Large eyes glitter in the darkness for a moment before the cat turns and pads across the room and back up the stairs into the light of day, barely making a sound as he moves.

As he emerges from the cellar, he winds his way around Aura's legs for a moment before sitting down and taking up position like some sort of miniature sentry.

Indigo's nose twitches at the whiff of human stink and grime on the wind...and worse. The stench of death. His eyes widen and his fur fluffs up, a soft hisssss emanating from his throat. He knows the big cat and the vermin-man can smell it too, even before words are spoken.

"Pozor! Dnevna in mrtvi sprehod v bližini..." he whispers into Lenneth's ear.

Familiar Speak:

"Beware! The living and the dead walk close by..."

Inactive

Indigo peeks out from his usual riding place in Lenneth's backpack. As much as he'd hated being carried around in it at first, over time he'd gotten used to it. It did have the advantage of letting him effectively watch Lenneth's back in a very literal sense, which he does now as the group begins their trek.

Poor, sad human eyes. You need all the help you can get...

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Inactive

Strange...but not a danger. Not right now.

As Aura wraps the blanket tighter around herself, Indigo gives the child a soft head bunt and then calmly turns to look at Lenneth.

Inactive

As his mistress sets about clothing the young girl, Indigo approaches the child cautiously and gives her a sniff.

Is this Aura? A human child...or something else?

Sense Motive (Little Girl): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Inactive

Fort (DC 15): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Indigo suddenly hunkers down into the grass, growing very, very still as pain and discomfort ripple through his little body. From up ahead, he can sense more than see that Lenneth and the others seem to be suffering from similar pains.

"It hurts...feel weak..."

Though his body doesn't reject the rotten food, he has to resist the instinctive urge to make it come up by chewing on the nearby grass.

Inactive

"Someone will lose an eye if they try."

Indigo trails some distance behind the group as they approach Whitecliff, not particularly worried about staying right behind them since he knows he will catch up to Lenneth and the others soon enough.

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Indigo also has low-light vision, in case it makes a difference.

Inactive

Okay, if there's a way for Indigo to get up to the roof without needing someone to put him there, then that's what we'll do. Besides stealth and perception, does he need to make some climb checks?

If cats could give dubious looks, you have a feeling that that is exactly what Indigo would be doing right now as Lenneth makes her request. He gazes silently up at her for a long moment, then blinks. He looks around the room at the group of on-edge and very frightened people and then back at Lenneth.

"Zelo dobro, če bo to pomagalo vam in vaši prijatelji spati lažje. Ampak hiter pogled je vse; Jaz ne fancy pa predjed za to...stvar, če se skriva tam gor!" he responds, an air of resignation in his tone.

Familiar Speak:

"Very well, if it will help you and your friends sleep easier. But a quick look is all; I don't fancy being an appetizer for that...thing if it's lurking up there!"

Inactive

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Fur still bristling slightly from the ruckus, Indigo watches as Sel returns to her bedroll and then returns to his perch on top of Cyn's back.

Inactive

"Zelo dobro. Dobro spali, ljubico," Indigo replies as he begins to wash himself with one paw. Once finished with his bath, he cautiously sniffs Cyn for a moment before hopping up onto her back and curling up, tucking his paws underneath him and looking like an oversized fuzzy rock.

Awake at Midnight? (1-50% Yes, 51-100% No): 1d100 ⇒ 58

Time passes and though the small cat seems to be asleep at first glance, those watching more closely see the occasional glint as the dim light is reflected in his eyes, giving off an eerie orange glow. However, as midnight swiftly approaches Indigo's breathing slowly becomes deeper and more regular as he too, drifts off to sleep...

Familiar Speak:

"Very well. Sleep well, mistress."

Inactive

Reflex (DC 15): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

As soon as Indigo's whiskers brush against the sticky web he stops and backs away to stand next to his mistress. Eyes wide and glinting faintly from the light of the torch, he too stops to listen for the source of the moan.

Danger is near...be ready to run...

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Man, I wish I could roll like this more often!

Inactive

"Fleeing would be best but if you insist, I'll do what I can."

Indigo creeps along just ahead of Lenneth, body low to the ground and eyes open for signs of trouble.

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Indigo is also paying attention to what his nose tells him, ala the Scent ability.

Inactive

Fort (DC 14): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19

The extra fortifications and body heat seem to finally do the trick and Indigo seems much more like his usual self upon waking the next morning. As he sits grooming himself, he listens as Lenneth shares some of her inner thoughts and turmoil with him regarding Lachen. After a pause, he looks up.

"He seems complicated. Lilith already told you to be careful; all I can say is that if his goals and ours are the same then we have no quarrel."

Of course all that anyone else who is close enough might happen to hear from the cat is simply a series of short meows and chirrups.

Inactive

Fort (DC 14): 1d20 ⇒ 3

Despite being kept close and warm next to Lenneth, Indigo still seems sluggish the next morning and eats little. While the group discusses what to do, he sits next to his mistress, paws tucked under his body and eyes closed. As Lenneth absently scratches his head, his eyes open slightly and he meows softly.

"Maow..."

"I still don't feel good. Let me sleep in your pack when we go, okay?"

If no one else needs healing the previous night, Indigo could use a little from Valex. If not, Lenneth can heal him today.

Stabilize: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (4) - 4 = 0

You've got this part guys, keep it up!

Inactive

Stabilize: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (10) - 3 = 7

Though his mistress' bleeding seems to have been stopped in the eleventh hour by Flynn's timely assistance, the tiny figure lying in the shadows nearby continues to slowly pool his lifeblood onto the floor...

I'll keep making his rolls but don't worry about Indigo *just* yet; he's still got a few more rounds thankfully.

Inactive

Will (DC 15): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Indigo yowls as the unholy energy pervades the room, his pain and that of his mistress echoed in his cry, before collapsing nearby.

Inactive

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Fur standing on end from the shared vision between himself and Lenneth, Indigo's ears pick up the unmistakable sounds of screaming from up above. The small one apparently hears it too, for he turns and immediately heads back in the direction that they had just came from. He then hears the mental call of his mistress.

"Yes. No danger here, but danger above!"

With that, he turns and speeds back towards the others.

Inactive

"I can't see in the dark, so I can't and won't go far."

Indigo turns and slowly begins to make his way down the western corridor, making a left when he reaches the intersection. He keeps his body low to the ground, eyes (and nose) open wide for signs of trouble.

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Unfortunately, even with his low light vision, Indigo quickly finds it difficult to see much once he turns the corner away from Lenneth and the rest of the group.

Inactive

Quick as a flash, Indigo breaks from the cover of his hiding place and moves to stand next to Lenneth. Fur standing on end and eyes wide, he hisses at the approaching groaners.

Fight? Or run?

For fun as well as an attempt to give Indigo a little more presence and personality than he's had so far, hehe.

Inactive

Indigo gazes back at Lenneth and slowly blinks his large eyes at her before turning and slinking off into the undergrowth, heading in the general direction of where the bandit encampment is supposed to be...

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Inactive

Fort (DC 16): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Con Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

Indigo also seems listless this morning, trailing after his mistress with less enthusiasm than normal...

Inactive

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Unable to discern anything over the sounds of the driving rain, Indigo attempts to clamber back down the rafters and join back up with his mistress and her friends as they gather around Kaiya's still form.

Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Once back on solid ground, he pads over to Lenneth and the rest. He looks at Kaiya and then to his mistress.

"Maow..."

Couldn't help...Sorry...

Inactive

Noting that the groaners have ignored him so far, Indigo studies the walls of the barn...seeing a spot that he might be able to latch on to, he prepares himself and leaps...

Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

At last, his claws seem to find purchase in the wood!

If he can, Indigo will climb onto the rafters and attempt to move towards Kaiya; if it seems like she might react in a hostile manner or do something that will endanger herself then he'll stop and hold his ground.

Inactive

Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Indigo tries, but is unable to find purchase with his claws, scrabbling uselessly at the wall of the barn. He looks around for an easier way up or to at least see if he can spot Polonius or the child.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Sorry for the delay, long and busy day...

Inactive

Indigo gazes back into his mistress' eyes for one long moment, almost as if testing her resolve to ask this task of him. Then, he hunkers low to the ground and edges towards the barn, eyes wide and gleaming in the dim light.

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21

Is there a good way for Indigo to attempt to climb up to the rafters from the outside or does he need to make additional checks to try and scoot through the melee at the door without being noticed?

Inactive

Indigo blinks slowly at his mistress' command, giving her a curious look. However, almost as if sensing her uneasiness, he stands up and slowly stretches as she stands back up and heads out the door. After a moment, he quietly begins to pad along behind her.

Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

Inactive

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Indigo continues staring at Lenneth, almost as if he's fully aware of how much she does not want to have to go back outside. After what seems like a long pause, he lets out a single meow, as if in affirmation to her question. He then narrows his eyes slightly and continues to stare at her, as if asking, "What will you do about it?"

Inactive

Hearing the noises of combat from the basement stop, Indigo watches from his perch as Lenneth comes back up the stairs and returns to where she had been preparing a place to sleep. He climbs down from the shelf and pads across the room to her side, curling up for a nap.

Inactive

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Indigo happily chows down on the trail rations that Lenneth shares with him, paying little attention to anything else. As the others stir around and call out, he stops eating and looks towards the staircase.

Inactive

As Lenneth speaks, the small cat cautiously crawls out of her backpack and looks around. Seemingly satisfied that it is in fact safe, he then looks at Lenneth and the others, almost as if to say, "What now?"
