I have 2 channels and 3 nondomain 1st level slots left. I'd like to keep a divine favor or two around for combat purposes though, unless I absolutely have to lose it. "I suppose there's spiders and then there's spiders. Here," she touches Yirrik's shoulders, and some of his wounds mend with golden light. CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

"I think we passed a door, back in the first hallway." Ilya starts backtracking, stopping at the door she talked about. "So Yirrik, hate to ask you to get hurt, but could you check for traps and stuff?" She also gives the door a lookover herself. Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

"Hey! Nice find, Perfire." Emboldened by his find, Ilya will pick up the gross-looking bucket and empty it in one corner of the room, to see if there's anything interesting in it beyond the blood. Yuck, this is so gross...

Ayy healbot! We could keep going for a while, I think. I'd really love to haul some loot back to town soon, so I can get around to crafting some scrolls of CLW. That way we won't be so constrained by per day resources.

Ilya rolls her shoulder, grimacing with pain from the impact. "Yeah, I'm good. We're in pretty bad shape huh? I think I can fix most of that." Making her way around the cage, careful to keep her distance from the thing inside, she motions for people to huddle up. [b]"Wealthy Father, grant us strength that we might prevail in this vault of the earth."[b] With that, she lits her key-shaped amulet up, and lets golden light cover the party, pulsing slightly as their wounds are gradually restored. Channel to heal #1: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Everyone gets 10 hp back.

Something homebrew, most likely. I have a behind-the-scenes ritual system set up for magic beyond 3rd level, so he's going to be using that to achieve his lichdom and make his ghosts. The rituals can run off of blood sacrifice, sacrificed spell slots or sites of power (basically ley-line hotspots, sort of thing), and he's used the ley-line at his cave to make himself immortal. It only keeps him alive while he's near it though, so he only gets to leave his cave for a number of years equal to his natural lifespan ever, and he's already wasted a good ten years on various errands. Obviously, he's royally pissed that the red hand is going to press him into leaving his cave to lay siege to Brindol. As for fighting him, I'll have to have some more minions around to make the fight a challenge. I might have his phylactery be something a little more tied to the site than it currently is, maybe.

I'm running it as e6, so I'll be using different conversions to account for that - but thanks for the link! They're fighting Koth at the moment - I went draconic for his bloodline to stay on theme, I'm a little surprised you went with infernal?

Ilya will collect her sword from the floor and set the crossbow back on her belt. Once everyone is out of the pit, she'll collect her rope before following Perfire into the madman's lab. She pays special attention to the green rock thing. Is it like the same glass that the goblin-infested spire above them is build from? Perception, I guess?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

"I think it's dead, Perfire," Ilya says, her tone gentle, trying to calm the angry hobgoblin down. She unhooks the coil of rope she's been carrying over her shoulder, and unties the knot that kept it tidy, before going looking for somewhere to tie it off, (if nothing else she'll try to tie it to the doorknob) before dropping the other end into the pit. "There we go. It should be doable to climb up with that."

I thought you said we couldn't reach the spider, and it was slinging webs at distance and stuff just before; I don't get how I'm now shooting into melee? As for carrying a loaded crossbow, I guess some DM's just do it differently, no issues there. I'll draw and load, as you say.

Ilya leans over the edge of the pit, and lets holy energy flow from her symbol. It'll get Wymond back on his feet, at least. Channel positive energy, Yirrik, Wymond and Spider: 1d6 ⇒ 4

After coming awake, Ilya spends some time in quiet contemplation. To all appearances, she's simply kneeling with her head bowed and eyes closed. Any of the rest of you looking closely will note that her lips are moving slightly, as if she's reciting something under her breath. Finally, she rises from her knees, ready to face the day. I prepare the same spells as yesterday, with an addition of a Divine Favor and Detect Magic.

"I'm not opposed to resting a while. It's best to be well prepared, when delving into the unknown." She takes a look at the various scratches and bruises the party has picked up, not to mention her own smarting midsection. Deciding they probably need it, she opens the conduit to her deity, and allows healing energy to wash over them. Channel energy, 1 use: 1d6 ⇒ 5 That should take care of our hp damage. I'd still like to rest,

Ilya transfers her sword to her shield hand, grabs the golden sigil around her neck and lets a wave of invigorating energy flush over the party. Channel to heal, we're looking a little cut up here.: 1d6 ⇒ 2 That done, she quickly transfers the sword back to her right hand.

1: we run back home for a scroll of darkvision(150gp) and come back here and kill him easy. 2: we descend further into the tower looking for whatever it is he wants us to kill, and come back when we're level 2 and have enough hp (and smite evil) to take him down.

"Well, he wouldn't give us passage if he was sure he could take us. It's an 'on pain of death' kind of bargain? Hear that?" she spoke up into the darkness. "For all you boast, we've bled you pretty well."

I know he really cares about the pig, but I see no good way for him to get at the goblins down south. In light of that, I say we try to box in the leader now that he's dropped his morning star, so he'll have to provoke to shoot with his bow. Accordingly, Wymond double moves around the grease inside the tower, coming up behind Grulk. Edit: I put him there on the map now.

"Thank Abadar!" Whether a prayer or instruction for Wymond is not entirely clear. Ilya can't see a good way to get at the goblin archers, so she closes in with the leader instead, following him into the darkness edging around the grease, and slashes at him with her shining sword as soon as he comes into sight. falcata, divine favor vs Grulk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17, 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 The arrow is still stuck in her shield, a feathered twig sticking out of the wood.

Ilya follows the "scouts" north, The light of her sword seemingly eaten by the darkness surrounding them. Finding Wymond down and injured at the feet of "grulk", she does her best to get him back on his feet with a prayer and a touch, the warrior's wounds partially closing. Divine Favor converted to CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
