Things seem to have changed for the worse since I was last here. Why has the family estate been abandoned?"

Ivan sits quietly for the rest of the trip thinking about the events that had just unfolded and how his homeland has fallen this far.

Maybe someone at home knows and maybe we can fix it."

Ivan will help with the bodies. As they burn he speaks to the coachman.

"There must be rumors as to why this is happening to the land. What have you heard?"

Pacific time zone for me. Thee hours behind you Meteor Strikes.

Ivan exits the far side of the carriage and attempts to make his way to the sleeping bandit.

"Let them live. I have questions for them." He shouts to the others.

Honor Bound it is and now let the fun begin.

Ivan has sat quietly in the middle of the seat to avoid any draft from the window. He is bundled up in a think fur coat and hat. I fear I will not be warm again until I return to the academy.

When the wagon stops he will move to a window on the side of the wagon where the bandit is speaking.

If combat breaks out:

Cast magic missile at the speaker Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 and then load his crossbow

Anyone want to go Honor-Bound with me?

The way I read the creation rules is that we each had to take a Family Trait from the list and then one other trait.
Cyrus and Heiron did not pick a family trait that I can tell.
Everyone else is taking Tight-Bond for the trait but none of your backgrounds validate this trait.

Whether siblings, spouses, or dedicated members of the same clan, characters who take this trait are an inseparable pair committed to each other.

Special: Your partner or partners must also have this trait.

Benefit(s): You gain a +1 trait bonus on Will saves against charm and compulsion effects if a partner is within 60 feet, increasing to +3 against a command to compromise your relationship or harm a partner.

I would think that Honor-Bound would fit the backgrounds better.

The family's honor is tied to a shared goal binding you all together. With the aid of the GM, choose a task that your family is bound to accomplish.

Benefit(s): Once per day, when you are within 60 feet of another character with this trait, you can gain a +1 trait bonus on a single saving throw or skill check when progress toward the goal is directly at stake (at the GM's discretion).

Ivan is ready.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

I think Ivan is ready for review.

Here is Ivan Ravenholdt.
I need to rework the equipment but I think it is complete.

Having lived the last several years in a far off school of magic he has received the call to come home. Forsaking his studies he set out to help the family in their time of need.

Here is a cleric for your campaign.

Dotting.
I will update when I get home

I think I am ready. Let me know if I missed anything.

I well rework Brother Ivan and submit him

This is just like a job interview. You got through it and hoped you had all the right answers but you feel you could have done just a little bit better.

Now you wait for that call to see if you got the job. You obsessively check for any message that will give you a clue if you made it or not.

Good Luck to everyone!

GM Harker:
This is the way that I see Brother Ivan.
Brother Ivan is a native Ustalavian who knows that his country is under constant threat from the undead forces that lurk there. He learned of these things from his time with Brother Nicholas, who told him stories of his adventures in vanquishing the evil from the land. He wants to help bring peace and healing to his country. To do this he must go out and fight the evil at its source. Sarenrae has given him her blessing in this task and he will call upon her power to cleanse the land of evil and bring peace to the people. He has now finished his training in the church and is ready to begin his quest.

I submit Brother Ivan of the Church of Sarenrae for your review.

He is going to clean up undead problem in Ustalav.

I am on my computer, tablet, or phone all day long so posting will not be a problem.
