happy thanksgiving to you as well, and to the other folks. I'll be watching MST3K's Turkey Day marathon :)

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

enjoyed this a lot. We had a good group, meshed well, and had fun. If others want to continue (in the future), I'm certainly up for it
Thanks again for doing this. It was a nice intro to Starfinder :)

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

ugh, this Tier 4 thing is killing us. I wanted to try a fly-by but there's almost no way to make that roll, even with a +11

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

ugh, watch them beat the snot out of us when we thought we had them dead to rights
Pilot(Slide): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
"Well that didn't help our situation. Hard to starboard guys." She pulls the ship to within feet of the large asteroid as she tries to put some distance between the Odyssey and the enemy. They probably know that the starboard and front shields are vulnerable so she wants to protect those from direct assault.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

every time we think we're in the clear!
I'm thinking at this point, we might just want to stand still and duke it out. Any objections/other suggestions?

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Pilot(evade): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 taking one of the +1's

"They've got to be hurting after that hit. We're going in for the kill. Captain, you're free, of course, to offer terms for their surrender."

Iseph smiles as she brings the ship around to bear on the foe. Fortunately, dodging these smaller asteroids provides a pretty good pattern of evasion.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

no worries, I was unavailable most of the day. And since I won the piloting check, it's the Lawblight's move now :)

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Pilot(Evade): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 (Taking one of the +1's)

Iseph streaks toward the aft of the enemy while performing a series of maneuvers to keep the Lawblight from getting a lock on their ship.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

can i assume that the malfunctioning power core is meant to be listed on the other ship and not ours?

Quote:

Odyssey Condition:

HP: 85/85
Fore Shields: 20/20
Port Shields: 15/15
Starb. Shields: 15/15
Aft Shields: 15/20
Damaged systems: Power Core (Malfunctioning)

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

With 'zaya pissed and Quig reinforcing her, Iseph decides, aww to hell with it. "We're coming about!" She spins the ship on it's axis, turning the ship 180 degrees.
turn in place action

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph pilots the ship closer to one of the asteroids, hoping to use the rock as a shield. Unfortunately, that shielding goes both ways. She hopes that 'zaya will still be able to get off a clean shot with her evasive maneuvers.

btw, if anyone ever wants to shout out any ideas about ship combat, where to fly, special maneuvers, by all means, I'm open to suggestions.

Evade: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

"Quig, if you can boost the engines again, we may just have one hell of a surprise for them. 'zaya... fire when ready!"
I think if we get 1 or 2 more points of movement, we'll be out of the arc of the front of their ship and we can attack from the side or behind with one of our turrets. They have a turret, but the fore guns are their main ones. Course, we may also just get blown to smithereens :)

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

"Zaya, these asteroids are kind of in the way. I'll try not to have them block your line of fire too often." Unfortunately, the Odyssey isn't quite as maneuverable as our last ship, but it's tougher and more heavily armed.
Quig's boost gives us +2 to speed or +1? I took +2, but if it's +1, just move us back a step.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

"Out of the frying pan..." Iseph banks hard to avoid the worst of the first volley, but she isn't sure how long she can keep that up.
especially when they roll that high a piloting check
Piloting: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
2 questions: 1) Am I correct that the Odyssey doesn't give any bonus to piloting? 2) Is there a map up yet? Am I just missing it?

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph sounds alarmed. "Strap in folks. We've got a situation." She throws a few switches to activate the maneuvering rockets and gooses the throttle to maximum.
Pilot: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

The ship responds perfectly allowing her to skate past some of the roughest spots.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph stares, stunned at the terrible fury of the vesk, and maybe, just a little bit more nervous about her companion. "Um, well done, 'zaya. You okay?" Silently she thinks, Please don't make me turn the cannon on her, too. Hmph, not that I'd hit her.
Coming out of her shock, she invites Quig to come take a look at the cannon. Maybe we can make some use out of it.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

ha! apparently, my work with the cannon is just extra anyway. I should just use my pistol next time

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

you're probably okay where you are, just try not to get hit

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

"C'mon, c'mon." Iseph tries to correct for the tilt of the gun pod.

does anyone have gunnery proficiency?

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Running up to the cannon, Iseph does her best to ready it to fire. "Come on and work!"
it only took a move action to get there, so she should have a standard left if anything needs 'doing' to evaluate/ready the gun

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

of course! grenades always work well

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph calls out to the group, "You brought grenades, right?" as she tears off toward the cannon.
double move to run toward the gun.
GM: I assume the +10, +5 things represent some sort of terrain. Are we slowed down?

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

"I have to disagree, 'zaya. I find this planet most inhospitable." She checks her pistol, unsure if it will even penetrate that beast's hide. "What do you think? Does that gun look functional to you?"

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph breaks out the duct tape to help Quig patch his suit.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph does her best to maneuver around the asteroids. "Sure would be a shame to have an easy approach...just for once." She's trying her best to be sarcastic, but it comes across rather wooden.

Pilot: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

A number of smaller rocks ping off the surface of the ship. "Oh I hope those don't leave a mark. Quig, you can buff that out, right?"

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

if we can get lvl 2 items, why dont they freakin call them LVL 1 items?! wouldnt that make sense? starting items could be lvl 0 or something. yeesh

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

"On the plus-side, there was no recording of their bodies being added to the crew of the Threnody. So they may actually still be alive." She wants to be hopeful, but the odds are not in the other crews' favor.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Computer Aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Computer Aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

does the Aid another action still exist? Can we try to help Quig with his computer rolls? And can we still Take 10? If so, Computer Aid: Take 10 +6=16. If not, feel free to roll for me. If we can't aid, it's more of a "You got this, Quig."

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Attack blue, unless he drops, then attack green. I can do a trick attack with either. Unless 'zaya KO's them both first.
trick attack:full round action(move+attack), does extra damage if Stealth beats opponent's CR+20, and opponent is flat-footed

Iseph's knife moves like lightning, catching her opponent off-guard.
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 Damage: 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1) + 1 = 3
great attack, sucko damage

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

trick attack:full round action(move+attack), does extra damage if Stealth beats opponent's CR+20, and opponent is flat-footed

Iseph moves to stab the (red) undead creature with her blade...
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27 sweet
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 Damage: 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 3) + 1 = 5

Her knife hits home, but the wound isn't very deep.

sorry not to post earlier, internet issues.

Leaving the dead (un-undead?) enemy, Iseph rushes to back up her comrades.
trick attack:full round action(move+attack), does extra damage if Stealth beats opponent's CR+20

Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29 success=+1d4 Damage, target flat-footed

swift action draw with upgrade slot, attack

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
looks like a miss

Her knife seems to pass through his clothes and part of his skin, but doesn't do any damage.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Having been thoroughly annoyed by the ship-to-ship combat, Iseph is itching to finish these guys. She sprints forward, almost a blur, and fires with her tactical pistol.
trick attack:full round action, does extra damage if Stealth beats opponent's CR+20

Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18 that's a fail, no extra damage
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2 P

Unfortunately, it's only a grazing shot.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

ha! good point about vacuum!

Iseph smiles and nods. "After you."

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph pulls her pistol out as she flits about the room, checking to see if anyone is coming to intercept them. "It may be best if I take point. I can see in the dark and am good at being silent."

She turns to the ysoki. "Quig, does the computer have a layout of the ship? Is one way better than another?"

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph nods and closes the valves on her suit to seal it against the vacuum of space. She also checks to make sure her pistol is fully loaded. "Ready."

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Iseph pulls the Loreseeker up to the rear of the Threnody. The gaping holes in the hull make docking a little tricky, but not impossible. "Captain Arvin, do you have any orders regarding the Threnody's crew?"

She opens the buckles on her seat to rise and heads to meet the others.

As the crew gathers, she gives the vesk a hardy slap on the shoulder. "Nice shooting. Let's get what we need and get out. I don't want to stay here any longer than necessary."

are we able to scan their ship for their crew complement? I'm just curious how many hostiles we need to be prepped for.

"Blu, did you want someone to stay with the ship?"

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

Feeling the burst of power thrum the the engines, Iseph executes a quick turn and throttles the engines to top speed.

"Way to go, Quig!" Taking advantage of the Threnody's impairment, she deftly flies out of the radius of their opponent's main gun. "Got a clear shot for you, 'zaya."

moved the ship so that our undamaged starboard shields are facing the Threnody

"You may wish to hang on tight." Iseph flips a few switches and corkscrews the ship off to the port side of the Threnody. "I do not want that forward cannon to hit us again."

having a bit of trouble positioning the ship, but basically I'm flying very close to where their current port side is. They don't get AoO unless you go through their hex, right? If I'm wrong on that, I will reposition

well, our luck couldn't hold out forever... can Capt Blu do that Demand action to add +4?

"Quig, you may want to juice the weapons while you have the chance. I gotta funny feeling you'll be doing repairs in the near future."

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'

well, if they did have rear guns, I'd just be maneuvering my ass off to stay in their weakest attack arc anyway :)

Seeing the Threnody flounder, but wary in case it's a trap, Iseph pulls the ship into a simple loop, putting a little distance between our ship and theirs.

"Fire at will," she says into the comm.

F Android Ace Pilot Operative-1 | HP10/10 SP6/6 RP5/5 | EAC14 KAC15 | F+2 R+6 W+2 | Init+5, Perception+5, Darkvision 60'
