Ickeckess begins flicking his forked tongue into the air as he tries to pick up the scent the gillman talked about. He grips his strange weapon in his hand staring with lidless eyes in the direction of the tunnel.

Ickeckess is surprised that the gillman took this long to notice them. "We are explorersssssss... sssssssent to document thissssssss cavern." The reptilian humanoid considers for a moment, with his unblinking eyes locked onto the gillman. "Why is a man of water ssssssso far from the sssssssea."

"Yesssss. Sssssso it sssssseems we have found our objective."
Ickeckess casts detect magic to see if the cave is magical in any way.

When Ickeckess catches up, he drops all of his supplies with a loud crash, and without even a greeting, he turns his attention to the faded artwork everyone is examining along the wall. Perception: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 2 = 20
Got distracted by the cloak and that you guys are on the identifications. Missed the GM post on the plank. Finding the plank across the pit, Ickeckess tests it for firmness before deciding it's safe to cross. He then picks up the axe and packs, and drags them along, the axe blade making a loud scraping noise as it runs along the cavern floors, as he tries to catch up with the others.

Doing some catchup here, as I stopped checking this one daily and totally missed the retcon. That was a really bad dream. I thought I was cut in half. Ickickess walks into the chamber dragging a couple of large packs and an oversized axe. It looks like he has been grabbing items from the dead while the others were figuring out how to get across the pit. He throws the gear across looking at ways to get across himself. He hisses, "how did you all get acrossssss thisssss infernal pit."

Ickekess grips his shield in one hand, and his whiplike blade in the other, beginning to whirl it around, and snapping it at the minotaur several times both looking for an opening, and maneuvering around to ensure that his teammates have clear shots at the minotaur. 5 foot step so that I'm not providing any cover. Now the tough choice, attack or try one last time to stare at it before it squishes me. Ickeckess considers his next move, knowing it might be his last. He begins to sway as if he is going to try and lull the minotaur again, but quickly whips his Urami towards the foul creature, hoping to catch it off guard. attack, inspire, bless: 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 15
Crosses fingers and hopes for the best. (Really hoping that the archers can do enough because I don't like my odds.)

Ickeckess tried not to panic at seeing his gaze ineffective and his companions falling quickly to the minotaurs axe. He tries once again to catch the creatures's gaze, swaying slightly from side to side, and to get it's attention on his reptilian eyes. "SSSSSSSSleep beassssssst. Sssssssssleep." Venomous Stare (DC 13 Will) (Sp) 30' Gaze attack deals 1d6+1 nonlethal damage and fascinates target until the beginning of my next turn. Venomous Stare (nonlethal): 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 He then increases the distance from the creature, hoping the arrows from his companions would fell the beast.
Ickeckess advances on the bovine beast with a surprising calm. He locks his reptilian gaze on the minotaur's eyes and gently sways his body and head back and forth, in a motion that can only be described as serpent-like. His tongue flickers slightly as he tries to lull the creature to sleep. I advanced to within 30 feet of the minotaur and use:

Ickickess boldly advances towards the minotaur, whipping around his strange blade and starting a chant to himself. "Queen sorceress, let your magic rain over me and my new allies, granting us victory over this lesser mammal." Bless spell covering the party including Janira, and moved forward 30 ft.
Going a bit out of order since Hal hasn't posted, but want to make sure I'm not holding anything since I may not be able to post this evening, and I think this is all going to resolve itself pretty quickly before morning. Ickeckess brushes some mosquitos from his scales before grasping the serpent entwined with a lotus flower that hangs from his neck and holds it forth. A cool white light emanates from the symbol, flowing over both Ickeckess and Gregor. Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 3 This will heal some of the damage done, and more importantly, stop the bleeding. As the light retreats back into the symbol, Ickeckess makes haste to move away from the mass of mosquitos. Full 30' move action away from them, avoiding being near others if possible.

Ickeckess looks curiously at the paper and writing supplies, cocking his head to one side. He throws it in his backpack where it is likely to be quickly forgotten. He pats the steel belt wrapped around his waste. "I have all I need."
Ickeckess may be trying to convey some amount of confusion, but it is hard to read his reptilian unblinking eyes. "I believe you musssst be misssssstaken. I am no exsssspert on the Kortossss Mountainssss, but I believe there isssss little water there. Are you ssssssure it was a fisssssh man you sssssssaw."
A reptilian figure steps forward to the table, looking back and forth with unblinking eyes from the scrap of paper with the invitation, to the elf leaving the table, and then focuses on the Halfling. He moves with swaying motions, his black scales glistening and outshining his chain shirt. A symbol of a lotus flower with a serpent coiled around it hangs on a chain from his neck, and a steel belt with surprisingly sharp looking edges wraps several times around his waste. Only hearing the end of the halfling's speech, flicks his forked tongue several times before speaking. "What isssss a gillman?" |
