"Looking at him I would say it is unsurprising that he would be adept at unarmed combat." Seeing Suli hand Grundersnutt a particularly sealed letter. "Oh! I have one of those too! Mine was addressed to me. Filigree?" Honor seems to be a bit confused by Grundersnutts words. After a few moments of pondering. "Wait did you say slave?"
A beautiful Kelishite woman clad mostly like a belly dancer, but carrying several fairly large weapons, steps out of Skyreach. Her haramaki is worn on her hips and seems to glow and shimmer. She smiles broadly at the large exotic man and the gnome. ”Ah Grunder! So good to see you again.” She reaches down to pinch the gnome’s cheek slightly. “How come you didn’t tell me about your friend there. He is a sight that all Arshaeans would be glad to behold. A pleasure to meet you sir! I am Honor, and I’d love to get to know you.” Honor winks at the large man when she says the word know. She also appears to be carrying a similar letter to the one that Suli has.
Honor starts to return the kiss on the lips more passionately than Avelina started, but blushes a bit herself and tries to hide that by returning some rather chaste kisses to the hostess's cheeks. Honor backs up a bit after her greeting. "It is always a pleasure to see you princess. The spirit of Abandon teaches us to express ourselves as we see fit." Honor winks and gives Avelina a knowing expression. bluff to deliver secret message: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Secret Message for Avelina, others need DC 25 sense motive:
Honor is apologetic for her rather public expression knowing that Avelina is quite a bit more reserved in her personal displays than Honor. Honor's blushing is from the realization she likely embarrassed her friend. "Lady Twillika, it is good to see you again. Oh! and such a marvelous friend you have here. Rainbow Legacy, you are a beautiful creature and it does my heart glad to know that Twillika has such a friend. As far as my skill at oration, I have only a small amount of formal training. My mentor Venture Captain Vividsun has much more refined skill than I do; he is able to inspire quite impressive feats of prowess. Though I must admit that his lust for battle is a bit off putting to me, and I suspect most of those gathered here." Honor looks around to the others gathered.
Oh, and you sir have most fiery eyes, your tale makes me happy. The ends are much more important that our individual deeds, so take heart that you were part of such a story even if you feel like you did not personally accomplish much. I am sure there will be more opportunities in your future to do good in this world. Also you raise an important point that as Silver Crusaders we should seek to better everyone around us." Honor politely listens to the folk from Tian-Xia speak, but does not join or interrupt their conversation. Instead she starts adding some foodstuffs to the bag that has been lowered from the ceiling.
A beautiful Qadiran woman, dressed in a fairly elaborate Qadiran noble woman's outfit, walks into the room. Her haramaki glows with a golden radiance and creates an emphasis on her hips that the rest of her clothing would not achieve without it. Her clothing is a mixture of purples and whites. She is wearing a silver necklace that ends with a figure covered in colorful sashes. The woman is also carrying only two of her weapons here, and both are peace bound. Across her back is her nodachi and hanging at her side is her warhammer.
Knowledge Religion or Planes DC 15:
The silver necklace is a holy symbol of the empyreal lord Arshea. "Oh, I'm so sorry I'm late. I just returned from a trip to Rachikan. " Honor looks around, really taking in the spread. She smiles broadly before continuing. "Wow, Avelina dear, such a marvelous party. You look gorgeous today darling. I must say I am always happy to receive an invitation from you. And such a nice mixture of new faces and familiar ones. So to share tales of good deeds, let me see. My most recent travel is but more vanquishing of evil fiends and delivering allies to Mendev, but before that I had a most strange and marvelous adventure seeking the aid of a giant wizard." Spoilers for Curse of the Riven Sky:
"When we reached the cloud giant's castle in the clouds, we found it under attack by other giants. We assisted the besieged and he tasked us with finding out who was attacking him before he'd assist the society with a magic book that we had. We traveled far and eventually I met the most marvelous creature, surely blessed by Arshea. An ettin with features both male and female, including one head of each. I was able to recruit this creature to follow me as a lookout, while I have been instructing it in the ways of Arshea. Anyway we eventually found the person behind the attacks and we were able to talk to her, remove the influence of strange cats from the first cloud giant and helped them solve their differences with much less violence than first seemed needed. I was able to convince the female giant that hatred is not a good way to solve her problems." "We were able to overcome hatred with love and reconciliation rather than violence." Take 10 on perform Oratory for a 25 to deliver her tale.
"Ah but pleasures of the flesh are best shared. Such things are not necessarily to bring the self joy, but to bring joy to others. Not that there is anything wrong in enjoying it yourself either. I do plenty of fighting, and have no intention to stop fighting evil wherever I may encounter it. I encourage my friends to do so as well, and will even look past minor evils if it helps in the destruction of a greater evil, such is my Oath of Vengeance. I especially dislike those that control the actions of others, whether with magic or coercion. That said, I find the time to spread joy and pleasure as well. Physical company is but one way of doing this, I try also to praise peoples beauty and otherwise provide friendly company. I seek to encourage people to express themselves as they wish, without constraints unless such expression would impede or harm others. I find this is as important in my duties to The Spirit of Abandon as destroying irredeemable evil. The Silver Crusade has more to offer than the destruction of evil things, we must also seek to spread light and life to the downtrodden. Show people that there is reason to hope for a better life. I prefer to lead by example in this regard." Honor looks around after her fairly passionate speech. After a moment she seems a bit embarrassed. "Ah, I am sorry if my words offend; I did not intend them in such a manner. The Spirit of Abandon has quite different teachings than The Inheritor, or The Dawnflower, and I feel quite strongly about such things, having sworn a Celestial Obedience to Arshea. I certainly don't mean to say that dedicating one's life to fighting evil is wrong, certainly all here in the Silver Crusade are to be commended for their efforts. Much more so than many of the other members of our Society. Please accept my apology if my words have caused offense, or seemed disrespectful. Such was not my intention." Honor looks directly at the newest person in the group, Voren. "And you sir have the most exquisite eyes, smoldering with the righteous fire of your Goddess."
Turning to regard the new comer, Honor seems a bit confused. "Gardening? hmm... I sometimes wear a veil... Oh I agree there is no reasoning with Demons or the Undead." To the wayang, "I am glad that they are now accepting you for who you are Twillika." Smiling widely at Avelina, "Ah, The Inheritor is certainly beautiful and zealous, and I know that you take some enjoyment from things other than the destruction of evil." Honor winks at Avelina. She keeps her cloak on and wrapped loosely around her though. "But Many of the other followers of The Inheritor I've met don't take the time to see around them the good things that they protect. They are so focused on the good deeds they are doing that they don't take the time to experience the things which they fight so hard to protect. I respect them for their sense of duty and righteousness, but it also makes me a bit sad for them."
". Oh poor Twillika, I try to find the beauty in all that I see and meet, well except perhaps Demons. I don't think there is any beauty to be found there no matter the appearance." Turning to address Grim before he leaves. "I am indeed a follower of Arshea, and a paladin. Sometimes my faith inclines me to be a bit less lawful than my duties as a paladin, but I work hard to balance them in working for the greater good. Yes, we who look to the Spirit of Abandon often get to know people on a fairly intimate level." Honor's attention seems focused on the people she has just met rather than on her friend at this statement.
Sense Motive DC 10:
Honor seems to be trying, though poorly to help lesson Avelina's embarrassment "I have a good deal of respect for The Inheritor, though I find many of her followers are a bit too serious for my preferences. I think it is important that while we are out doing good in the world, we also try to experience the beauty and joy that can be found in it. Many of Iomedae's followers are so focused on the admirable task of the destruction of evil, they don't take enough time for themselves and those around them. May all of the good deities and Empyreal Lords bless you during your next assignment. I was told something about taking a magical book to a Giant Wizard, but nothing seems to have come of it yet. I am still waiting for the proper team to be assembled for the task it seems, oh and forgive me I forgot that this particular state of dress makes you uncomfortable." Honor sets down a backpack and pulls out a cloak to wrap herself in. Turning toward Avelina

A beautiful Qadiran woman, dressed in a manner similar to a belly dancer, walks into the room. She is well muscled, but moves somewhat awkwardly. Just before she is about to walk into a chair, she seems to hear something and steps quite gracefully out of the way. Her haramaki glows with a golden radiance. Her clothing is a mixture of purples and whites. She is wearing a silver necklace that ends with a figure covered in colorful sashes. The woman is also carrying a few weapons, including a nodatchi that seems to be made of Adamantine, a cold iron bardiche, an alchemical silver warhammer, and a couple of chakrams. “I don’t believe I’ve met any of the rest of you. My name is Honor, I just returned after examining the most beautiful, but strange ship. It was made completely out of some sort of crystal. I was told it was ancient and Azlanti by design. Anyway enough of that. I’ve never met a wayang before. You are remarkable, your features are so sharp and defined. You sir, look like an experienced fellow, dressed much like the crusaders from Avelina’s homeland. Your glasses give you quite a distinguished look sir. Oh and a gnome. I’ve only met one gnome that I can recall. He seemed a bit shy, which surprised me. Your eyes are very lovely.”
Perception: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0 No idea the armor isn't real
"Oh what lovely armor dear, it is resplendent. It looks truly marvelous on you. In such attire you must strike fear into the hearts of evil. While I am actually quite clumsy, and one might expect me to wear such attire in battle, I find certain whispers that help me flow just ahead of many blades and claws. Even my mithral shirt seems to slow my ability to get ahead of blows. Oh but recruiting a copper dragon, that is quite a great thing, such a beautiful and noble creature shall surly aid the Crusade. You should really celebrate your victory, perhaps at the Golden Serpent?" Honor winks at Avelina when she mentions the Golden Serpent. "I have aided the crusade directly myself. I lead an army of elven rangers from the Tanglebriar against the fiends of the Worldwound. It was a pretty horrifying experience, but ultimately we triumphed in the field, and I as well as some other pathfinders took the fight to the enemy general and cut the head from the vile demonic snake. I wish such actions were not necessary. That we might instead take the time to enjoy beauty and fine company, but if I must fight evil to help ensure others may live their lives free from such things, then I will. Oh, Suli, if you need help convincing a devotee of Calistria, such as the one Bo mentioned, to help you, I have had some experience with some of her followers. I believe I would have little trouble in persuading them to help you. Also I have some talent at healing the injured, but little talent in combating disease, though I find no personal danger from such things if you'd like help in treating the sick, though I won't lie if asked about worshiping a divine being."
"Yes, I am Honor." Honor takes the note from the dwarf and reads it to herself. She smiles to herself while reading. " Suhaila I do hope you will consider letting me travel with you and Avelina when you set out to the north, but to appears that I have dinner plans for this evening. I wish all of you the best, I must go get ready." Honor goes off to make herself ready to go to dinner this evening.
”Suhaila is quite right. It is very important to make time to enjoy ourselves and experience the good things in life so we are reminded of why we combat the darkness. Arshae teaches ourselves to enjoy each other’s company exalting in expression and physical beauty, but it goes deeper than that. Only by knowing the precious things in life can we understand why it is important to honor the good and the innocent.” Turning to Avelina “Oh, I am glad you are alright, if you need more water let me know, I can create some if you need more help.”

It seems that indeed this Thunderlips and his lady are in no need of assistance, and we have a lovely journey to be undertaken. Suli I am quite impressed by your feat of redemption, it is quite a rare story to hear of a Vampire redeemed and restored to Paladinhood. I sometimes find myself filled with too much ire in the face of evil due to my Oath of Vengeance. I find diplomacy and discourse to be preferred, but I am no stranger to violence. Though I do not revel in battle like my mentor, Venture Captain Jonas Vividsun. I too am traveling to the North, though past Ustalav to the Lands of the Linnorm Kings. I have a task to seek the aid of a Cloud Giant Wizard for the society. I would happily accompany you ladies on your journey and continue upon my own afterwards. Avelina you are one of the most fashionable people I have had the pleasure to meet. I too wear whites, but mixed with purple as they are the favored colors of the Spirit of Abandon. I have been considering selling this mithral shirt and purchasing a wand of mage armor to protect me instead, while I am generally quite clumsy, I find this armor to restrict my movements in battle, what do you think? Also while Suli may be married, I am not. I enjoy finding companionship wherever I go especially during my daily Obediences. Your completion is so fair and alluring. In my homeland such blonde hair is very rarely seen. I’d happily be girlfriends, or girl friends as you see fit.” Honor winks at Avelina at the end of her statements.
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1 "Oh, I am very sorry to have offended you, Lady Avelina. I never mean to offend people. I can put on more if you prefer." Honor pulls out a cloak from her backpack and puts it on, making sure to cover herself a bit better. "What beautiful wings you have Suhaila. I completely agree about protecting people that have been abducted, if that is the case. I would love to help. I am great at finding out information from talking to people, but not very good at finding things I am looking for."
Avelina of Mendev wrote: Avelina taps her longsword-shaped wand in her hand. "Even in the case of whirlwind romance, this manner of behavior is utterly deplorable! For a man to expose himself thusly is...." She blushes wildly, holding out the wand to mark her exclamations. "Perverted! Devilish! Beastly! No gentleman should ever conduct himself in such a manner." A beautiful Qadiran woman, wearing very little other than a mithral shirt steps forward. "Surely Arshea, The Spirit of Abandon, would support someone expressing themselves thusly. We should all strive to abandon needlessly restraining beliefs. As long as such expression is harmless or mutually agreed upon we should embrace freedom to experience love and sensuality as we see fit. Though if this man is lost or out of sorts we shall find and help him home." |
